Hotel in zona E.Leclerc Amboise, Amboise

We had a spacious room. A large heated pool, one side of which is also significantly deeper than usual. The pool has a nice view of the castle and nature. There was a self-service refrigerator with soft drinks by the pool (for a fee). The house had a spacious lounge with a piano and billiards. In the corridor there is a large display with hunting trophies. The house and interior could use some updating in several places, but overall the condition is still OK. Amboise city centre with its many attractions is a 10-minute drive away. There are several castles in the immediate vicinity that are worth visiting. Since all the customer service in the hotel was done by one person, he was busy with his activities and he didn't want to help with booking table in a restaurant, but we got a prepared leaflet from him with information on recommended restaurants in the area. However, the information was in French and it turned out that most of the restaurants were closed that day and in several places the understanding of English over the phone was poor. With the help of the administrator, at least those places that were closed on that day could have been excluded from this list, or the information would have been printed in English. There is no refrigerator or minibar in the room. Sometimes you could hear what was going on in the next room too well, especially everything that was happening in the bathroom (even just splashing water). The sun loungers are already starting to fall apart and the board around the pool is quite old - it springs and rattles under the foot of a heavier person. Two different navigation programs do not know the location of this place, only Google Map found it, so do the preliminary work with the exact location of the hotel in advance, so as not to worry unnecessarily on the road (where there may be no internet). When you turn off the main road, there is a sign with a sign for the hotel, but for some reason you don't notice it well. The mobile internet was very weak there, the hotel's own Wi-Fi was OK in the house, but there was no coverage by the pool. There is no catering apart from breakfast. Breakfast is baguette, croissant, fruit, unflavoured yogurt and jam. The coffee is served in a press pot, which is of course much better than instant coffee, but it is still short of proper machine coffee, and for those who are used to drinking cappuccino in the morning, its absence is disappointing. Apparently, according to the French standard, the choice of breakfast is OK, but in the north we are brought up with the knowledge that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and we don't eat sweets for breakfast. Le camere sono di dimensioni adeguate, letto king size con scrivania e una zona salotto molto bella. Bel mix di mobili antichi e moderni. I bagni sono nuovi e anch'essi di buone dimensioni con ampia doccia e vasca. Avevamo una camera al terzo piano sul retro dell'hotel con vista sul giardino e sulla piscina con vista sullo Chateau Royal Amboise. Eccellente servizio di pulizia al mattino. Una meravigliosa colazione a buffet viene servita a 17,50 Eu a persona, ma puoi facilmente passeggiare in città e mangiare in uno dei meravigliosi caffè che di solito aprono intorno alle 9:00. Sylvie, il direttore è stato meraviglioso e ha soddisfatto tutte le nostre esigenze. se vieni con la tua macchina, il parcheggio è un po' complicato. Ci sono lotti e spazi pubblici in tutta la città, ma devi trovare un posto da solo. Non c'è un vero parcheggio fuori strada per l'hotel stesso. Abbiamo soggiornato per cinque giorni e ci tornerei. Alcune stanze sono un po' più piccole. Quando prenoti assicurati di chiedere la dimensione della stanza. Sono prezzi di conseguenza.

Wow. Excellent hotel. Les chambres sont belles, lits confortables. Certaines chambres ont un bain, et elles sont munies d'un coffret de sureté. Il est très bien situé à quelques minutes en voiture du centre d'Amboise. Le personnel est toujours prêt à vous aider. Le buffet est varié et très bon. Le stationnement est grand et a beaucoup de place et l'entrée est fermé par un grillage la nuit.

Mi spiace comunicare che la realtà è ben diversa da quanto dichiarato sul sito, abbiamo soggiornato in una camera familiare al terzo piano, siamo arrivati alle 18 e la camera non era pronta, appena entrati abbiamo trovato macchie sulle poltrone, molte ragnatele e ragni sia in camera che in bagno che sulle travi, il rubinetto nella vasca era mancante per fare la doccia e l’acqua fuori usciva sul pavimento. Il coperchio del Water era rotto, c’erano solo tre asciugamani grandi e mancavano gli asciugamani da viso, li abbiamo richiesti e ci sono stati consegnati solo la sera successiva, con qualche buco. Location trasandata, nella piscina manca una doccia ma soprattutto la piscina aveva l’acqua di colore verde torbido e non azzurra come nelle foto ed anche altri ospiti non se la sono sentita di utilizzarla. Manca il telefono in camera per poter contattare la reception che comunque di notte non è disponibile. Abbiamo soggiornato due notti, durante il primo giorno abbiamo utilizzato i bicchieri e una tazza per il tè oltre a una bottiglia d’acqua disponibile in frigo, il giorno dopo abbiamo ritrovato la tazza sporca e i bicchieri sporchi e non erano stati sostituiti, lasciato tutto come la sera precedente. Bicchieri sporchi nel frigo bar. Purtroppo per la cifra elevata che abbiamo pagato ci saremmo aspettati un servizio migliore. Al momento del check out erano state segnate quattro colazioni che non avevamo mai consumato ed una cifra diversa da quanto concordato, più alta, per fortuna avevamo la mail di conferma avendo prenotato tramite il sito. Mi spiace molto dover fare questa recensione ma il servizio al cliente è fondamentale ed è giusto che i servizi siano all’altezza del prezzo pagato.

A lovely hotel and very clean. Ideal for a stop over to visit Chenonceaux castle. Disappointing dinner, had to wait for our food for one and a half hours. Clients arriving after us were served before us. When we told the waitress she did not know what to reply. Food nothing special.

Il viaggio è stato assolutamente fantastico. Da personale alle camere, tutto era eccellente. Il personale era così amichevole (e tutti parlavano inglese, che era un enorme plus) e si è allontanato dal loro cammino per assicurarsi che ci fosse cura. Il bagno era il cielo dopo un lungo volo di 8 ore. Ci sono un enorme jacuzzi, doccia sensoriale (doccia pioggia che ha impostato musica, temperament e scent che va con ogni tema) e una stanza a vapore. Il massaggio è stato il migliore che abbia mai avuto e ho viaggiato in tutto il mondo per visitare i spa. L'hotel stesso è solo stupendo e non volevamo mai andare. Non c'era un dettaglio da risparmiare quando hanno ristrutturato l'hotel. Noi noleggiamo una macchina e guidammo da CDG e passammo 4 giorni a visitare i più belli palazzi e vinierie. Il palazzo era sempre così bello da tornare e ci mangiamo la cena ogni notte. Il servizio di colazione è anche un must!
