Hotel in zona McLaren Park Community Garden, Auckland

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte al motel a seguito dell'inondazione di Auckland alla fine di gennaio, che aveva portato all'annulazione del nostro volo a Vancouver. Ian era molto accogliente - quando ci siamo reclutati, non eravamo sicuri quante notti avremmo bisogno, perché il nostro volo non era stato ripreso in quel momento, quindi ci ha trasferiti in una stanza disponibile per almeno 3 notti. La nostra camera (12) era spaziosa e pulita e aveva tutto quello che ci serviva. Il centro commerciale di New Lynn è a pochi passi da camminare e dispone di molte opzioni alimentari e negozi. Il motel ha offerto grande valore per i soldi.

Booked a last-minute room here at Roomie due to road closures up in Northland and a long day of flying. The price seemed excellent, and the pictures online, whilst a bit vague, looked pretty nice. I did email the place to enquire on Reception Hours, as I was not going to be arriving until late. I was told there was a 24-hour reception, and someone would be on the desk to greet me. Little hard to find the place. Located down a One Way Street by the Avondale Train Station. There was no signage I could see that told me that I even had the right building. It was dark, so there may have been a Unilluminated one, but it was tricky at the time. I pulled up to the gate, which didn't open. It appeared I needed a key card. I double parked down the street and then tried to get in through another gate, which I also found needed a key card. I had to run back to the car and get a torch to be able to read the little sign, which told me I needed to Buzz the Reception who would open the Gate. The Gent at Reception was pretty quiet and disinterested. Sign In was done on those annoying tablet things, where you need to enter email addresses, etc. I went back and got the car to bring it into the Hotel CarPark. Unfortunately, you actually have to pull in, then get out of the car, and Swipe you Key Card to open the gate before jumping in and driving through. The only Car Park I could find was right at the bottom in a very tight corner. Unfortunately, there is only one entrance, so you have to walk back up and past the desk. Unfortunately, no matter what I tried, I could not get the lift to work. It just would not go to the level below. It just kept taking me up and down, but never to the level below reception where my room was. The Gent didn't seem too interested in the problem, just pointing over at the stairs. So I thudded all my bags down the stairs to the lower level. Here, I found there were no signs pointing out where the rooms were. I literally had to wander the corridors until I found my room. It wouldn't be hard to put up a poster, a map, or some signs, pointing out the directions of the rooms. Especially when the reception didn't seem to be detailed in his directions. The room was delightful. It really was. Clearly bigger than the one I booked, I was really taken with its layout and design. The main part had a sofa, small dining table, and a large telly with Freeview, but also ChromeCast. The kitchen was extremely well equipped, with enough stuff to cook a decent meal. Even had a dishwasher to boot! Open the fridge only to find the dreaded UHT Milk, and only 3 little pottles at that. What an absolute letdown. A small bottle of fresh milk just makes so much difference. A large bed lay off to the side. Unfortunately you could not see the TV from Bed, which was a shame. The bathroom was smallish, but it did have a separate toilet room and an amazing shower. Super hot and with generous pressure. A shower you could spend a long time in. There were a sachet

On the website one can already see this property is in need of a far overdue renovation. Rooms I mn the original building are not soundproof, have stuff which was common in the eighties and will never return and somehow cannot make up its mind whither target market is. It seems they cater to the elderly, while their guests are younger. Therefor a mismatch. The spa is excellent and so is the food in the menu. However be prepared to eat this wonderful food in an outdated restaurant setting. With a marvellous view of Auckland though. The staff all seem happy to be here, but lack attention to detail. An email sent to me prior to my stay spoke of a road that would be closed on may something, while the booking was made in July for august… furthermore, make sure to clean in top of cupboards in guest rooms too (spiderwebs dust, dead insects where abundantly present). Why is the bar in the cosy fireplace lounge lit up like a cristmas tree which takes away all atmosphere again? And why is the music soo off compared to the atmosphere you would want to create here (and only audible in the reception area by yet again… speakers that date back from the eighties and create a creepy twin peaks like feeling? Just a couple of examples of the many things we saw.. With so much potential it seems only logical that an investor will buy it at make the needed changes in all perspective.

TLDR: no aircon, constant power cuts, paper thin walls.. Where do I start. First off there’s no aircon so the rooms are hot and uncomfortable. There are ducted low speed fans which don’t do much. But the biggest problem is the fact the rooms are on what I believe to be motion sensors or some kind of timers so ALL power turns off every 25 seconds, this is not an exaggeration. This includes the lights, jug, the fan - everything. I stubbed my toes in the dark because the lights turned off while I was walking around, and they wouldn’t turn back on. Showering in the dark due the lights constantly on and off. Good luck making a coffee, showering, watching TV or anything without that being interrupted by constant power cuts which drive you mad. I booked the small room. They look small in the photos but even smaller in person and I felt like I was suffocating, the rooms are tiny so heat up like crazy. The smallest hotel room I’ve ever seen. Also the walls are paper thin so I could hear my neighbours conversations word for word.. even with ear plugs. If there was air con and sound proof walls, I could have put up with the extremely small space. Terrible experience. Don’t even bother with this place. The Abstract had a lot of potential as they have decorated it very nicely but they have let themselves down. It is also in a dangerous area of Auckland central so you will want to make sure you are back in your room by dark, lots of drunk homeless people around. After my first night of zero sleep due to the heat, stuffiness and neighbours chatting, I complained and had my room kindly upgraded to a larger one, but the same issues remained of constant power cuts and no air con in that room too. At least it was a bit cooler due to being larger and an extra window, also had no neighbours.. The customer service was pretty good. There is no parking on site so you have to park in a carpark building across the road. The food in the restaurant was average but has a beautiful outdoor dining area which was the highlight.

Si trova in città e ha un buon accesso, ma si trova nel mezzo di un ripido pendio, quindi è un buon esercizio quando si trasportano bagagli di grandi dimensioni a piedi o quando si accede dal lato del porto (parte inferiore del pendio). Sebbene sia un vecchio hotel, è relativamente ben pulito. Suoni e voci dal corridoio e dalla stanza accanto passano spesso attraverso la stanza, e la zona intorno all'hotel può essere animata di notte, quindi non è consigliata a chi desidera una struttura tranquilla.

Rimasi per una settimana per un viaggio di lavoro intenso e è stato molto bello tornare a questo hotel molto pulito e confortevole ogni notte. Il personale di ricezione era grande, soprattutto Shane, che era incredibilmente personale e utile, e si è spinto sopra e oltre per assicurarsi che avessi tutto quello che avevo bisogno.

L'Holiday Inn Express è uno dei miei hotel preferiti durante il mio soggiorno in Nuova Zelanda 2-week. Situato nel cuore della zona cbd di Auckland e vicino a tutto (supposti, ristoranti, bar, porto). È un passo 6-minute alla Sky Tower dove si può prendere l'autobus Airport Express per $17 nzd. L'ingresso dell'hotel è in un inclinamento significativo. La reception è al secondo piano che si può prendere un ascensore o un escalatore. La caffetteria e il piccolo salone sono a destra del ricevimento. Il colazione è stato il solito uova scrambled, salsa, ham, toast, yogurt, cereali, frutta, muffin e altre pasticcerie. A causa del grande volume di clienti, le due macchine da caffè erano di solito basse sul latte per preparare alcune bevande da caffè.Amo la stanza. Il giardino è sul bagno e ha abbastanza spazio per il bagaglio. La doccia è chiusa in un cubo di vetro con disegni d'onda. Un luce notturna nella camera da bagno ha risparmiato energia se avete bisogno di un po' di luce per muoversi intorno alla stanza. Il letto era comodo e l'a/c ha funzionato. Il personale della reception mi ha fatto stare un'ora di più dopo l'ora di check-out per la stanza che avevo con la mia tour. La stanza che ho prenotato dopo la tour era pronta e mi sono resa a casa alle 11:00 prima della mia tour. La costruzione si sta verificando intorno all'hotel, con le strade in rovina e un nuovo edificio in costruzione vicino all'hotel.

Buono come sempre, tranne per il fatto che le strutture dei vecchi hotel in Nuova Zelanda sono relativamente obsolete ma il servizio è eccellente e il personale è molto entusiasta

Ci piaceva il nostro tempo in questo hotel. Le camere erano pulite, moderne e tranquille. Il letto e le mutandine erano molto confortevoli e ci sentiamo ben riposati la mattina. Apprezziamo che la stanza che abbiamo prenotato abbia una TV intelligente che possiamo collegare facilmente e guardare il Signore degli anelli, e apprezziamo anche che ci fosse una microonde, un piccolo frigo e alcuni oggetti di cucina, tra cui un tavolo da taglio. La doccia era enorme con grande pressione e i prodotti da bagno contenevano olio di cacao e profumavano molto. Solo la denuncia che abbiamo per la stanza è che le tubazioni erano rumorose quando la valvola di vetro era un po' aperta e la porta di doccia di vetro era spazzata contro il vetro di chiusura della doccia. Non c'è molto vicino all'hotel, ma a piedi 10 minuti in qualsiasi direzione potremmo trovare qualcosa da fare o mangiare. Abbiamo fatto un bel po' di biglietti per la Coppa del Mondo l'ultimo giorno a Auckland e siamo stati piacevolmente sorpresi che la stazione Britomart vicina abbia offerto un trasporto gratuito a Eden Park per i titolari di biglietti, e questo è normale per grandi eventi a Auckland. Siamo stati a circa cinque minuti a piedi dalla stazione e questo è stato davvero grande. Arrivare all'aeroporto/a questo hotel dall'aeroporto è un po' di tempo per cui abbiamo scelto di usare Uber.

Molto impressionante niente di sbagliato Io rimarrò e consigliare a chiunque buon prezzo mantenuto ai standard elevati sul personale di scala sono stati amici e il check in ed out piacevole saluto e addio an erano ospitato al nostro check in precoce .. Grazie al personale Nesuto
