Stayed in Room 405, a Basic 3 Bed Triple Room. PROS: The hostel is a short walk to everything - the bus stop, the main plaza, restaurants, the artisan market, etc. The owner was flexible and let us pick our breakfast time each day. In fact, he opened up the restaurant below the hostel just to serve us breakfast, which consisted of two pieces of bread, jam and butter, orange juice, coffee and tea. He also offered to hold our bags after check-out. WiFi was strong in the room. CONS: It was strange that the owner did not have our booking number when we arrived. Luckily, we were carrying a paper copy of our reservation and the owner asked to make a copy of it. The room does not have any space to move or store belongings. You either leave stuff on the bed or put everything on the floor. One of the bed sheets had several blood stains on it when we arrived, but it was quickly replaced when requested. The door did not close unless it was slammed shut. The bathroom had mold along the walls. The shower had no hot water at one point, though the owner fixed the issue within two hours. Be careful walking up the tiled stairs - it gets slippery when it rains! The hostel is located across the street from El MaPi Hotel by Inkaterra, which played live music late into the night. The fact that the band repeated the same three songs over and over made it even more unbearable. The hostel itself is quiet because there were few guests, but the area around the hostel is noisy due to its central location.
