While staying here, you will get to drive over a little bridge and past a winding stream to get to our historic stone house where you will stay. The original structure was built in 1758. Out in the country with Amish neighbors all around, you will be delighted with the peaceful environment created by the little streams, rustic barn, and buggies going by on the road. The property use to be a winery with it's own vineyards. The house was where the vintner lived.Guest accessPlease make yourself at home, we love when we see guests enjoying our property. We have lots of outside space you can use like a fire pit, lots of wooded area for a picnic or a walk, patio area, deck, or you can sit down by the stream to enjoy the peace and quiet sound of rushing water.These are all shared spaces, so please be respectful to other guest when using them.Other things to note* There is no kitchen. The mini fridge is similar to what you would have at a hotel, but the other accommodations are much more spacious! Feel free to eat out, or get food delivered in. Dutchway Farm Market, 3 minutes away has a little walk in deli for a quick meal, or dine in at their restaurant. Pizza Box, also just minutes away, will deliver pizza as well.* We have a laundry room. Go out the front door and head straight to the red barn where the big deck staircase is. You will see a dark brown door underneath the deck. Settled in the heart of Lancaster County and Amish County, this cozy apartment is an ideal place to step back from the frantic pace of life to relax in this peaceful farm setting. The Fountain Hill Apartment has a private entrance and offers you a full-service kitchen and dining/living room area. Breakfast items including farm fresh eggs and milk, butter, homemade bread and cereal are provided. The fire pit next to the guesthouse is a great place to watch the stars at night. In the fall of 2023 we transitioned away from dairy cows. However, we still have dairy replacement heifers and beef cattle.
