punti negativi. Camere 241 e 242, camera per famiglia, non dovrebbe essere venduta. Vi è al piano terra un sistema di aereazione che va ininterrottamente, giorno e notte, e non permette di dormire! La temperatura in camera è soffocante. Se si apre la finestra, il rumore è anche peggio. In un 4 stelle, simili camere non devono essere vendute. Il mattino, dalle 6.30, iniziano le pulizie nella zona colazione e ristorante al primo piano, con aspirapolvere. Rumore e colpi assicurati. Il cantiere dietro all'hotel, in rapporto, non è per nulla un problema. Posteggi troppo lontani. Punti positivi Colazione e personale della colazione eccellenti. Posizione centralissima. Suggerimento. Usate le stanze rumorose, che si trovano nella parte vecchia, come museo.

Abbiamo soggiornato per una notte nella suite. La stanza era pulita silenziosa di grande e con una vista sulla piazza principale. Non ha tutte le attenzioni di un 5 stelle ma ottimo 4 stelle. Ottimo cibo e personale gentile. Il paese è molto carino Consigliato

Hotel caratteristico e personale gentile, ma il letto era veramente scomodo e i soffitti molto bassi (certamente non dipende dalla direzione). Buono il ristorante per la cena. Si parcheggia nella piazza, ma con delle limitazioni orarie.

Buon hotel situato nella famosa piazza di Appenzell. Personale molto accogliente e gentile. Camera grande con salottino, vista sulle verdi colline. Bagno spazioso con vasca idromassaggio e doccia separata. Ristorante al primo piano sia per la colazione sia per la cena. Colazione buona con prodotti tipici locali. Ottima cena accompagnata con musica appenzellese suonata da un trio di giovani, simpatica esperienza. Bella la terrazza esterna davanti l'hotel. Da ritornare in futuro sicuramente

What an incredible place with such a rich history! Reception was wonderful. Very helpful with recommendations. We had one of our favorite dinners ever in the restaurant with wonderful service and delicious local food, wine, and whiskey. Great bed, shower, and view of the square with church bells ringing. Loved looking at all the historic pictures and knick knacks. We loved Appenzell, and highly recommend Romantik Hotel Santis!

We were part of a tour group and the hotel was just perfect. We had a huge room and bathroom, with a walk in shower which was just so appreciated. Dinner and breakfasts were excellent with a wide variety of options available. The staff were efficient and friendly. Perfect location for the old town (so many little shops and restaurants to explore) and a couple of supermarkets within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

I am a travel agent and have twice now brought a group of 30 Americans to this hotel with a tour company. Both times rooms and keys were ready upon arrival and we were happily received. Reception as always - was most pleasant. Evening group dinner was great and the waiter was truly a delight. I have stayed alone with my husband at this hotel several times many years ago and love their rooms, each one carefully and lovingly decorated. As for the breakfast - of course it is European, with excellent bread, butter, eggs, jams and cheeses. I would certainly recommend this hotel - even thought there is construction going on next door - which does not happen at night so no worries about sleeping - and during the day you should be out and about exploring anyway.

We have just returned home to the UK after a really enjoyable 7 night stay at Romantik Hotel Santis. It is a beautiful traditional hotel in an excellent location and we found everything about the hotel to our liking. The Hotel and our room were kept exceptionally clean, the food was five star and all the staff were very helpful and friendly with nothing being too much trouble. The Hotel clearly benefits from the personal hands on of the owners. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished, with a modern bathroom and everything a guest would require. As we were staying longer than three nights we were issued with Appenzeller tourist cards, which gave free access to three different cable ways, the local transport, and the museum, quite a nice perk when staying in Swizerland as things can be expensive. I have travelled to Switzerland on over thirty different occasions and found this hotel up with the best. It was my first visit to this particular area of Switzerland. Would I go back? Yes certainly in a heartbeat and I would also stay at this hotel.

Great local food choices, great services and great location. You are in the middle of the little town Appenzell that has so much history and character, it’s just fun to watch the people! Fabian was our waiter who was so attentive and fun, adorable and really cared about our needs!
