The staff at the reception who managed my check-in and check-out was extremely rude and unprofessional to an extent that he ruined my stay and made everything else about this hotel that could have been pleasant insignificant.
First, he erroneously gave me the wrong room. Stayed there one night until the other staff abruptly asked us out in the morning. We had to go through the excruciating process of packing and unpacking again, which costed us time and energy as we had to wait until our new room, which was ironically occupied at the time, was prepared. It really doesn’t matter to me that the first room was bigger than what I had paid for because the difference was just the number of rooms that were redundant to me anyways. Had I known I will be kicked out after one night and sacrifice almost half a day, I would not have taken the room or even booked this hotel.
Second, while I checked out, the same staff seemed to charge me extra money without giving me any explanation and bluntly ordered me to provide a signature. I immediately asked him what this was for because I had made online prepayment before I arrived and the amount he charged me was well over 200 euros. I did not understand his explanation and soon he started yelling. His attitude was extremely hostile that I felt threatened and humiliated for kindly requesting an explanation that any customer deserves. Now I know that what he charged me was a belated deposit and there is nothing wrong with that. But I am extremely upset to fall victim to his condescending behavior.
I have stayed at plenty of hotels in many countries, and never have I ever encountered such an insulting employee.
