Receptie service slecht. Voor derest waren 2 kleine dekbedden op een kingsize bed, waar boek je dan een kingsize bed voor ?

入住時半夜,整個酒店陰森莊重,古堡式裝修風格。 設施:完善,無拖鞋牙刷,其他俱全。 衞生:很棒。 環境:位置較偏僻,但是足夠安靜。 服務:房卡兩次無效。剛到就拖着行李跑前台跑了兩趟。

In this hotel it seems to be normal that the shower drain doesn't work. We made it clear the evening of our stay and they didn't fix it. They offered a room with less facilities for the same price. Now, afterwards, they claim that they have offered an upgrade. All we were offered is 2 soda's. After a full complaint they offered a €25,- coupon, less than 10% of our booking price!

The booked room was supposed to be available in the early afternoon, but unfortunately this was not the case, as they had not yet made up the beds. We had to wait a total of one and a half hours in the reception hall until we could go to the room. The time we had to spend waiting for the room to be made available was sweetened with complimentary cappuccinos. The accommodations were very spacious and had a large bathroom with a double rain shower, a bathtub, and double sink vanities, though one had a clogged drain. The toilet was in a separate small room. It was nice to have two separate bedrooms, as this was a family accommodation. In one place the wallpaper had visibly come off the wall and in another place the cladding on the headboard of the bed was slightly damaged. Furthermore, the remote control of the TV was so dirty that we did not use it. All these problems could have been fixed by the room service before handing over the room to the guests. It was not easy to find a free parking space in the parking lot in front of the hotel, as this hotel is a popular conference hotel. There were several events held there, so the parking spaces were quite filled by the company employees who attended. The evening meal in the hotel restaurant was excellent, as you can read in my separate review. The breakfast buffet was also very good. The selection of cold and hot dishes was impressive and one wished that there was such a good choice elsewhere. It was very positive that after mentioning the above shortcomings, an apology was made for the inconveniences and a price reduction of about 13% was subsequently refunded. It can be assumed that in the current situation, this hotel also has staffing problems, like everywhere else in Europe, and that in normal times no problems would have occurred.

Our ‘wellness suite’ (at 265 euro) was supposed to be a nice start for our date-night. The room-size and the wellness items (sauna,steambath and jacuzzi) are great! But since this hotel was in ‘full overhaul’ (putting additional floor just above our floor) the balcony was in full chaos (see video). Also we found some ‘strange mould/spots’ on our duvet. Asking for some kind of compensation at the front desk was answered with; ‘you can take 2 sodas’. Very disappointed

We did not like this hotel. Terrible. For a short break, we wanted to explore the newest big city in The Netherlands (and Almere is different – recommended for an alternative city trip). Organisation and staff were not up to the required level, and finally the hotel is not that cheap. Many small points went wrong in our opinion. The hotel sent an email to check-in on line and to avoid waiting at reception. We did a longish procedure at home with scanning of ID card, face recognition and yes: we got a screen with all ID data telling that everything was OK to just pick up the key. Arriving at the hotel, the two receptionists were busy on the telephone, and when finishing one gave priority to a conversation with a colleague without saying anything. And then the whole check in went as before because the data “did not come through”. As if this was our mistake ….. In the e mail confirmation the hotel mentioned a welcome drink. Nobody informed us, we had to ask for it. Apparently it is only automatic if you install the app. Most of all, our concern was the dirtiness of the room, and the whole hotel did not give a fresh image. A pity, because it is a very nice new building from the outside. At departure the receptionist said we should have told that upon arrival to remedy it. Well, where would the cleaning and refurbishment team have started? The carpet on the public stairs up one half level is worn, in the corridor seemed to be a water (or other liquid) leak. A dirt pot was put in the corridor. Room service plates from the previous day were in front of several rooms. At our room, the plate with food and drink remaining of the previous guests remained before the door until we left the next day (!). Inside the room, the smell was unfresh. A long black hair (could not be ours) was in the sink. The carpet was not fresh. Apparently the normal fridge was broken in our room. They had put a second one on the ground, they had not made the effort to replace it. The “new” fridge was put just before one of the seats; it became almost unusable because of the position of the replacement fridge. The window/door to the terrace was not cleaned for a loooooong time. On the terrace itself were many (!) bird droppings, including on the chair we had to sit on ……. We even did not put one foot on the dirt ground of the terrace. And this could continue ………… Never again, that is for sure.

First of all let me tell you that we booked 4 nights in a Topsuite.Fotos are really amazing and look quite new BUT do not trust the fotos.They do not reflect the reality of this Van der Valk hotel.Location to visit the Floriade as well as the check-in were ok. Parking is free.When entering our Topsuite we immediately realized that an empty cup of coffee was still on the floor in front of our door.You can see several trays with the rest of room service food in front of many doors during the whole day....nobody cares.(see fotos)The suite was so dirty in corners,next to walls,or inside shower !You could even write your name inthe dust INSIDE ALL wardroabs and cabinets.Worst of all was the Nespressomachine(please see fotos!!)Frames,TV as well as all other details haven't been cleaned since days....You got a rainforestshower as well as a handshower,BUT the last one did not function.Impossible to get your shampoo out of your hair! We went down to reception to clarify with the manager.We were told that she was out of office at that time but they could reclean?! the suite if we want. Referring to the shower we were told that they would check...As we asked to change the suite we were told that there was no availability at that time.Ok! May be everything would be arranged the other day....As we returned back in the late morning on the following day NOTHING DID CHANGE!No shower,the room was made but still dirty and the cup of coffee still in front of the door.... Let me tell you guys that in this hotel they don't put Kleenexpapers near the sinks!you have to use toiletpaper if you are missing your Kleenex.. For dinner you will meet a very unprofessional service(so lived on OUR table),may be other guests get a better one. For breakfast we noticed that ALL white yoghurts did pass there Expiry dates!!We told the staff about the fact and they took all away.Nobody seems to control expiry dates when putting food on the buffet.We did show the yoghurt pot at the reception and everybody was "really" sorry about that fact and promised us to tell the manager.... As on second day in the evening no message came from the general manger about our complaints,I once again went to reception and finally met the manager.She told me that she heard about our "Problems" and that she would understand our frustration....nothing constructive from her side."the suites have to be clean dear guest?"...Ok we agree..BUT?As we didn't want to spoil our holidays in this famous hotel we CHECKED OUT after the first night and leaved this VAN DER VALK hotel in the evening.

Afgelopen maanden meerdere keren 2 of 3 nachten verbleven. Het was nooit helemaal goed. Key card die niet werkte, bij inchecken toch legitimatiebewijs moeten laten zien terwijl ik online had ingecheckt, vieze kamer, geen afstandsbediening, baliepersoneel wat kortaf/geïrriteerd reageert en laaste keer lag er nog vieze was op het balkon (zelfs na twee keer melden lag het er na 3 dagen nog). Ontbijtbuffet heeft geen warme groente (geen tommat of gebakken champignons oid). Scrumbled eggs smaken naar niks....een smaakloze smurrie. Enigste pluspunt is het restaurant. Vlotte bediening.

Allereerst was het eten niet op de juiste temperatuur en bovendien erg smakeloos, wat erg teleurstellend was voor zo’n speciale gelegenheid. Als 1 persoon ging klagen dan snap ik het maar letterlijk iedereen klaagde over het eten. Ik heb zoveel bruiloften meegemaakt in Van der Valk maar dit is de slechte die ik ooit heb meegemaakt Daarnaast werkte de verwarming niet, waardoor het oncomfortabel koud was in de ruimte, we moesten gewoon ons jas aandoen zo koud was het We hadden cupcakes meegenomen die samen met de taart naar binnen gebracht moesten worden maar die cupcakes hebben wij nooit op tafel gezien. En laten we het niet hebben over de manier waarop de taart gebracht werd…… wij moesten zelf de tafel richting de bruidspaar brengen. Managers moeilijk te vinden….. Dit alles heeft de feestvreugde aanzienlijk beïnvloed.JONGENS ALS JULLIE GAAN TROUWEN AUB NIET IN VAN DER VALK ALMERE.

Super leuk nachtje weg gehad met vriendengroep. Heerlijk gegeten en gezwommen, hele leuke bediening in de bar en het restaurant en receptie heeft ons ook goed geholpen. Komen zeker terug met mooi weer omdat je erg goed kunt fietsen in Almere!
