We had a great experience at this hotel. The room was amazing, the staff was very friendly. Maybe it took a time to wait for room service to bring a bottle of champagne. Great service. I recommend to book the valet service very easy!
Nuovissima, bellissima struttura vicino al centro di Anversa con un servizio impeccabile, dove la disponibilità e la gentilezza del personale di accompagnano nel tuo soggiorno. Per contro la nostra Junior Suite, ubicata nel vecchio monastero, presentava qualche difetto, dalla camera da letto piccola, al bagno minuscolo e soprattutto alla ripidissima scale che collega l'ingresso alla zona giorno ubicata nel sotto-tetto, spazi non ben distribuiti e sistemati, la pulizia era invece ottima. Per la gentilezza e professionalità del personale ci ritornerei, per il tipo di camere no.

This is a beautiful place with great service, wonderful rooms, great workout facilities, close to the heart of the city with wonderful restaurants in the neighborhood. The x-mas decorations gave it a magical touch, What is not so good is that the hotel has not yet figured out who their main guests are. Paying hotel guest (paying a lot) or day trippers. I booked 3 x3 rooms and never managed to get a seat at the restaurant, had to wait endless time to get a not so good seat at the bar and never had a tranquil breakfast as the breakfast room gets swarmed by day trippers who want to take advantage of the wonderful breakfast buffet. Make up your mind, are you a five star hotel and then you have to take care of your customers or are you a restaurant/bar and then all customers are equal and you go for maximizing your profit but you can’t do both with the set up you have today. You rob your hotel guests from the five star experience. Too bad because all the ingredients to be a world class hotel are all here.

I did not stay in the hotel, just attended a private dining in the Chapel D, 15th-century Chapel. To pit it simpel, you are enjoying great food in the historic chapel, which is a totally different experience than in a regular dining event location. The food was great from start to end.

Very deceitful experience. Every thing is available but service ruins it and makes it cheap and frustrating. A total waste of a beautiful place. I also found the room a little too classical , no creativity, nor authenticity. Beautiful winter garden. Water is to be paid for in the room. A coffe is offered in the lobby when the room is not available, but if you wish to sit there and ask for a coffee, you are met with a refusal to have your coffee served in your favourite spot. What 5 star service is that, actually?

This is a beautiful place. It even smells good. It is somewhat centrally located depending on what you want to do (we came for a concert so some other hotels might have been closer). They are a 5 star and I believe most of the services are high quality. We especially liked the front desk staff. The rooms are small but don’t “feel” too small (normal Europe small certainly larger than the average Parisian hotel for example). We went for our anniversary and they added a special touch to the room. We would have liked to dine at one of the Michelin restaurants but there’s no real relationship with the hotel so there aren’t any special arrangements that can be made. It all worked out though as we ended up getting a last minute slot at Zilte and that worked maybe better for our diet. I think this is probably the nicest most unique hotel in Antwerp and I would PROBABLY stay there again (it’s not that pricey in my opinion as it’s essentially a resort and is on par with a resort price wise). My one hesitation is the less than stellar communication from the email address. I live abroad so calling is difficult so it would be nice if queries could be answered (only half of my communications were noted, including one I’m still waiting for a response from about a (very large) mystery charge).

I’ve traveled all over the world and this is by far one of the most special places I have ever stayed. The staff truly made this hotel feel like a sanctuary. Antoine, Wilhelmina, and Gonzo were just a few of the many people working there that made this experience exceptional. The architecture, the history, the tranquility…this exceeded all expectations. I can’t wait to come back. I really hope one day I can!

Beautiful location, very central to museums and others key areas. Amazing old hospital that is nicely renovated and decorated. Top of line restaurants and spa and fitness facility. The rooms are tiny for the price and category but the bathrooms are nicely organized. Many of the customer facing staff members do not speak Dutch which is embarrassing for the venue as clearly many customers do speak Dutch. Signs are often just in English even when involving safety. Suggests the place should enhance customer orientation.

One of, if not the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. The hotel itself was immaculate, the staff exceeded expectations with their service/level of care - I cannot think of a single thing they could improve on. Exceptional!
