Passiamo due notti qui per le nostre vacanze di luna di miele. Questo appartamento era spazioso, pulito e, soprattutto, aveva tutto quello che avete bisogno. Ben dotato di cucina con un grande frigo. Perfettamente situato. Molto chiuso a una bella spiaggia e a piedi da molti grandi ristoranti. La stazione tram era solo pochi minuti a piedi. Buono valore per soldi. Questa è la mia prima volta ad Adelaide e sarò certamente tornato con la mia famiglia!

Easy check in and parking available. The rooms were big. The windows and carpet need a deep clean but the location is great and exactly what we needed for our overnight stay. The shower in the main bathroom however is not accessibility friendly as you need to step into a high bathtub with no handrail for support.

Questo hotel è molto ben situato. Solo lungo la strada è la marina e tutto quello che Gleneg deve offrire è entro pochi centinaia di metri in entrambe le direzioni. Non paghi molto per questo hotel e quindi non ottiene molto. La stanza era sicura e relativamente pulita. La nostra stanza era su alcune scarpe scarsamente luminose. La doccia era sopra il bagno e usava una giardina doccia. La testa del doccia aveva un'abitudine irritante di sparare acqua fuori dalle strade laterali e colpire la faccia come la tornò, la testa del condizionatore era montata su un pezzo di legno di peli, e quando si spostava su di essa vibrava molto male. Il letto era molto confortevole e le tende avevano un buon lavoro per tenere la stanza buia. La stanza era piuttosto tranquilla, che era sorprendente, dato il suo avvicinamento a una strada relativamente occupata. Il servizio alla ricezione era buono. Ho soggiornato in questo hotel molti anni fa e, per essere onesti, non credo che sia cambiato molto da allora.

The Grand is without a doubt all about the location! Given it’s ocean front position it should offer an absolute premium experience but instead falls a little short as it continues to date without much sign of refurbishment. The rooms are basic, the carpets old, the furnishings aging and everything just feels in need of some love. Bathrooms still have showers over the bath with shower curtains and the air con in the room wasn’t very effective (too hot despite being on the coolest setting). There was also a wedding being hosted during my 1 night stay and despite my room being on the 5th floor (ballroom is on level 1), I could hear the band/music until the end of the reception at 11:30pm. On the positive (besides premium location), the staff at reception / concierge were excellent. They greeted with absolute care on arrival and happiness during check out, despite being early in the morning. It felt like they enjoyed what they did and that’s so good to see in customer facing roles. Worth considering this hotel for a stay, just as long as you’re happy with basic ammenities in a great location.

We had a travel auction for 4 days and were given room 233 upstairs north of the apartment block. The other rooms were animal friendly and there were a maximum of 6 rooms occupied over our stay. After finding our room as very small with a very outdated bathroom with white tiles stuck with white silicone to replace the missing brown tiles inside the shower and a carpet stuck to the exhaust fan we settled in for the evening. After about an hour it was getting quite cold in the room inspite of the air conditioner working and being set on 26 degrees Celsius. On inspection we removed 2 filters that looked like carpets from the air conditioner. I took the filters to the reception and explained the issue with heating and explained that the hottest place in the room was the cupboard that the fridge was in. I also bought up the lack of cleaning in the unit. To her credit the person behind the counter apologised and moved us to room 230. This was a much larger room with a separate bathroom and an extra single bed but the marina view was blocked by a large palm tree that was banging on the windows in the wind for the rest of our stay. As there was no room service because we were staying for 4 nights we watched the cleaning staff changing sheets and towels and soaps for each other room in about 10 minutes per unit each day. The day before we left I went to reception to discuss the issues with room 233 originally and talked with Paulette the shift supervisor about room 230 and the palm tree banging on the window for 3 nights and the exhaust fan so noisy that it couldn’t be on when in the main room and the fact that this fridge also was completely iced up and very hot in the cupboard it was in. We left on Friday morning and I received a courtesy call on Monday from the person who originally moved us. In that conversation she explained that the motel was “supposed to be demolished 5 years ago “. My comment to her was that social media had plenty of the same problems as we reported and I said I thought that it would be better sense for whoever books out rooms to avoid the ones that can’t be bought up to a suitable standard to rent out. Inspite of the location I believe the owners not the staff should take responsibility for renting out suitable clean rooms for customers regardless of the price of the rooms.

La stanza e l'hotel erano bellissimi. Il personale della ricezione erano grandi e i caffè dal bistro erano ben preparati e deliziosi. Ho avuto solo una visita molto veloce per la notte a Adelaide, e in realtà l'hotel era solo un posto per dormire. Il letto era comodo e la camera era grande. Credo che il trasporto pubblico sia vicino, ma non l'ha usato o ha avuto alcuna possibilità di esplorare l'area immediata. Quanto so che il bistro/caffè è l'unica caratteristica aggiuntiva che offre la proprietà.
