Central location, beautiful building from the outside, the lobby and common areas are very tastefully renovated, it smells very good, GRECOTEL has done a great job with ”THE DOLLI” and the renovation from the very first impression. However, the hotel seems to have overlooked the installation of soundproof windows, a major shortcoming in 2023/2024, especially considering the room rates. The single-glazed windows let in outside noise from nearby bars/restaurant (with annoying (live rock) music) and street cleaners (at 1:00 am) , severely impacting sleep quality. The initial welcome was exceptional, but the overall experience gradually declined. The Acropolis Suite boasted a stunning view, but was spoiled by an inconvenient layout, with the bed awkwardly positioned (in a corner between the wall and the window, so you had to crawl out) and lacking privacy without closed curtains (the guest/s of the suite next door could see directly into my bed.). The room's design was lacking with poorly placed electrical outlets and no desk to work on. A connecting door to a neighboring suite presented soundproofing issues, allowing noise to be easily heard. In addition, on the 4th floor, where the suite was located, the sound of chairs being moved in the restaurant above and the housekeeping activity in the hallway during the day was quite audible. After moving to another suite due to the bed layout (on Day 2), I found cleanliness to be an issue with several noticeable hair clusters on the floor - It seems the room wasn't even mopped beforehand, which is the only explanation I can think of. The suite facing the street suffered from significant noise disturbance due to inadequate sound proofing, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. While breakfast and service were excellent, with friendly and attentive staff, these positives were overshadowed by problems with sleep and cleanliness in the second suite. Initially worth a 4 out of 5 rating, these drawbacks lead me in rating the hotel at 2 out of 5. Light sleepers are unlikely to enjoy a restful night here.

Siamo stati qui per 4 notti durante il fine settimana dell'Ortodossa Pasqua e era fab. Senza spazi puliti. Amichevole, utile personale e una posizione centrale circondata da bar e ristoranti. Una passeggiata facile da tutti i siti principali rende una grande base per esplorare la città.Abbiamo una stanza con balcone e vista sull'Acropolis e abbiamo consegnato la colazione ogni giorno. Molto comodo e tranquillo per dormire una notte solida... anche con le campane di Pasqua che chiamino!

Well, well, well, what can i write or say about this gem. The Electra Palace Hotel, located bang in the middle of downtown Athens is absolutely superb. Everything the city has to offer is within walking distance from the hotel. The view of the Acropolis from our room is spectacular, not to mention the to ”die-for” view from the 8th floor restaurant - you can ”touch” the Acropolis from here!😄 The breakfast at the Electra Palace is top notch and is delicious. The service at the hotel is top notch, and one of the best I have ever experienced in over 30 years of travelling. The staff, from the concierge to the receptionists, and restaurant staff, all provided extremely high professional services. I will single out George, the receptionist, who made us feel extremely welcome with one of the biggest smiles and professional services I have ever experienced. George has a saying each time we interacted with him, and it was ”each time you smile, good things will always come your way.” This saying came through when George found my brand new Samsung Ear Bud after I lost it and the hotel began a whole day of searching inside the hotel and outside at the restaurants we visited. Thank you, George, you're the best. Also, Dimitris, who helped us with our luggages was fantastic. All in all, Electra Palace Hotel is a superb hotel, and we will definitely go back there.

I traveled here with my sister and adult daughter for a short stay before a cruise. The location is amazing. Hotel is located in a quiet area not far from Acropolis Musem and hop on/off bus stop is 2 blocks away. We had a lovely view of acropolis from our balcony, and I had mentioned it was my daughter's birthday, so we were given a nice fruit basket with other goodies to celebrate. There are a few restaurants nearby and a bakery which has excellent sandwiches. The included breakfast was very filling and offered eggs, sausages, several varieties of breads and rolls, fruit, awesome yoghurt, spanakopita, cereal, juice, and numerous baked goods. The room was very clean and had some storage and a mini fridge. There is a rooftop deck, but the stairs are very narrow. The staff was very friendly and very helpful with offering advice on things to see and giving great directions. The area is very safe and the hotel provides maps and access to guidebooks in their lobby. I would stay here again.

Non sembra un 5 stelle dai servizi che offre. In ogni caso, la vista dalla terrazza all’ottavo piano è la sua forza. Dalla piscina non si vede l’acropoli, che invece è possibile ammirare da un altro punto più alto della terrazza. La piscina è bella, ma purtroppo è sacrificata dalle transenne che la circondano; probabilmente per non fare entrare più gente nello stesso momento. Il servizio in piscina è stato scarso: l’addetto faceva il suo lavoro probabilmente controvoglia; non era gentile e solerte, ma al contrario quasi annoiato dalle richieste legittime e minime dei clienti. Per portare un menu ci metteva mezz’ora, per dire. Peccato, perché il cibo era buonissimo; il ristorante che ospita l’hotel è veramente ottimo e consiglio di pranzare o cenare lì. Il personale della reception è stato gentile e ci hanno offerto un upgrade gratuito della camera. Devo segnalare che il frigo piangeva! Non c’era nemmeno un piccolo snack, e il rifornimento d’acqua non c’era ( dovevi tu chiamare ). Non c’erano gli accappatoi, solo asciugamani. La colazione non è male, c’è molta varietà di scelta. Forse l’hotel è un tantino lontano dal quartiere più turistico (piazza Monastiraki ), ci vuole almeno una mezz’ora a piedi.

Da quando sono arrivato, la mia stanza era pronta a lasciare le mie borse in mezzo al lobby fino a quando ci sono voluti più di 30 minuti per controllare, questa squadra ha bisogno di un lavoro. (Il signore che mi ha controllato non avrebbe potuto essere più piacevole, però!) - Anche se la mia prenotazione mi ha dichiarato che sarebbe stato pagato al check-in, la mia carta di credito è stata pagata diversi giorni prima della mia arrivo, il che ha portato a rimborsare la carta (come non era mia) di pagare un altro. Il personale che mi ha controllato non sembrava sapere come fare questo che ha portato a diverse chiamate telefoniche e il sopra menzionato controllo di 30 minuti. Non sarebbe stato un problema se avessero seguito la loro politica. - Questo posto è LOUD. pareti molto sottili + massimali elevati significa che il suono trasporta in tutto. Se si sceglie di rimanere qui, consiglierei le pendule.

La struttura si trova nel cuore di Atene, tra Monastiraki e la Plaka, a pochissimi metri dall'Acropoli e da piazza Syntagma. Questo permette di visitare comodamente la città. Per chi arriva ad Atene in aereo, è possibile prendere il bus X95 dall'aeroporto e arrivare al capolinea a piazza Syntagma, poi in cinque minuti si è alla struttura. La stanza è ampia, molto pulita, il letto comodo e lo stesso anche i cuscini. Il bagno grande con una doccia davvero bella e ampia. Dato che sono arrivato di sera molto tardi e poi partito di mattina molto presto, non ho incontrato i gestori nè al mio arrivo nè alla partenza, però mi hanno mandato per messaggio tutte le indicazioni per entrare, prendere la chiave e accedere alla stanza e poi per lasciarla. Tutto è stato molto semplice. All'interno della stanza c'è anche un piccolo angolo cottura che io non ho utilizzato ma che può essere molto comodo. Servizio wifi abbastanza buono, non velocissimo ma buono.

Agree with all the positive comments, and can’t add any negative one. First, have to thank Soula and the staff at the gelato shop where you first arrive, all very helpful, friendly, and truly caring for you to enjoy your stay. Soula is a rock star, she makes you feel like family, like she truly cares for you, she’s amazing. Her going above and beyond expectations started when we returned from siteseeing after we had stored our bags due to our very early arrival from our cruise. We were nicely surprised to find our bags had been moved into the apartment. Then, to top that off, we had cold water and fruits waiting for us, a thoughtful touch to give us energy for our afternoon. As far as the apartment, we had the top floor (6th) which required a few stairs after the elevator, not bad, but something to think about. We chose that apartment because it’s the one with the outdoor patio. However, we never really used the patio during our two nights, mainly because it doesn’t face the Parthenon and the windows in the room open completely to that incredible view making you feel like the whole apartment is a balcony. Noticed some of the other rooms also face the Parthenon and have the great windows in case you don’t think you’ll use the balcony, I think one or two the same size as the one on the 6th, savings would be worth the extra research
