Seabreeze Restaurant with Rooms

We booked a non seaview room as we have a seaview from out home and this was just a quick night away but we did expect a decent size window overlooking a small road or the town. We were in room 2 and only had a very small window/door which wasn't part of the main room overlooking the emergency exit. We paid £95 directly to the hotel and it was less than half empty so I'm sure there must have been a better non sea view room. There was also a very thin curtain over the door/window so let light in all night so sleep quality was bad. Bed was comfy but pillow hard and solid, coffee and hostress basket was great, and bathrrom worked perfectly. Beakfast was very good quality but i did order compote and received yogurt.

we found this little gem back in August 2020 when were all first set free ( a bit at least) after the first Covid lockdown and we are so glad we did. great little place with excellent restaurant, the food is really good. good car park opposite and the rooms are good value. The owners and staff are friendly. we will keep going back for a relaxing couple of days every so often.

If you’re staying in or visiting Aberdovey don’t miss the opportunity to dine at Seabreeze. The quality of the food is 5 star and all the staff are so friendly and efficient. We are getting towards the end of a 6 night holiday in North/mid Wales and I can say unreservedly that the meal we had this evening at Seabreeze was by far the best in terms of both taste and presentation. Also, as an exception these days, their wines are very sensibly priced, for example Picpoul de Pinet £25 a bottle.

A great base with great food and a few buts.... Good size room with a lovely view. Clean and comfortable. But.. Room 8 is on the 3rd floor with 51 steps. OK though if you are fit but my wife struggled a bit. Furniture in room 8 is very cheap and rickety but functional. The advertised power shower isn't. You have to listen to hear the tank filling up in the mornings and evenings as if you can hear water flowing there is no pressure to the shower or taps. The restaurant is amazing with superb food and good portions. Breakfast is varied and will keep you full all day. But.. it is very busy and heavily booked (quite rightly so too) but we did not know this and tried to book for 3 different nights at 7.15 immediately on arrival on the Friday. We were told there was no table available till Tuesday at 7.45! I mentioned that had we known we would have booked before arrival and was met only with a grimace and a shrug. Terrible. We then booked for 6pm. The first meal we had was just superb. A couple of nights later we arrived on time for our booking only for some young girl to tell us we had not got a reservation as it was for later. But we told her it had been changed so she looked again and agreed yes, we did have a reservation but she could not offer us a table, even though we were residents and had booked 4 days previously and had a reservation. It did not matter, no apology just a grimace and a shrug, same attitude but different person. I had to take her to one side and explain about attitude and customer service. A simple apology would have been fine but no we left very angrily to find somewhere else to eat. Next morning word had got around and we had our apology and offers of drinks on the house for our next meal, and after that we had superb service for the rest of the week. So overall we had a good stay at Seabreeze. marred only by a bad attitude from a couple of staff, but all the others were absolutely fine. The council car park was just across the road and was available at a discounted rate. No problems parking at all. It does not take too much effort to make a good impression on customers so with that in mind, if those staff implicated improved their customer service skills, I would have no hesitation in awarding Seabreeze 5 stars.

Ian managed to source halibut and the chef created a brilliant dish with superb taste and texture. The wines are also outstanding without being wince inducing on price. Thank you Ian, the Chef, Clare and the brilliant staff who looked after the group of golfers on the 9th May 2023.

At the end of the parade in aberdovey beach, we didn't even know you were there but You are an absolute gem! We visited last minute on a Saturday in Feb and were well accommodated despite it being busy. The resteraunt is warm and cosy and the food is just amazing! We had seafood of course being close to the sea and the produce was locally sourced. Prices were also reasonable. Great experience and we will be back again!

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was spotless. Excellent tea/coffee making facilities. Beautiful view across the estuary. The staff were friendly, helpful and professional. If you order the full Welsh breakfast be hungry because it is big, beautifully cooked and well presented. Unfortunately were were unable to eat an evening meal in the restaurant as it was fully booked which is testament to it popularity and which I presume is reflected in the quality of the food. We stayed in room 8. Small but adequate. Rooms 7 & 8 are on the top floor which is around 50 stairs over 3 floors. Only a problem if you are 'getting on' in life or suffer with health/mobility problems. Young and fit - No problem. If you are concerned about your choice of room I suggest you book direct with Seabreeze whom I am sure will assist.

We were called before arrival due to changes for check-in due to staffing and departure due to the queen's funeral, so when we arrived which was early we were welcomed by a lovely lady who sorted a parking permit (£6) and the key to the room which we only had to wait a little for it to be ready ( well before normal check-in time) The room was lovely and spacious with a large bed and sofa seating area which was clean with tea/coffee machine facilities. Unfortunately we couldn't book the restaurant as fully booked but will definitely return and hopefully book in . Breakfast was fabulous which was included and ordered off the menu, we opted for the Welsh breakfast with orange juice and coffee. Couldn't fault it and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Plenty to choose from on the menu from a choice of hot breakfast to cereal/toast etc. Great location right on the sea front. Would definitely stay here again.

First visit to this great restaurant with rooms on the sea front in Aberdovey. Stayed two nights at the end of their winter dinner, bed & breakfast offer which is excellent value. All our dinner choices were excellent, especially the fish dishes, and breakfast was one of the best ever. Rooms were lovely too (although some heavier curtains or blackout blinds to keep out the light would be a great addition) and the service warm and friendly. Really looking forward to going back.
