Hotel Travancore Regency

Came to dine with family at a pretty quiet period. It took around 40 minutes for the food to arrive after the order was taking which was disappointing. We had also ordered lime juice and lassie which didn't arrive and when we asked they said they don't have it. Similarly we asked for vanilla ice cream, they said they only have butterscotch and pista, we said butterscotch. We were then bought pista as that's now all they had. Whilst I understand these things happen, it would be nice to be informed rather then us chasing repeatedly. Servers were kind, however please note that a few of them did not speak malayalam and hence the language barrier had affected the service. The food is lovely but it is a shame the service is yet to make the mark.

We stayed there for a week. Rooms are average and nothing fabulous. There was unpleasant smell e***ating from the washroom. Except that there was no issue with the stay. The other downside with this hotel is the local bar right Infront of the main gate and that gets crowded with hooligans and doesn't fit right with the so-called family hotel. The lounge bar within the hotel is the best in the town with modern seating and lighting. Overall, an average experience, would probably stay again if the local bar at the front gate is gone and the hotel ***agement sticks to the Lounge bar only.
