Buon saluto dalla Germania! Questa è la mia quarta visita al Grecotel Caramel Boutique Hotel, e come sempre abbiamo avuto un bel tempo! Il resort ha un'atmosfera magica e un ambiente molto bello, pieno di vari fiori e piante, nonché una splendida spiaggia. Ma ciò che rende questo hotel così speciale è la piacevole squadra ✨ Vorrei esprimere la mia profonda gratitudine all'intero team per aver assicurato che il mio soggiorno fosse piacevole e confortevole! Un comando speciale al signor Alex dal ristorante a la carte. Con la sua squadra stellare, essi superavano le aspettative, e i gusti culinari, dai corsi principali ai dessert e alle bevande, non erano solo di alta qualità, ma anche deliziosi e bellissimi. Ogni sera ho goduto di un grande cibo, musica vivente e un bel servizio. Il mio più caldo apprezzamento va all'intero personale! La loro gentilezza, efficienza, ospitezza e vera calore hanno contribuito in modo immenso all'esperienza complessiva! Bella salute e grazie alle belle signore con cuori dolci: Soula, Litsa, Konstantino, Maria, e i signori: Oggy, Grigorios, Dimitri, Arbri, e naturalmente tutti gli altri!!! E grazie alla bella squadra di accoglienza che ha sempre cercato di migliorare il nostro soggiorno! Devo sottolineare in particolare il servizio eccellente fornito dalla dolce Persa. Il suo professionalismo non parallele, combinato con la sua vera sensibilità, ha fatto un'impressione duratura. Lovely hotel, a good 4 out of 5 from me The hotel is impressive looking, especially at night. The pools are lovely and staff great. I was especially touched by the effort Irina, Debi and Demitris put into make sure my partner had a very special 60th birthday at the resort. The hotel group also own a farm which you can visit and enjoy a fabulous meal as part of the package. A sister hotel has a water park which we enjoyed too. Our room was a fabulous location with a little garden leading right out to the pool. It was a little dated but perfectly functional. The swim up rooms looked amazing but i rarely saw people in the water. Not sure how suited they would be for kids. My one frustration was the a la carte restaurants. You have to book 6 days in advance and you are limited as to how many times you can use them. Although the buffet was by far one of the best we have experienced, we much prefer to have an a la carte dinner. We maxed out our booking slots (accepting we would have a handful of buffet meals, but did this before we knew about the hotel entertainment schedule. We had to forgo two a la carte restaurants in order to enjoy the entertainment. Also worth noting for families that one restaurant is only available for 12+ guests and another published on the website is only open in high season so we had a greek, Italian and asain available to us. The hotel has a lovely chocolate shop and does fabulous desserts (although very chocolate based). There is a crepe and waffle place open till 6pm. the buffet closes after mealtimes. I understand the bar offers late night snacks. The drinks are good quality although I have to say the drinks from the long bar by the restaurants are by far superior. Shame there isn’t a lounge area to sit at there. Would I go again, probably. I must admit though the offer at Mitsis with the creperie open til 2am and the a la carte ‘street food’ by the pool is a bit more suited to our tastes.

Siamo stati in questo hotel 3 giorni e eravamo in compagnoa di una coppia di amici. Avevamo chiesto 2 camere standard, al nostro arrivo per lo stesso prezzo i nostri amici ricevono una tripla e noi una matrimoniale. Ci rendiamo conto sul posto che la matrimoniale standard per le nostre esigenze è troppo piccola (non era possibile aprire la valigia media se non sul letto, e ne avevamo due perché siamo una coppia) e chiediamo in reception se è possibile fare un upgrade (ovviamente pagando, specificandolo al telefono che avremmo dato la differenza). Ci viene detto prima che non è possibile, poi che forse il giorno dopo, alla fine che avrebbero cercato. Attendiamo circa 10 minuti senza toccare nulla ne aprire il bagaglio (nel caso in cui fosse stato possibile cambiare subito stanza) ma non abbiamo risposta quindi scendiamo in reception dove troviamo la receptionist gentile e il proprietario ( probabilmente) che si rivolge a noi in modo molto sgardato, come se gli stessimo dando fastidio, (dice che i nostri amici sono stato fortunati!) ci ha detto di parlare con lui e non con la sua dipendente, in un inglese stentato, a voce molto alta e sembrava non capire la nostra richiesta. Alla fine abbiamo chiarito che la stanza non c’era e l’upgrade sarebbe stato possibile ma il giorno dopo, senza indicarci un orario ma un generico “dopo la colazione” e a noi non andava bene in base al nostro programma di viaggio (saremmo stati fuori e non certo seduti in albergo ad aspettare di cambiare stanza). Colazione con prodotti non eccellenti. Stanza al quarto piano, non ristrutturato rispetto ai piani inferiori, molto buia.l’unico pregio è la posizione, davvero centralissimo per raggiungere il centro storico di rethymno a piedi. Per chi si muove in macchina non disponibile parcheggio. A pochi passi c’è un parcheggio pubblico ma sempre pieno in alta stagione, quindi parcheggiare si puo ma armatevi di pazienza vista la zona centralissima.

Questo è un incredibile ristorante in una bella posizione vicino al mare, offrendo una varietà di cibi a pranzo e snack tutto il giorno. Hanno molte attività sportive e acquatiche da intraprendere durante il giorno, così come molte località di nuoto. Tutti i lavoratori sono stati molto generosi durante il nostro soggiorno, soprattutto Eleni (scusate la scarsa ortografia) che ci ha servito molto bene durante i nostri pasti.
