During winter, the road for the last 800 meters before reaching the hotel is closed, and you must walk in. Guests need to park at Okama Onsen first. Before arrival, you are required to inform the hotel of your check-in time so that a staff member can guide you on foot to the property. The staff will help carry your luggage, but if you have many bags, it’s best to inform them in advance. The highlight of this stay is definitely the walk to the hotel. You walk deep into the forest along towering walls of snow on both sides, and eventually discover the onsen hidden in the woods. It feels truly special and secluded. The lobby area is not very large, and the number of staff is quite limited, but overall the service was very good. Dinner was served at a counter bar, and the chef was extremely friendly and spoke good English. The receptionist at the lobby, who is from Taiwan, speaks English, Chinese, and Japanese fluently. She explained everything clearly, helped carry our luggage on the way out, and even assisted with clearing snow off our car. Personally, I found the public onsen area to be a bit disappointing. The floor was icy and slippery, which felt somewhat unsafe. However, the private onsen in the room was excellent — very private, spacious for an in-room bath, with a beautiful view and wonderfully fragrant mineral water. The room itself was spacious, quiet, and peaceful. Mobile signal does not work inside the hotel, but the hotel provides Wi-Fi, which was stable and fast. Both breakfast and dinner were very good, and the hotel responded to emails and accommodated our special dietary requests, which we really appreciated. The only regret was that the snow was extremely deep during our visit, making it hard to fully see and imagine the surrounding scenery.

L'ordine del viaggio ha portato ad un'errata uscita dal villaggio di latte caldo e ricreazione a vivere più di una notte in pianura. Questa piccola città sembra aver aperto questo hotel e anche la nostra famiglia di ospiti quella notte.La famiglia del capo è molto gentile, il servizio è molto buono e fa tutto il possibile per aiutare gli ospiti. Il caldo è anche dentro e fuori. Il cibo è un po'come il cibo comune giapponese, molto fresco, molto dolce.Le strutture sono vecchie, e non c'è ascensore, il bagaglio è molto stanco.

We drove to the hotel and appreciated the big free parking available. We also noted the proximity of the train station, so location wise, it is convenient yet gives the sense of seclusion which is perfect for relaxation. Check in was a breeze, the English proficiency of the receptionist with the printed information in English good enough. the Onsen was large and the outdoor part was a joy! i particularly enjoyed my time there soaking in the hot water, listening to the sound of the flowing river and watching the fauna. food spread, quality and quantity at both dinner and breakfast was excellent. i noted that the staffs were diligently topping up items that were running out even to later in the meal times, unlike some places where they may just not do so. We booked a room with open air bath and it was worth the money for it! would totally do that again when i return and highly recommended. must compliment the lounge with their welcome drinks and rice crackers which you can help yourself to. although its just rice crackers, it a nice touch, perhaps adding some nuts is my only suggestion. would highly recommend this place to stay if around, in fact we deliberately chose to stay here to break our journey from Hirosaki to Morioka, so glad we did!

The room was very good, quite large by Japanese standards. Everything was clean and in good condition. The location is very convenient too - easily accessible by public transportation from Tazawako station and Nyuto Onsen. There's also a free shuttle bus to and from Tazawako station (it's advised to reserve a seat in advance). The food was great and plentiful, using many local ingredients. Overall, great value for money.

Prima ho prenotato questo hotel caldo sabato e mi sono costato 33600 yuan. Pensavo di poter vivere in una grande stanza, ma dopo che tutto era finito a cena e due dormitori, tutto è diventato diverso. Non possiamo aprire il bagaglio, perché non c'è posto, andare in bagno con il salto, Perche'non c'è modo di andare, ho davvero un po'di aria per prenotare questa casa perché è LA VISTA ma il gruppo, ma il cibo e il sapore sono i prezzi giusti, la sala da pranzo calda è anche molto dolce, acqua, divertimento, latte fresco, ma non c'è frutta,, Questo è anche un posto strano che penso sia. E spesso passiamo attraverso il tavolo. Quando sei l'aria, tutti i camerieri sono in modo che l'hotel si sposta. Abbiamo appena lasciato la stanza e indossato le scarpe. Arrivederci, si ritrovano e non sono arrivati alla porta. Sono davvero troppo in attesa?

Questo posto è straordinariamente troppo costoso per ciò che è. Mi aspettavo molto più attrezzature e servizi. Sebbene il personale fosse amichevole e cortese, il posto era piuttosto insensato, e il cibo era mediocre e non ci fossero ricreazioni a meno che non volesse andare in una macchina di vendita. Anche Dormy Inn offre rinfrescamenti dopo il pranzo, ma all'Hotel Towado dovete pagare per loro e nemmeno i piacevoli sono ridicoli quando dovete pagare così tanto per rimanere qui. Lo stesso per la sedia di relax. Esso non è operato in moneta complementare. Non vorrei consigliare di rimanere qui se stai cercando un'esperienza di lusso perché, sebbene tu paghi per questo, non è sicuramente da nessuna parte vicina a quella. La nostra camera di stile occidentale era molto elementare, e non aveva solo i tocchi speciali di finitura che avevo sperato per. 

温泉、お料理とても良かったです。 お部屋の冷蔵庫の電源が切ってあるとは知らず、よく見れば書いてあるのですが、フロントで一言言って頂けるとありがたかったです。 飲み物冷やして風呂上がりにと思ったのですが、ぬる過ぎて気づきました。

L'hotel è buono per essere raccomandato. La stanza è pulita, il panorama fuori finestra è bello, la colazione e la cena sono molto buoni, e c'è una zuppa privata calda, ma devi prenotare un appuntamento.Il 5° piano può vedere le figure 15, 16, e il servizio è anche buono, molto buona esperienza calda.

This very homestay style accommodation started some 48 years ago by the grandma. Two of her daugthers, Kaori and Katura now runs this cosy place with about 10 rooms. The stars are the two Akita inu, Haru-chan (father), 7 years old. And his daughter, Hana-chan (6 years old). it will take some time to warm up with them, similar to Shiba inu. We got to spend sometime with both of them during our stay, including giving them some treats, watched Haru-chan drinks ice cream with ice (it was a hot day). Chatted with Kaori and grandma to find out more about them. We had dinner and breakfast which was home cooked style. It has been a pleasant stay. Very friendly and down to earth family. This is highly recommended if you are into Akita Inu and enjoy homestay.

As luxurious as one can expect. Beautiful place in a secluded natural environment with lavish service and delicious food. The bath are very well prepared and the staff is extremely kind and attentive. It is a hard ask but it would be nice to have some western options at breakfast. But of course this is a Japanese traditional inn yet these options would feel even more luxurious. Some of the decoration feels a bit either dated, kitsch or not being harmonious, I think they need a redesign of the furnitures are it looks more like an assemblage than a harmonious selection of decoration and furnitures. It’s a little on the weird side even sometimes! But the bedding is exceptional. You will have a great sleep at this stay!
