Alvor: i migliori hotel a 5 stelle

The owners have spent money on the hotel to improve the look and appeal, although despite this there are several things that let it down. We booked a Superior sea-view room and on arrival (our room was not ready as we were early) we were informed that, our room would be on the second floor. We were then placed on the fourth floor and were assured that it was a Superior Sea-view room. The room was tastefully decorated, but a little tired with a partial sea-view - large tree obscuring the sea and with a small bathroom. First night; beds and pillows very uncomfortable, needless to say we didn’t have any good nights sleep for the week we were there (requested pillow exchanges which didn’t help). The room was very hot, twice we reported that the AC wasn’t cooling and asked for a fan which didn’t appear. Housekeeping didn’t refill the fridge with water, nor replenish teas/coffee’s. We asked several times for more water and wondered if they were chargeable? On checking with reception, we were assured they were complimentary - after this our fridge was restocked everyday. Bathroom exchange bidet and face clothes -took them away and didn’t leave replacements). With all our negatives, the location was perfect and staff where friendly.

A fabulous resort. Accommodation modern, clean and with all facilities required. Staff were very friendly, helpful and willing to do anything possible to make our stay a very positive experience. Restaurants offered a great selection of foods. Gluten free options were usually available as part of the main offering but staff were more than happy to provide a gluten free alternative if needed. Special thanks to Mohammad (front of house) and the chefs, especially Sophia, at Essenze Restaurant. Also to Rafael for his great welcome and chat.

Hotel realizzato nel 1966 e presenta palesemente tutti i suoi anni Rinomato in quanto presente campo da golf, piscina e diversi campi tennis Spreco di spazi al piano reception e servizio precario come bar Chiediamo da bere a banco e ci rispondono dopo dieci minuti che ci servono solo se ci sediamo Camere datate, parzialmente ristrutturate ma comunque piccole ed essenziali Frigo bar vuoto Buon assortimento sia cena a buffet che a colazione

If you are looking at this hotel then make sure you book it, you will not be disappointed. We arrived, went to our rooms and were very impressed how modern, clean, and well-presented they were. The views at the front of the hotel are stunning, looking over the amazing Alvor and the sunsets are breathtaking. The staff are unbelievable, we had a small issue that was resolved immediately, and the manager could not do enough to help. We had two big birthdays to celebrate whilst we were there which the management also made very special. You get everything you need whenever you need it at the bar in reception, the pool bar is spot on, and the pool is lovely with brand new sun loungers for everyone. The breakfast room is great with lots of windows and light, plenty of good quality food to cater for all. The staff at breakfast and at the pool are really friendly. A big shout for Kateryna she was great. You are only a few short steps away from lots of narrow winding streets with beautiful shops, restaurants, and bars so the location is prefect. Alvor is amazing and so is this hotel, like I said at the beginning make sure you book it, and the staff will make sure you have a fantastic stay.

Hotel di livello buono, a due passi dal mare. Nel complesso esperienza positiva. Tenete presente che: - anche se avete la mezza pensione le bevande sono escluse e care. Al momento della prenotazione questo non era chiaro. Essendo il prezzo 300 euro al giorno a camera non me l aspettavo Anche il caffè non è incluso nella cena e al bar costa 2.75 euro. - aspettatevi anche 15 minuti di coda per entrare nella sala dove fare colazione se pensate di farla con calma alle 9 - varietà di cibi per cena, qualità cosi cosi - non avete nulla compreso in spiaggia. Potete andare nella spiaggia libera o pagare 18 euro al giorno per ombrellone e due sdrai - mancano rampe per scendere alcune scale, non il massimo se avete un passeggino - il centro città dista 15 minuti a piedi, nei dintorni non c è nulla - la pulizia delle camere puo essere effettuata fino alle 17 quindi se tornate in camera all ora nelle ore centrali aspettatevi di trovarla come l avete lasciata

I would love to give this place a poor review to put people off going so I could keep it for myself but that would be doing the staff a real disservice. I can't fault this place at all- the place was spotless inside and out and the rooms were well equipped with fridge ,safe and air conditioning and lovely hot showers. The breakfast had something for everyone and changed each day. The staff are the real star of the show though and nothing is too much trouble. We mentioned we were looking for worry beads and the next thing we knew one of the waitresses at breakfast went across the street and brought back a selection for us to choose from and purchase from the shop opposite. Special mention to Ioanna who was so friendly and up for a laugh she really made our holiday. Great Central location but quiet with a lovely small pool and pool area. Can't wait to come back!

Questa è la nostra seconda permanenza a The Pelican, che ha molto da fare, ma un paio di questioni minori. La posizione era grande per noi, a 15 minuti a piedi da Alvor, a 10 minuti dal supermercato di Pingo e a 5 minuti da The Jolly (un pub che abbiamo fatto noi stessi e conosciuto il proprietario dall'anno scorso). Il personale della reception e del bar a Pelican erano eccellenti e molto amichevoli. La stanza era la stessa dell'anno scorso e una grande dimensione, una TV che si può girare intorno a guardare in letto e una piccola cucina eccellente con tutto quello che ci serve. Il pavimento non era mosso e i nostri piedi erano infilati (che poi vengono trasferiti nel letto) o, nel mio caso, avevano calzini bianchi che erano neri sotto. La mancanza di cura generale era vergognosa, poiché le principali aree dell'hotel erano sempre pulite, e anche il nostro cabina sotto il bacino non era stato vuoto almeno tre volte e abbiamo dovuto lasciare il sacchetto di gomma per assicurarsi che fosse preso. L'hotel dispone di Wi-Fi e i nostri telefoni sono stati disabili. La zona di piscina è piuttosto buona ma poteva fare con un po' di TLC, troppo spesso abbiamo lottato per ottenere un salone mentre altri erano ”riservati” da persone che non sono mai tornate per 2-3 ore. Un paio di altri saloni non si sbagliano o controlleranno regolarmente per rimuovere le tute quando i saloni non sono usati per lunghi periodi. Sicuramente ritorneremo se il livello di pulizia migliora, perché questo è un ottimo hotel con sacchetti di personale potenziale e amichevole.
