Subject: Excellent Location, but Overpriced and Outdated Rooms I stayed at Hotel Kazakhstan in Almaty for more than 10 days, drawn initially by its prime location. The hotel’s location is indeed its biggest strength—bang on the main road with excellent accessibility to various parts of the city, making it convenient for travelers. The property itself is a heritage hotel, and while it has its charm, the overall experience was mixed. The hotel is quite old, though the upkeep and concierge services were commendable. However, the parking facility was a major issue. During snowfall, it became extremely messy, and entering the hotel was quite challenging. Regarding the rooms, my experience varied throughout the stay: • The initial superior room booked online was decent, offering good space and facilities. • The “supreme premium superior” room I opted for later was disappointing—it was smaller, with a worse layout and fewer amenities than the superior room, which was surprising and frustrating. • For the last three days, I upgraded to a junior suite. While it offered more space, the layout and overall upkeep of the room felt outdated, leaving much to be desired. A consistent issue across all three rooms was the drainage system in the washrooms, which was poorly maintained and created unnecessary inconvenience. The breakfast provided as part of the stay had a wide selection and was good. However, the menu did not change for all nine days, which became monotonous for a longer stay. Room dining, though available, could be significantly improved in terms of quality and variety. Overall, while the location of Hotel Kazakhstan is unbeatable and perfect for those who want to stay in the heart of the city, the property feels overpriced given the outdated facilities and lack of variety in services. I would only recommend it to travelers with a good budget who prioritize location and heritage charm over modern amenities.

Ambiente: c'è un fiume accanto, in generale, può anche Salute: più pulita, ma la pulizia è troppo lenta.La mattina, ho preso la targa della pulizia, e sono tornato dopo la sera per la pulizia Infrastrutture: WiFi è troppo cattivo. Molte camere non hanno segnali WiFi. Cambiati diversi camere, c'è ancora un segnale. Servizio: il piccolo fratello della reception ha sempre caduto il volto, non so chi lo mostri.Sono arrivato all'hotel la notte, volevo riposare presto, e non c'è WiFi.Lasciate che l'aiuto cambi la stanza, dite che aspettate cinque minuti, aspettate dodici minuti, non ho reagito, mi sono arrabbiato per cambiare la faccia, e poi ho cambiato una stanza che non ha ancora segnali. Il mattino dopo, ho cambiato una cameriera più amichevole per aiutare a cambiare la stanza del segnale buono

L'ambiente è molto bello e bello L'unico difetto è anche il più grande difetto del letto. Il letto è troppo vecchio, l'intera trappola si è incastrata, è ancora insidioso, e il sonno è molto incomodo La ricezione ha detto che ogni stanza è la stessa 🤷🏼♀️

La posizione è molto buona, molto alta, anche se un po'vecchia, ma se vengo a viaggiare a Almatu, non c'è scelta!

L'hotel è stato costruito con stile, ma molto tempo fa! L'hotel è piuttosto vecchio e necessita di ristrutturazione!!!

Very small room actually.Looks definitely less then 25 m2 And the real size of the QUEEN BED IS LESS THEN 1.8m and it was 1.5.The bad was uncomfortable and the linen was not soft. Every day we need to ask 1 more overall for bathroom cuz everyday we has only one in my room.And the same story with teeth brush.The room was booked for 2 by the way. Staff is actually good and pleasant! The main disadvantage is SMALL BED and small room-very tine for two people (we are about 170 cm tall). The breakfast is nice. Actually this hotel is overpriced for that kind of room provided

There are some food outlets near the hotel. On the left of the hotel, there is a metro station that can connect one to many parts of the city. If you want to get to the hotel from the Almaty International Airport, try to make prior transport arrangements with the hotel for a fair rate. Alternatively, get only taxi service provided by the counter that quotes 7000 Tonge . Avoid the taxi counter named Turan, which is at the main airport exit if you don't want to be scammed. It can show you 20,000 Tonge upon arrival.
