Really not all that was expected. My wife and her friend (whom I’d booked for) were put in an awful room and really not treated well. Finally a complaint got them to the room paid for but the pictures say it all. Some staff were friendly but some not. The location was good for central although not in a quiet neighbourhood but was a nice looking building

We unfortunately did not have a nice stay. Having read the previous reviews were expecting a dated decor - which did not bother us as the reviews were all quite positive aside from this. On arrival the lady at reception was very friendly and got us checked in quickly - she advised us that they had a few Wi-Fi networks that we could access for free. On getting to our room, we were a bit shocked at how small it was - we had a standard double room. The bed was slightly smaller than a standard double. The main light was hanging off the ceiling, a good 1-2 inch gap between the fixture and the ceiling so not particularly safe. There was a decent size fridge, and this had a small freezer in it and unfortunately the door to the freezer was missing and so everything we placed in the fridge would freeze. We tried connecting to the Wi-Fi networks but neither would work. There was a new LG aircon unit that we could not get to work, it kept flashing ‘CH 24’ after having a look online at the model we realised that the code appearing on the air con unit was an error code. I went to use the phone in the room to call reception and advise them of the various issues, but the phone wasn't even plugged in - there was not plug attached and no telephone point. It was an entirely pointless feature. We also noticed that when you flushed the toilet the water would continue running into the toilet, after two more flushes it stopped. We thought no more of it and put it down as a one-off. The following day it did not stop after a couple of flushes and we spoke to reception to advise them of this and that the air-con and Wi-Fi were both failing to work. The receptionist took a note of the error code from the air-con that we gave her and advised that the toilet always did this and always took 2 or 3 flushes to stop the water running. I was not particularly impressed with this response as I should not be expected to spend my time continuously flushing a toilet, they should not have put us in the room knowing this was an issue, at the very least they should have warned us of this. She said that she would get someone to look at the air-con and the toilet. As expected, the following day the issue continued, but this time it would not stop. The toilet continuously ran with water. Two or three minutes after flushing the toilet, water would start running until you flushed it and then it happened again, we continued like this for an hour and it would not stop, we spoke to them again and the receptionist we spoke to this time (different to the one we had spoken to before) said that she would get someone to look at it. I advised her that this had been going on for three days and that this was our final day, someone should have looked at it already and they obviously hadn’t, along with the air con and Wi-Fi. Luckily they had a room spare and put us in there for the final night, the room was nice than the previous one but we were still not particularly happy with how this had been
