One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. First of all, reception was closed for us arriving at 17:30pm and took 45 minutes for someone to notice us. Never checked us in and gave us two rooms, although we paid for 3. Rooms were like something from the 80s and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. There were holes in the walls, taps hanging off the wall, lights not working, air con not working. Dirt/mould/grime on the walls, floors etc. Fridges were also disgusting. Door handles hanging off also. Good location but that’s all I can say, would definitely not recommend.

Arrived last night around 10pm nobody at reception just a fone number rang it to be greated by a rude receptionist. So went out with friends to come back to the room had been broke into. Passports wallets and full suitcase of clothes took! This needs to be knocked down ASAP!

DERELICT AND HAS BEEN CLOSED FOR MOTHS ALBEIT STILL BEING SOLD THROUGH ***********. MANAGED TO FIND ALTERNATIVE OVER B.J.’S BAR NEAR BEACH. PLEASE BEWARE. WE WERE LUCKY AS ARRIVED IN THE DAYTIME SO HAD TIME TO REACT

Arrived at the dubious looking hotel, hoping for the best. Unfortunately, its looks lived up to our expectations. To be told the ridiculous rules by the rude receptionist, was a blast from 40 years ago, and not something a group of middle aged men were expecting. Fines for damage, only one key for five people. Fine if you lost the key. Classy. Then up to our room. It had the look of shabby chic Aleppo style. I'm sure it was the height of fashion and comfort circa 1972. Unfortunately, to say its not been updated is something of an understatement. Within five minutes, we had decided that it wasn't for us, as we don't really find prison style accommodation comfortable at our age. When we told the lady at reception we were leaving, she asked why, what have we done. We were only staying in Portugal for four days, and it would have taken that long to explain the shortcomings of the establishment. Save yourself time. Book somewhere else. Watch the first Inbetweeners movie, and this hotel is pretty close. I'm home now. But still having flashbacks. Thank you

Stayed here last week and was met by a very unhelpful older lady in reception. Eventually we emailed her our booking and she printed it off and was happy. I booked a safe which took some doing as 3 euros a day seemed the rate but when i asked for 6 days (18 euros) she didn't want to agree to it and tried to make me get 7 days instead. We settled for 20 euros for 7 days? We entered the staircase, so old, the lifts, tiny and very old doors which opened and led straight into the lift. We only used the lift once then never again. We opened the door to our room and we were devastated. An old 60/70's style tiled room. sofa bed with a pull out bed for 2 grown men! The toilet taps were all loose, shower the oldest i have ever seen. A bare room with a rail to hang clothes on where the safe was kept. A very old kitchen area and windows which were so dirty. I looked out of the window to the pool and was also devastated as it was looking old, dirty and not somewhere i would sit and sunbathe. Beds were made but not changed, and 2 towels provided every other day (1 small and 1 a little larger). The bar was not open in reception. Kept awake every night by the ***** and other guests, and the window provided no help when closed to dim the noise. The air con worked! I won't add as i did make the most of my holiday despite the apartment however i will never stay here again. :(

Stayed as two young groups for a week. Prior to arrival, we had requested that both rooms be as near enough to one another as possible, as the other group were all females. The hotel said this could be accommodated and that we would be on the same floor,. However upon arrival, the girls were on the 4th floor and we were on the 1st. This wasn’t a big issue and we got on with things. The accommodation itself, is dated, but good value for money. The location is excellent - 3 minutes walk from ***** and 2 from beach. Couldn’t be in a better location. The pool was good, and caught sun until about 5pm, which isn’t bad. Unfortunately there’s no bar open. This hotel is perfect for young groups/hens/stags, but I don’t think I’d recommend it for families, because it would be noisy in the early hours with people coming back from the *****. There was an incident on the 3rd night of our stay, which we felt wasn’t dealt with properly, which is the reason for the 3 stars. As a young group, we would have given 4 stars, but for the incident. All staff speak English, which is good. Cleaners dropped off towels every day, but only on the second last day, did they sweep and mop the floors. We had to get a brush and mop ourselves off them to use. Bed linen wasn’t changed during the week. Beds were adequate and we had a huge balcony. Apartment had everything from Cutlery to air conditioning. Had hot water most of the time as well, although the bath/ shower was a bit dated, with the paint starting to come off the base of the bath. In our apartment, one of the bedroom doors was scraping the floor when opened/closed, as it was off the top hinge, which was a disaster. On the last day, the door itself fell off the hinges, which we had to pay a small fee for. If you’re a young group, and aren’t really fussy about a dated apartment, then this hotel is adequate. Overall, good value for money.

You get what you pay for. It's very basic, the pool isn't great (sun goes off it about 3pm) and the rooms are a throwback to the 80s, but for what you pay, the location is great. Close to the ***** and the beach (both within a 5 minute walk), although be wary of the hill up to the ***** as it's steep! In all fairness, the room we had was huge. There were 4 of us but you could easily fit another two in there comfortably. The room itself was a bit worse for wear. The toilet was leaking water (nothing drastic but still not ideal), and the front door looked like it had at one time been booted off the hinges as it kept on rubbing the floor every time you closed it, and it felt very flimsy for an apartment entrance door (wouldn't take much power to kick it through). We were a group of lads in our twenties in Albufeira for a long weekend of partying and chilling out so we really weren't fussed as we were hardly spending time in the room. Fine for that kind of holiday, but I wouldn't say this would be a great place if you had a family or a couples break. It was quiet though!
