Fantastico
PPockyBackpackDuring winter, the road for the last 800 meters before reaching the hotel is closed, and you must walk in. Guests need to park at Okama Onsen first. Before arrival, you are required to inform the hotel of your check-in time so that a staff member can guide you on foot to the property. The staff will help carry your luggage, but if you have many bags, it’s best to inform them in advance.
The highlight of this stay is definitely the walk to the hotel. You walk deep into the forest along towering walls of snow on both sides, and eventually discover the onsen hidden in the woods. It feels truly special and secluded.
The lobby area is not very large, and the number of staff is quite limited, but overall the service was very good. Dinner was served at a counter bar, and the chef was extremely friendly and spoke good English. The receptionist at the lobby, who is from Taiwan, speaks English, Chinese, and Japanese fluently. She explained everything clearly, helped carry our luggage on the way out, and even assisted with clearing snow off our car.
Personally, I found the public onsen area to be a bit disappointing. The floor was icy and slippery, which felt somewhat unsafe. However, the private onsen in the room was excellent — very private, spacious for an in-room bath, with a beautiful view and wonderfully fragrant mineral water.
The room itself was spacious, quiet, and peaceful. Mobile signal does not work inside the hotel, but the hotel provides Wi-Fi, which was stable and fast.
Both breakfast and dinner were very good, and the hotel responded to emails and accommodated our special dietary requests, which we really appreciated.
The only regret was that the snow was extremely deep during our visit, making it hard to fully see and imagine the surrounding scenery.

WWangjingsanshaoL'ordine del viaggio ha portato ad un'errata uscita dal villaggio di latte caldo e ricreazione a vivere più di una notte in pianura. Questa piccola città sembra aver aperto questo hotel e anche la nostra famiglia di ospiti quella notte.La famiglia del capo è molto gentile, il servizio è molto buono e fa tutto il possibile per aiutare gli ospiti. Il caldo è anche dentro e fuori. Il cibo è un po'come il cibo comune giapponese, molto fresco, molto dolce.Le strutture sono vecchie, e non c'è ascensore, il bagaglio è molto stanco.

WWangCFWe drove to the hotel and appreciated the big free parking available. We also noted the proximity of the train station, so location wise, it is convenient yet gives the sense of seclusion which is perfect for relaxation. Check in was a breeze, the English proficiency of the receptionist with the printed information in English good enough. the Onsen was large and the outdoor part was a joy! i particularly enjoyed my time there soaking in the hot water, listening to the sound of the flowing river and watching the fauna. food spread, quality and quantity at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. i noted that the staffs were diligently topping up items that were running out even to later in the meal times, unlike some places where they may just not do so. We booked a room with open air bath and it was worth the money for it! would totally do that again when i return and highly recommended. must compliment the lounge with their welcome drinks and rice crackers which you can help yourself to. although its just rice crackers, it a nice touch, perhaps adding some nuts is my only suggestion. would highly recommend this place to stay if around, in fact we deliberately chose to stay here to break our journey from Hirosaki to Morioka, so glad we did!

JJacq HoThe hotel itself was nice and clean. The rooms are spacious. There's a heater and dehumidifier in the room. Food is buffet breakfast and dinner.
We were in the west wing which requires a bit of a walk to get to the room. And the main inconvenience is there is a flight of stairs to get up before having an elevator to the room floor. The outdoor onsen is in a different section to the indoor onsen.
The hotel is certainly geared for skiers as everything closes during the middle of the day (souvenir shop, onsen). So make sure you have activities booked in advance.
The website of the hotel is also a bit confusing with the number in-house activities available - be sure to check with the front counter first. Peak hour staff has good command in English but need translation for night staff.
A few things of note:
- the shuttle is very busy at the 3pm and 10am run - make sure you pre-book
- there is a shuttle to tsurunoyu iriguchi onsen 鶴の湯温泉 from a bus stop near the hotel, no need to take the public bus

HHuangyinPrima ho prenotato questo hotel caldo sabato e mi sono costato 33600 yuan. Pensavo di poter vivere in una grande stanza, ma dopo che tutto era finito a cena e due dormitori, tutto è diventato diverso. Non possiamo aprire il bagaglio, perché non c'è posto, andare in bagno con il salto, Perche'non c'è modo di andare, ho davvero un po'di aria per prenotare questa casa perché è LA VISTA ma il gruppo, ma il cibo e il sapore sono i prezzi giusti, la sala da pranzo calda è anche molto dolce, acqua, divertimento, latte fresco, ma non c'è frutta,, Questo è anche un posto strano che penso sia. E spesso passiamo attraverso il tavolo. Quando sei l'aria, tutti i camerieri sono in modo che l'hotel si sposta. Abbiamo appena lasciato la stanza e indossato le scarpe. Arrivederci, si ritrovano e non sono arrivati alla porta. Sono davvero troppo in attesa?

UUtente ospiteThis place is extraordinarily overpriced for what it is. I expected much more amenities and service.
Although the staff were friendly and courteous, the place was fairly bland. The onsen was mediocre and there were no refreshments afterwards unless you wanted to go to a vending machine. Even Dormy Inn provides refreshments after the onsen but at Towado Hotel having to pay for them and not even the nice ones is ridiculous when you have to pay so much to stay here. The same for the relaxation chair. It is coin-operated not complementary.
I would not recommend staying here if you’re looking for a luxury experience because although you pay for that, it’s definitely nowhere near that. Our Western style room was very basic, and it just didn’t have those special finishing touches I had hoped for.

UUtente ospiteE'un tipico hotel caldo giapponese, vecchio, ma comodo.Il servizio di trasporto, caldo e cena mattina sono perfetti. Andiamo al mare lungo la strada montana, e il paesaggio è bello e non può essere descritto in parole.
E'molto bello, la zia che mangiava la cena, vedendo che ci piaceva il foglio di pranzo sotto i piatti, ci ha dato un'intimità per riprodurci una nuova, lingua incomprensibile presupposto. Così caldo, è la migliore esperienza del viaggio.Purtroppo, non so il suo nome, spero di poterle ringraziare.
Ci sarà un'opportunità di tornare l'estate!

AAllison愛體驗L'hotel è un vecchio hotel caldo 🍽️, l'ambiente è molto tranquillo e ha un parcheggio gratuito.
Anche se il cameriere non conosce l'inglese, è anche buono cercare di risolvere i problemi che dobbiamo risolvere.
La collina fuori dall'hotel è molto forte. Il conducente deve stare attento 
Non c'è negozio fuori dall'hotel. Devi mangiare all'hotel. Anche se le cose non sono troppo buone, il sapore giapponese è pieno di accettare

AAlbert Alexandre AlexisAs luxurious as one can expect. Beautiful place in a secluded natural environment with lavish service and delicious food. The bath are very well prepared and the staff is extremely kind and attentive.
It is a hard ask but it would be nice to have some western options at breakfast. But of course this is a Japanese traditional inn yet these options would feel even more luxurious.
Some of the decoration feels a bit either dated, kitsch or not being harmonious, I think they need a redesign of the furnitures are it looks more like an assemblage than a harmonious selection of decoration and furnitures. It’s a little on the weird side even sometimes!
But the bedding is exceptional. You will have a great sleep at this stay!

SSolo Traveler HKI didn’t have good experience the last few times that I stayed in other hotels of Dormy Inn group in other Japan cities. I was afraid that I might get the same experience like last few times, if yes, it maybe the last time I stayed in Dormy Inn hotels. Not to mention the other hotel groups offer better service that I have experienced. Luckily, this stay was pleasant. Most staff were friendly with attentive service. Onsen was always the highlight. The only drawback was the the onsen was often crowded. The room was clean. The location was fine, 7 mins’ walk. Convenience store nearby.
