Hotel in zona Thomas Shop, Atene

Very good: location and cool furniture. Considering the price, I prefer this hotel’s room than A for Athens Acropolis view in lower floor. But in terms of hospitality of receptionists, A for Athens are nicer. In brief, it’s hard to say which is the best 😆.

Sono una ragazza e sono venuta ad Atene da sola. Dopo aver prenotato questo hotel, ho letto i problemi menzionati nelle recensioni che mi hanno messo molto a disagio. Tuttavia, quando ho fatto il check-in, ho scoperto che in realtà non c'era alcun problema. L'igiene dell'hotel è molto buona, il personale della reception è molto cordiale e l'aria condizionata in camera è più che sufficiente, permettendomi di riposarmi bene dopo il ritorno dal clima esterno di 40 gradi. La prima notte non ho fatto il check-in fino all'una del mattino e ho incontrato le ** persone menzionate nei commenti, ma fintanto che mi sono mantenuto a distanza e non ho stabilito un contatto visivo, era ancora molto sicuro. Sembrava che non si accorgessero dei pedoni che passavano, facendo le loro cose. Sceglierò di nuovo qui la prossima volta che verrò ad Atene!

BEWARE of Rip off by Tour Operator - Destination Services - for Pre Tour Accommodation!! We booked 5 day Greece, Nafplion, Olympia, Delphi Tour via Tour Radar website. We requested tour operator for one night pre tour accommodation in the same hotel from where the tour was starting. Price quoted was 143 Euros. When I checked via ***********, the price was - wait!! Only 54 Euros! What!! When I queried with Tour Radar and with Tour Operator, I got the unbelievable excuse stating that the tour operator booked the hotels via 12 month contract!! What? Are you kidding? Should that make it cheaper or 2.5 time more expensive!! So I booked directly with the same hotel. But Tour Operator - Destination services - refused to pick us up from the airport unless we paid extra even though airport transfers were included in the price we paid for the tour!! Another, misleading advertising is on Tour Radar website for the tour. When I booked the tour for 2 persons sharing a room, the price I paid was around 9% more than advertised on Tour Radar website. When I queried, I was told that the advertised price was for 3 persons sharing a room!! What? Is that not false advertising? The tour itself was ok except for a few major and minor issues. The TV did not work in one of the hotels and when I checked with reception I just got ‘Sorry’. The tour bus dropped us off 100 metres from our hotel and we had to carry all our luggage along the pavement to the hotel. Our tour guide, while very knowledgeable, was very grumpy, and told us off for asking simple logistics questions. On the other hand, the tour guide for Athens tour and Acropolis was excellent and explained the history really well. Each morning in Athens we lost more than an hour as buses picked up participants from various hotels and we all waited for ‘exchange’ of passengers between buses. On the positive side, the breakfast and dinners at the hotels in Olympia and Delphi were very good. Also, I received prompt responses to my queries by the tour operator. In summary, the tour itself is ok but BEWARE of the tour operator OVERCHARGING significant Euros for pre tour accommodation because they feel they have captive audience. I suggest that you do your own research and compare the prices for the hotel on the internet.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel una settimana. L'hotel si trova in una via molto trafficata sia di giorno che di notte vicinissima alla stazione della metropolitana. La camera, un po' datata per quanto riguarda l'arredamento, nonostante fosse situata sopra la strada è risultata ben insonorizzata, anche grazie alla presenza dei doppi vetri. Aria condizionata ben funzionante. Ottima la pulizia, con cambio quotidiano degli asciugamani e ogni due giorni della biancheria. Personale gentile alla reception e disponibile. All'ultimo piano c'e' una terrazza/bar aperta dalle 20.00 alle 24.00 dove si può sorseggiare un drink con una splendida vista dell'Acropoli. Unica pecca la colazione che per quanto riguarda i dolci è molto limitata. Se dovessi ritornare ad Atene sicuramente ritornerei in questo hotel. Consigliato.

Excellent value for money hotel in a fantastic location just a few minutes walk from Athens’ most visited spots. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. No tea/coffee making facilities but I don’t know if that’s normal in Athens, but there is a fridge and great air conditioning. Then roof top bar in their sister hotel Plaka is well worth a visit. Highly recommend.

La mia seconda visita ad Atene, questo hotel era in una posizione perfetta vicino a tutto quello che volevamo visitare. La colazione era buona, il personale era sorprendente e l'hotel era molto sicuro dopo un certo periodo di chiusura delle porte automatiche e si poteva entrare solo con la carta chiave. Aveva le porte e le finestre con chiavi, così il sole non ti ha colpito per la prima volta la mattina, e i puliziari erano sorprendenti che avevano pulito la nostra stanza due volte al giorno, quindi li abbiamo lasciati al tappeto alla fine della nostra visita. Molto consigliare questo hotel a chiunque visita questa bella città

AMO rimanere in questo hotel e restare di nuovo se avessi visitato Atene di nuovo. Dal momento in cui siamo arrivati, siamo stati salutati da Harris (il manager, credo, era costantemente in ricezione o nella zona del bar) siamo stati molto benvenuti. Arrivammo alle 11:00 (la check-in doveva essere alle 3:00, ma ci ha permesso di entrare immediatamente nella nostra stanza - e ci ha anche aggiornato in una bella stanza con un massiccio balcone. La stanza era bella e moderna e disponeva di molte belle strutture, tra cui la tosta dentale e i set di pasta dentale e i bellissimi bagni. C'era un frigorifero con acqua in bottiglia, la stanza aveva un aria condizionata e la piu' grande doccia a piedi mai. Abbiamo anche potuto archiviare i nostri casi dopo un'esame tardivo. This is a beautiful boutique hotel. They are very new and need to work on their communication skills. We were told that the rooftop was closed and that we need to order breakfast the day prior and it would be delivered to our room at the desired time. We waited for our breakfast the following morning and it did not arrive. We went downstairs to hear that breakfast is served on the rooftop ( which we were told was closed). Apparently they changed the plan and didn’t think to inform us. Since we were being picked up for a tour…we had to hurry out with a light snack. That same night, at 11:30 pm we heard someone knocking on a door…only to have the door opened by a man (who apologized). As we were two women travelling together -this was a very upsetting security incident. There are no latches to ensure ure our safety from the inside. The decor is modern and calming. There is a nespresso coffee machine supplied (nice touch). The room was spacious and very clean. We enjoyed our stay…but we’re disappointed in missing out on breakfast and the man unlocking our door late at night. A bit far from the centre of town-but on a Main Street.

Un nuovo hotel, questo posto è molto contemporaneo e utilizza tutti gli spazi limitati che ha in modo molto efficiente. Abbiamo ricevuto un check-in da Valga che era amichevole, utile ed efficiente. La nostra camera era senza spot e fredda. Le letti sono molto duri, quindi avvisate se ti piace una mattina morbosa. La stanza aveva tutto quello che ci serviva, tranne il latte che dovete ottenere dalla ricezione. Un desayuno continentale può essere acquistato per €13. Ci è una piccola palestra se si sente incline a usarlo. Valga ha aiutato con una buona raccomandazione di ristorante e ha chiamato taxi di buon valore per noi. È stata una superstar.
