Spark by Hilton Albuquerque North I-25

Very nice hotel, we were given one of the Sandia Suites on the 3rd floor. Sitting room with desk, TV, sofa and fridge, microwave. Bathroom separating the sitting room from the bedroom with a nice king sized bed and a balcony with not much of a view (although we did see a hot air balloon from the balcony on Sunday morning!). Clean, comfortable, and affordable, plenty of hot water, nice towels, etc.. It seemed very quiet although the hotel must have had lots of guests (based on the parking lot). We didn't notice any traffic noise, but our room was towards the back of the hotel, away from the freeway. Hotel staff were friendly and professional. Complimentary breakfast was good, with bread items (bread, muffins, Danish and bagels), a make-your-own waffle, fresh scrambled eggs (with a dish of salsa to spice them up!) and bacon one day and sausage the next, good coffee. The hotel has kind of an odd entrance to it, we actually passed it and had to backtrack to it off the main road. I think our only issue with our stay was several after-midnight phone calls the first night, apparently from some child that must have been staying in the hotel. I called the front desk and the kind lady who answered said she'd put us on "do not disturb" but that the calls weren't coming in from the outside. I ended up unplugging the phone from the wall, just in case, then spent a couple of hours trying to fall back asleep. I could hear a phone ringing in another room (next door?), so we weren't the only victims to the child's pranks.

I've stayed at several hotels in the Albuquerque area over the years, visiting 2-3 times per year. I tried this hotel due to the convenient location in North Albuquerque and because it is a Best Western Plus property - I've had good experiences with those. The king suite is spacious with a "large" mini-refrigerator that has a freezer compartment; this allowed me to refreeze my freezer packs and hold my meals that I had packed for the next couple of days. The separate living area is nice - sofa, TV, desk and chair - with a solid door between it and the bedroom to keep down the noise. The bedroom has a separate TV. The door to the suite opens to an interior hallway, which also reduces noise and heat. The lavatory is in the bedroom, so it can be used even when the shower or toilet are being used. Everything in the room was clean and in working order. I didn't try the pool or hot tub, but it looked nice. Will give it a go next visit and have the niece and nephew give it a review. The full breakfast was nice. Friendly staff. Planning to stay here again.

My sister and I stop Jan 10, 2025. This was a hotel we had used in the past be it was Hilton. What a disappointment this stay was. First the bathroom door to room 223 would not stay shut even when locked. I thought I just had not shut it tight the first time , then my sister had the same problem. There was an ice bucket in the room but no glasses or cups to get a drink of water. Went down to desk they gave me a coffee cup to use. Went to find ice, and no ice machine where the sign says it is. Went to use wi-fi could not sign in. Contacted front desk said they would look at it an call us back. Over an hour later called back with a new sign in password still did not work, just gave up at that point. Next morning went to have breakfast at 8:30 any there was nothing, and I do mean nothing. No coffee, juice, water or food. Was told to wait just a few minutes and they would refill things. We gave up after 30 minutes and the only thing they brought out was a few bagels, still no coffee. Went upstairs packed our bags took them to the car return to find still just the bagels and nothing else. By this time several more people were waiting to get coffee or juice. What a joke, we gave up and went to I Hop down the street. Only good thing was the beds were comfy. We will definitely be finding a new hotel on our way back to Colorado.

Upon arrival the main lobby doors were shut due to renovations. There was a scrawled note pointing to a side door, which necessitated a long walk to reception. The check in agent didn’t seem at all apologetic about the upheaval. When we got to the room there was a musty smell and none of the bathroom toiletries worked, instead just 2 small bottles left. At breakfast the next day both the coffee and juice machines were not working. To be fair the lady doing breakfast seemed embarrassed by this. At checkout, again unapologetic and gave the excuse that they hadn’t received bathroom supplies or had the breakfast machines fixed! He commented that the renovations would last well into December. I complained both in writing and by phone. The agent I spoke to when questioned why I was not told about the renovations when I booked by phone, replied “If the hotel doesn’t tell us, then we are also unaware!!” I received a standard answer from the hotel, meaning nothing. I again spoke to customer service? They were unwilling to refund anything, saying it was solely down to the hotel! As mentioned by others the hotel staff simply don’t care and customer service is ineffective. Probably the worst hotel I have stayed at! Fortunately there are other brands that actually care and value their customers.

This Suite has become a run-down hotel. Tub did not drain. told use the same towels for the pool for your showers. bed was stained. faucet leaked. breakfast was not avaliable when guest and other guest arrived. lot of noise due to machinery working outside.

Nothing outstanding or exceptional. Front desk staff could be a lot more welcoming at check-in and should acknowledge guests at checkout. Didn’t feel respected/appreciated for being guests (& we are BW Rewards members). Room was clean and comfortable. Internet was okay. Breakfast was typical but they did have a nice selection of bagels. They used small paper plates (dessert sized) instead of regular sized/dinner paper plates. Breakfast hostess was friendly & welcoming but neither of the male front desk clerks at check-in or at checkout were friendly.
