Magnificent view from my hotel room! Didn’t know hotel provides pickup and drop off services, just give them a call! I rolled my big suitcase down the steep hill and so on from the train station 😅. Love the restaurant next door, the sashimi was caught from the morning! Great hotel with nice onsen, you can enjoy onsen from your bathtubs too.

Stayed 2 nights at this lovely place. Hotel was very near the train station and within walking distance to many restaurants and cafes. The staff at this hotel were warm and I felt really taken care of. We were able to understand each other with simple English and Japanese. My room was spacious and had a great view of the sea and sunrise! The onsen in the room was big and I had a good time soaking in it. On my check out day, the staff gave me a back of kiwis that were farmed by the owner of the hotel. Would love to come back here again when I have chance!

La camera era un po' piccola, specialmente il letto matrimoniale; avrei dovuto prenotare una stanza con due letti singoli, altrimenti può essere un po' scomodo. C'era ramen gratuito dopo le 21:30, ma non ci sono andato. Non ci sono ristoranti nelle vicinanze, quindi ricordatevi di mangiare prima del check-in, altrimenti l'unica opzione è camminare dieci minuti per mangiare un bento box del FamilyMart. Ah, e le sorgenti termali annesse sono molto pulite.

We only stayed one night, but it was an incredible experience - everything from the caring service to the traditional style of room to the thoughtful osen setup! All five star! The staff spoke limited English but it was very smooth and easy to use translation software. We chose to have breakfast there and it was delightful - so many little dishes and all served in our room and we even dressed up in traditional attire for it, provided by the ryokan. It’s very easy to get a taxi from Izu Kogen and it was easy for us to order an uber in the evening for dinner if you don’t want to go full out for what the ryokan provides - so it’s friendly enough if you aren’t driving. The individual osen pools were so chill - could have sat there for hours! High recommend this place if you want a piece of real Japanese culture!
