Amritsar Grand by Levelup Hotels 100 Meters from Golden Temple

This hotel has got best recommendation, so I booked with dinner and breakfast. The photos on sites are very attractive. But in reality the executive room is also very small. No window. Quality of everything is average. Like taps, jet spray. Only good thing that ac was working fine. The food is not at all good. very average with very limited options. I will not recommend this hotel to any one. The basement parking is very difficult and limited.

The only good thing at this hotel was it’s food. The hotel location is in a congested area and the hygiene is a big concern. The room size is very small and the condition of washrooms are also very bad. They must look into it immediately. However, they have some space for parking in the basement and that can be ***aged if available.

For the price, it’s pretty good - not much more to be expected. Rooms and bathrooms could use a deep clean but the room itself was fairly comfortable and had working AC. Couldn’t get the hot water to work even with the geyser on which was fine simply because I needed a coldish shower anyways (didn’t alert the hotel staff simply at the time - there might have been an easy fix - I wouldn’t know) Only thing that was mildly annoying is it seems that one of the reception ladies while checking my MakeMyTrip booking on my phone went into my email to do a review on the MakeMyTrip website while I was paying attention to the other lady who was checking my travel documents. I only found out when I went into my email app and saw the email open and clicked into it to get a “you already made a review” error. Seems to be aligned with other reviews on TripAdvisor regarding their pushiness for a good review .

The hotel is very well positioned in the city as it is close to the major attractions. It is equipped just for its class - nothing special. It offers breakfast, but the choice is very limited and there are no dishes other than local - not even eggs... The reception staff are nice but... They press the guests to publish opinions on booking under their supervision and pressure. If the opinion does not suite the ***ager, they press the guest to change it. Consequently, I would not value the high opinions on the hotel too much. Also there is one major inconvenience - payment. According to the information on Booking, the hotel accepts payment by major credit/debit cards like Visa or MasterCard. Then, when it comes to payment you are informed that the hotel DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY INTERNATIONAL CARDS - only India issued cards are accepted. The option is to PAY IN CASH, but the hotel has NO MONEY EXCHANGE and it accepts CASH PAYMENTS IN INDIAN CURRENCY ONLY. This can be a significant inconvenience as not everybody carries sufficient cash in the pocket and exchange counters are nowhere near the hotel (some shop owners offer changing money at a rate better than official changers, but you take the risk...).

I booked this hotel for my one friend [Client] came from france. i was also with them but stay in another hotel. i will say hotel is good and close to golden temple and other few attractions of Amritsar. good and clean rooms they have Restaurant with good quwality of food. Mr Sukhraj Singh Ji [GM] doing very well here but i will like to suggest him that plz update as soon as possible when you get any kind of payment from guest or person who booked the room, when i booked room i paid a advance amount as mr singh told me, and all balance [rest] i paid at check in time. but i was so shocked at checkout time i have to wait with my friend on reception long time, because one girl on reception was confirming my payments . so it was very disappointing. Hope next time in future it will not repeat with any another guest.

i stayed here for 2 days Most pathetic hotel staff will enter in your rooms with master key , without your permission, ***egement is unaware of the situation and your belongings are at a risk here ! not at all recommended if you are travelling first time or you want peace of mind while your travel ! General ***ager will only say sorry ! not recommended

Had an amazing experience..... good thing is that this hotel is located near golden temple..... rooms were clean....very cooperative staff.....delecious food....i will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends..... would love to come here again.

Not worth it. Room sizes are very small, I couldn't even open my luggage, had to use the bed every time. Bathroom is the worst. Very shabby, not clean. We had 3 rooms, water was not coming in one room, 2 rooms electric kettle was not working, my electric kettle was working but in pathetic condition. (image attached). Food was just ok The only good thing is, it is near the Golden temple. So I gave 2 star.

Worst service provided by the agents ( specially TANIA ) working in hotel amritsar grand. While booking false statements were given to me stating that the room is available and when we asked her to send the confirmation nothing was sent to us we went back again asking for the confirmation and then she changed her statement that its sold out...why wrong statements are given to us because of you guys we have already booked our flights. Can a senior ***ager check the screenshots I have attached beacuse it clearly says that I have to confirm the booking today and even today she checked the availability and confirmed it to me . Kindly get back to me regarding the loss I have to bear.
