Meliti Hotel (Adults Only)

Abbiamo prenotato un soggiorno di 2 notti per la camera con piscina privata. Iniziamo con i pro che purtroppo sono meno dei contro. L'hotel (soprattutto la camera) è in una bella posizione, con vista sul mare. La piscina e il balcone sono molto grandi, con un piccolo patio esterno dove sedersi e godersi i propri drink e 2 lettini per godersi il sole. Purtroppo il tempo non ci ha aiutato (piovoso e ventoso) e non abbiamo potuto goderci questa parte della stanza. La piscina ha un filtro che rinnova l'acqua tutto il giorno, il che è buono, ma il risultato è acqua fredda se il tempo non aiuta. Il letto era molto accogliente e morbido. La camera aveva 2 condizioni d'aria che fornivano una temperatura piacevole. Hanno una colazione abbastanza buona, grande varietà, cose diverse ogni giorno. La maggior parte del personale era educato e gentile. Ora i contro. Consentitemi di affermare che purtroppo il tempo non era buono, quindi i piccoli dettagli negativi erano facilmente evidenti. Abbiamo fatto il check-in e siamo entrati nella nostra stanza da soli. Per un hotel a 4 stelle mi aspetterei almeno una panoramica della stanza e tutto incluso. La camera era pulita ma non pulita come ci si aspetterebbe per i soldi. Polvere in alcuni punti e il soffione della vasca e della doccia erano entrambi pieni di sale. La stanza ha una grande vasca da bagno nell'angolo della tua camera da letto che è un bel tocco ma non funzionava completamente. Mancava un pulsante con il quale si poteva scegliere da dove arriva l'acqua (rubinetto o soffione) e il soffione era rotto. Abbiamo chiamato la reception e sono venuti a cambiare il soffione ma non sono riusciti a riparare il pulsante, quindi abbiamo dovuto riempire la vasca da bagno tenendo il soffione per mezz'ora. Dopo la richiesta ci hanno dato un piccolo strumento per poter premere il pulsante ma che ha funzionato solo una volta (troppo grande non entrava nel foro), quindi non abbiamo riprovato. Fuori dal patio era carino ma il ponte del pavimento in legno non era pronto per la stagione estiva. Piccoli pezzi di legno che uscivano da ogni parte, con il risultato di calpestarli e "ferire" i piedi, dovevamo andare in giro con le infradito. La piscina sembrava fresca, non è stata utilizzata a causa del maltempo e dell'acqua fredda, MA era sporca quando siamo arrivati. Quindi hanno dovuto venire a pulirlo durante il nostro soggiorno. Il vantaggio: la camera ha servizi igienici e doccia separati, MA il meno è che anche il lavandino è fuori da entrambe queste stanze, come nella stanza principale. Il mini frigo era completamente vuoto ed è la prima volta che lo vedo in un hotel. Avevamo solo una bottiglietta d'acqua, fuori dal frigo, ad aspettarci. Abbiamo pagato 300 euro per un soggiorno di 2 notti. Purtroppo non ha un buon rapporto qualità-prezzo. Forse se il tempo fosse buono potremmo supervisionare questi dettagli, ma comunque un hotel a 4 stelle dovrebbe offrire un piacevole soggiorno in entrambi i casi. NESSUNO, tranne il simpaticissimo lavoratore che ci hanno inviato, ha detto di essere dispiaciuto per queste cattive condizioni della piscina, del soffione della doccia e del pulsante rotto (non riparato). Né l'hanno menzionato, né hanno offerto alcun rimborso, sconto o cena gratuita.

Cute hotel with great views in the breakfast area, and nice staff. Also, the view of the hill at the semi-private pools is beautiful. The cleaning was done thoroughly daily in our room. As a nice bonus, there is a cute cat that comes to join at breakfast time every other day.

We booked 3 nights at this hotel in a share pool with sea views. We arrived to be told there was a problem with our room and they were putting us in another room for the first night. We were put in a small room with the tiniest shower and bathroom I have ever seen. This was their basic room at considerably less cost than the room we had booked. No apology, no offer of compensation. When we complained loudly we were offered a free meal. We went to the restaurant that night and were given the menus. When they came to take our order I mentioned we had a free meal as compensation. They immediately gathered up our menus and said there was a problem. We were then handed the very basic half board menus. Once again we raised our voices and were given back the a la Carter’s menus. The next morning we waited and waited for our correct room to be available. We were told the cleaners on that floor didn’t start till 11am (even though they were around on other floors at 10am). We packed our bags and waited in reception and eventually were given the keys to our share pool room at 12.15pm. No offer of help with bags to relocate. This hotel is lacking in maintenance and cleaning standards are low. The staff are not particularly friendly and there are not many smiles. Fortunately our other hotels in Crete were a much more pleasant experience.

Not gear at all this year. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and we were really disappointed. Last year we stayed in the hotel for an entire week and we loved it and that is why we came back. However, this year the room was dirty, there were damages on the walls, the bath tub in the bedroom did not work properly and many more. When we arrived we've been told that there was an issue with the filter in the pool and they recommended us a different room which was a lot smaller than the one that we booked. We' ve been told that they would fix the pool the next day so we decided to stay in the room that we booked. However, the issue with the pool was not just the filter, the glass was really dirty most likely because people have been swimming after they've applied sunscreen, we were touching the glass and the dirt was coming out, also the sun beds and the sofa in the terrace were really dirty as well as the couch in the room. Additionally, the was like a shower room in the suit and the floor was slippery most likely because it has not been cleaned properly for days. The room has a really good view and the staff is really friendly, the hotel is offering a small breakfast buffet which is quite nice but the whole experience this year was not great at all.

Double superior room with sea view had actually a view of 15 air conditioning units and giant electrical pole in front of the balcony. We were obliged to switch rooms for a less offensive view and were put into a standard size room. Ridiculously small and uncomfortable bathroom and the air conditioning did not work (only worked as a fan). Black out curtains but several lights sources in the room. Too many problems for a short stay.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Hotel was very clean, bright and welcoming. We arrived late and Iwavva (Joanne) welcomed us like family. We loved our room a unit on the top floor with access to a shared pool. The views are amazing. The breakfast was plentiful with many selections. We had dinner there 2 nights and we’re not disappointed, amazing flavours. The staff in the restaurant and bar were great and looked after us daily. A special thanks to Iwavva and the front desk for going above and beyond with dining and boat cruise recommendations to checking in every day as to where we went and saw. She made the stay here the best. We will definitely return to this place and will recommend to everyone
