The resort it self has a lot of great potential however maintenance and a good scrub is required. the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and there was dirty, broken sink and toilet. Also electrical wiring for the ventilation system were hanging in the shower that could have cause a health and safety concern land even electrocution. Moreover the pillows were black with old and only realized this after 1 night of sleeping. Although the staff was friendly when i raised these issues they didn’t even offer any apologies of any sort and they brushed off my concerns. Also The spa was very dirty but offered a very good massage. Loads of great potential if the resort was maintained in a good condition. No wifi Pool water was merkey

The location is absolutely stunning—peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The food was definitely on the pricier side, but I have to say—it was absolutely worth it. We had truly rejuvenating experience at the Ayurvedic Spa. The staffs were professional, warm, and attentive to our needs. The only area that could use some improvement is the bund around the restaurant.

Excellent property , it's a Lakeside Resort with awesome view, cordial staff -mouthwatering food .Rooms are spacious as well as neat and clean. Very peaceful atmosphere, really like the place. Ideal place to enjoy with your family exclusively if you love the nature.

Nice stay .Property is on the backwaters. One hour boating available on payment. There is a good pool but there were no Towels readily available. Rooms were clean with fresh linen . Wardrobe in the room needs polishing or a change. The breakfast was nice .No live counters but were provided from inside on request. We had a la carte lunch and dinner which was also good. The staff in the restaurant were efficient and helpful ,however a smile will go the extra mile

If you want to truly experience a run down backwater resort this is it. The cleanliness in the rooms to the restaurant was thoroughly lacking. Very poor facilities in the rooms and the restaurant sited over a pool of stagnant water is just a flavour of what to expect.

Oh, where do I even begin with my exhilarating experience at Deshadan Backwater Resort? Let's start with the awe-inspiring ambiance, shall we? Picture this: stepping into the room felt like diving into a landfill. The aroma of musty rooms combined with the fragrance of neglected laundry truly made me feel at home... if home was a dumpster. And oh, the décor! straight from the 1980's, The cracked walls and stained ceilings were truly avant-garde, in a "we gave up on maintenance" kind of way. Let's talk about cleanliness. Or should I say, the lack thereof? If you're a fan of mysterious stains on your sheets, Cobwebs and critter companions scuttling across the floor, then congratulations. In conclusion, if you enjoy wallowing in despair and reveling in the decay of human civilization, Deshadan Backwater Resort is the perfect destination for you. Just don't forget your hazmat suit and a healthy dose of self-loathing. Cheers!

Average resort. Not maintanined public areas and rooms. Swimming pool with dirty water and debris floating around. Food is ok. Wherever you look you will see paint cans, tile pieces from unfinished constructions. Dont really recommend for any family who is on vacation. Can be opted for quick sleep and shower.

I thought I’d died and gone to heaven !!! What a beautiful tranquil place . The rooms are lovely and the pool is perfection - overlooking the lake. Great food and very helpful staff. It was an absolute joy to stay here - wish we’d had longer in such exquisite surroundings

A calm and peaceful stay at this beautiful backwater resort. You can view the sunrise at the backwaters from the resort. The rooms are neat and well maintained. Loved the food. The breakfast spread is not that elaborate but the taste is good. The resort has ample parking space if you are planning to take your own vehicle. The resort offers ayurvedic spa services. We tried it and it's really good. Overall a great stay and would definitely like to repeat it.
