Hotel in zona Church of Misericordia of Alvor, Alvor

This was our 5th time staying at the AlvorMar, we normally travel as a couple but on this occassion our family of 5 travelled. The apartment was a 2 bedroom is was very spacious loads of room, beds where comfy, balcony huge, cooking facilities if required, fresh towels, bedlinen spotless, apartment cleaned every day except Sunday. We have stayed previous in the premium 1 bedroom we are exceptional also. The pool is fantastic with a great pool bar serving food and drink and roof terrace is perfect for great sea views and relaxing. Having travelled to Alvor on many occcasions without doubt the AlvorMar is the best place to stay. It is minutes to the gorgeous beach and seconds to the town. The staff are very friendly and helpful and its just the perfect location. Thank you AlvorMar for another great stay, we will be back in July.

Abbiamo soggiornato presso l'Hotel Alvor Atlantico per quasi tre settimane e ci consigliere. Siamo stati al 7° piano e la vista era assolutamente bella, potevamo vedere tutta la spiaggia dalla spiaggia al ristorante Atlantida fino alla fine. L'hotel stesso era molto tranquillo, non c'è bar, c'è una piscina interna, che non abbiamo usato e era anche molto pulito. Lo studio era ben attrezzato con un cuoco a 2 anelli, frigo e piastre e cucina, abbiamo avuto un problema con il cuoco e la caldaia che era stato ordinato per noi, nessun problema. Abbiamo avuto un giorno piovoso quando non ci piaceva andare a Alvor, si può prenotare cena (o colazione) all'Hotel Dom Joao, che abbiamo fatto per una notte, a soli 5 minuti a piedi. Era stile buffet ma era molto buono. È a 20 minuti di cammino verso il porto o centro di Alvor sulla passeggiata che è stato un bel modo di iniziare la sera. I letti erano comodi, un po' duri per il mio piacere personale, la doccia era buona con molta pressione, quindi tutti si consigliavano.

We’ve just returned from a week at Tivoli, Alvor, the weather has been amazing, we didn’t see a cloud all week, unfortunately the hotel really didn’t meet our expectations. There are so many areas across the hotel that could be improved, that really would have changed our experience. Firstly the pool areas, there aren’t enough sunbeds for guests. The sunbeds they do have are all pushed together, with no space between you and the next family. Getting a sunbed was also another issue, people were out reserving sunbeds first thing and we saw towels out all day without anyone return. Due to the number of guests in the hotel, on occasions towels had ran out by early afternoon. It’s not something we really expected from a 5* hotel. It’s been mentioned in other reviews, but expect to queue, I understand it’s August, but there clearly weren’t enough staff to cope with the number of guests. We queued for drinks, breakfast, lunch, dinner, booking restaurants, the BBQ…the list goes on. They often ran out of cutlery, glasses and plates. We did really feel for the staff, who were obviously under pressure, but I would say while we came across some lovely friendly staff members, we also encountered lots of staff who were unhelpful and quite rude. The food was average, pretty hit and miss, it did get quite repetitive. The Mexican night was our favourite, but only one chef serving the amount of guests, We did really love the train to Alvor and the beach was amazing. The room was cleaned daily, but was quite small for the 4 of us. For the price we paid for the holiday, we were really disappointed.

Molto pulito, spazioso in una grande posizione, il colazione era buono, sarebbe bello se ci fossero altre opzioni.

Una veramente grande esperienza!! La camera era comoda e la manutenzione casa eccellente. Ben posizionata con vista sulla Marina. L'accento di ogni mattina del mio 5 notti soggiorno è stato il colazione. Fantastica scelta e tutto bene cotto e presentato. Il personale, in particolare i formatori, erano sempre amichevoli e obbligatori. Non potevo fare nulla di male sul colazione. La situazione dell'hotel era ideale per me, ma forse non poteva essere adatta a tutti come si trovava fuori dalla città. La spiaggia era ben accanto all'hotel e anche fuori stagione c'erano diversi ristoranti vicino a lui. Tutti i membri del personale, i receptionisti, il personale del ristorante e il mantenimento della casa erano eccellenti, mi hanno sempre salutato con un sorriso e molto utile.

I would use one word to describe this hotel -Paradise. We came as guests and the staff treated us so well, we left as friends. We had our wedding at the Bricia Du Mar and it was prefect. The location for a wedding is what we dreamed of. The hotel is low rise and like a little village with beautiful rooms and a stunning pool area. There is a fantastic gym and spa also. What Raquel, Pedro and everyone else did to help us was above and beyond what you would expect from a hotel. They say they are not wedding planners but what they did to help us arrange our wedding was incredible. This a family run hotel and you can see the care and attention they have to make the hotel a success as it is quite new. Everything is spotlessly clean and such a calming wonderful environment. Our wedding went without a hitch and the attention to detail was incredible. All the staff at our wedding were genuinely happy to be there from the chefs to the bar staff and waiters who couldn’t do enough for us. The hotel even offered serene spaces for parents to relax while keeping an eye on their little ones, striking the perfect balance between tranquility and family-friendly amenities. Furthermore, the attentive and friendly staff added to the overall sense of relaxation. They were always on hand to offer assistance or provide recommendations, and their warm and genuine hospitality made us feel like valued guests. Beyond the hotel itself, the surrounding area offered plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and exploration. We took advantage of the hotel's proximity to nature, embarking on leisurely walks and hikes that allowed us to connect with the peaceful surroundings. It was the ideal way to escape the hustle and bustle of the work world and reconnect with nature.

Siamo stati in questo hotel una settimana ad agosto con camera fronte piscina e devo dire che siamo stati benissimo! posto molto silenzioso (mai dormito così bene) e molto bello, a 10 minuti a piedi dalla cittadina di Luz e dalla sua spiaggia, a 15 minuti di taxi da Lagos; personale disponibilissimo per ogni esigenza! un particolare ringraziamento va al signore delle colazioni, simpaticissimo e bravissimo! Complimenti!!

Staff 5* Comida era otima e com bastante variedade. Quartos eram grandes, com todas as comodidades. Os colchoes a unica coisa que mudava. Era notória a prioridade á limpeza tanto aos quartos como a todo o hotel sempre tudo limpo e arrumado mesmo com muitos hóspedes , estao de parabens. Spa (custo 25 euros por pessoa mas dos melhores que ja usei) . Piscina da cascata muito boa. Piscina coberta muito boa tambem mas a precisar de alguma manutençao na cobertura. O kids club é fantastico com staff maravilhoso em especial a Sandra que fez, com que as minhas crianças nao quisessem sair de lá. Parabens a toda a equipa Vou voltar sem duvida brevemente.
