It’s an amazing place to stay! Location is very convenient and there are many interesting places nearby. The food that they cook is always delicious and the variety is so big. The view is stunning, the pool is big, the rooms are clean, modern and spacious. The hotel stuff is very helpful and polite. They have positive vibes and the place is so cozy and homey. You even can order a transfer there if you need at any time. We enjoyed our weekend there a lot and wish to be back again. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful place to break away from the noise of everyday life!
The entire camp has such a calm, serene, almost zen-like atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, everything felt peaceful and well thought out. The design and layout of the place are stunning. There’s bamboo growing everywhere, adding to the natural, tranquil vibe. The cabins themselves are pretty modern and clean.
The staff we interacted with was incredibly kind, friendly, and genuinely helpful - even though there was a language barrier.
Whether we needed a ride somewhere around the camp (which was always available thanks to staff driving around regularly) or had a question, they were always happy to assist. Adding reception on WhatsApp made things even easier – they responded quickly to any requests we had.
The food was amazing. We especially loved the Chinese restaurant – every dish we tried was full of flavor.
There’s a communal pool and other fun activities like paddling, which unfortunately we couldn’t enjoy due to the weather. Still, it’s nice to know they’re available. There’s also a small animal park where one can see peacocks, goats, chickens and ducks. It’s also nice to just walk around the camp.
The views are just gorgeous, and the whole environment encourages you to relax and slow down. All in all, it’s the perfect place to unwind, recharge, and just enjoy some peace and the beauty of nature.
One small downside was that there was only one coffee machine available at breakfast, which led to a long line. We ended up buying coffee, which was a bit inconvenient—especially since we could’ve had coffee for free. 🤭
I highly recommended Elephant and Moon! Would love to visit again!

Mi piace molto qui!Anche se è vicino al Canyon di Yanbei, è conveniente non lasciare il popolo.La vista della stanza è buona. Una vista è la giungla di Yanxia, molto curata con libri di spedizione e frutta per soggiornare. Il cortile posteriore è il giardino, e il gioco è particolarmente conveniente, specialmente il popolo ha anche preparato molti strumenti per giocare con l'acqua, la piastra di scarico, la zona di riposo del cielo e farmaci urgenti!!Molto attento!!! Un hotel a 5* per clienti cinesi, non ospiti internazionali.
Le strutture dell'hotel sono molto belle con camere da letto e il parco intorno all'hotel è un vero plus. Propongono anche molte attività. Da quel lato, questo è fino a standard intercontinentali o anche al di sopra.
Tuttavia, ci sono stati tre punti che sono stati deludenti e per noi non sono al massimo standard per un hotel di 5 stelle:
- nessun personale di lingua inglese è accettabile per un marchio internazionale. Non potevamo comunicare alla reception o al ristorante.
- si menziona che 4 ristoranti sono aperti sul sito web e nell'area pubblica (1 giapponese, 1 cinese, 1 buffet e 1 internazionale), mentre in realtà solo 2 sono stati aperti: il cinese e l'internazionale. Quest'ultimo non è conforme alla norma internazionale: nessun menu di dessert, solo menu di bevande disponibili in cinese e la qualità è stata media al massimo.
- Il servizio per cibo e bevande è generalmente molto lento (1ora per ottenere hamburger mentre è l'unico cliente/ +30mn per ottenere bevande al bar) anche se il personale è bello.

The hotel lady is very nice, polite and welcoming. As they saw that I was pregnant, they offered to help carry our bags to our room. The view from the room is lovely. Bathtub on the balcony is relaxing and can enjoy the nice view at the same time.
I read some reviews about bugs. This homestay is in the middle of nature, so naturally you can expect bugs to be around. We were lucky with only one flying bug in our bedroom.
Some minor things, like the door handle of the bathroom door wasn’t securely fastened and the bathtub leaked a bit. But it was nothing major.
The pool could maybe use a bit of a shady area, as it gets quite hot on sunny days and there is nowhere to relax in the pool in the shade. This is just a tip. We enjoyed the pool either way. There is a wonderful view from the pool and the water was nice and cool.

The hotel area is amazing and peaceful. We didn’t expect it could be so lovely place to chill and enjoy time. The hotel is comfortable, clean and cozy. The stuff is very helpful and friendly. Lovely coffee places, nice gym and swimming pool areas. The Mountain Views are the best. We didn’t want to leave because it was not enough and we know we will come again for sure. High recommended place to stay.

We book 2 nights an exclusive lake view room. The lounge 17F was very low in service, you get drinks and food between 5:30-7:30pm and loud music. On lake side the hotel did construction staring before 8am was very noisy and front desk did not care. They offered some chocolate, for compensation. The pool was dirty and freezing cold. The worst Sheraton I have been and I can not recommend.

Il nostro maggiordomo Xiao Ma è una persona seria e responsabile e il suo servizio caloroso trasmette ai clienti un'atmosfera molto cordiale. La stanza è pulita e ordinata, la vista fuori dalla finestra è perfetta, l'arredamento è squisito, i servizi della casa sono completi, il letto è morbido e confortevole, consentendo di dormire bene la notte, e anche la sorgente termale privata in montagna è molto bella. **Check-In Experience:**
We arrived at Xianhua Sandalwood International Hotel and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff greeted us warmly and provided all the necessary information about our stay. However, the English was limited, but at least it was smooth and no hassles.
**Room Comfort:**
Our room was spacious and well-appointed. We appreciated the comfortable king sized bed, view, huge bathtub, cleanliness, and spaciousness. However, as a coffee lover, there was only one serving of coffee, so when we woke up the next morning I was quite upset that only myself was able to enjoy an early morning coffee. Nevertheless, it was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
**Facilities:**
The hotel offered various facilities that enhanced our stay. We particularly enjoyed facilities like a fitness center, indoor pool, hot springs, table tennis and the pool table. The breakfast buffet was delightful, offering a mix of local and international cuisine.
**Service:**
The staff was exceptional. They were always available and eager to assist with any requests. Their friendly approach made our stay even more pleasant. The front desk manager Kang was super friendly and arranged for the coffee bar to open earlier the day we checked out.
**Room for Improvement:**
While our overall experience was positive, there were a couple of areas for improvement. We traveled with our 7 month old daughter and the noise and maintenance were quite unpleasant. However, these didn’t detract significantly from our enjoyment.
**Final Thoughts:**
This international hotel is just a few minutes' drive from the city, offering a serene escape with a beautiful exterior. Guests are welcomed by a picturesque fish pond, vibrant gardens, playful rabbits, and a designated play area for kids, making it an ideal family-friendly destination.
In addition to comfortable accommodations and expected amenities, the hotel provides a relaxing environment for guests of all ages.
Would we return? Absolutely!

UUtente anonimoIt was overall an alright stay, don’t expect Japanese standards. Apparently they had a soft opening period and just opened on April 15. You can see that things aren’t running so smoothly yet, trip.com shows that spa needs to be booked a day in advance, but on WeChat they said no reservations required and we can use anytime. The second day we wanted to use the spa our second time, and was told by a staff we couldn’t use it again, which we were confused about. Later other staff said we could.
The spa itself had spectacular views, but the outdoor pool weirdly had half eaten and rotten apples floating around. After talking to the spa staff they said it was for aesthetic purposes and guests must have eaten them without knowing that. Worrying hygiene standards 😨 apart from that overall hygiene seems to be alright.
All rooms have our own private courtyard so there are two doors, the main wooden door and then the glass door to our actual room. The main wooden door broke down twice - we couldn’t lock it (more like they didn’t fix the problem fully the first time), which wasted our time as we had to sit around to watch the maintenance staff fixing our door.
Breakfast was okay but half the dishes were way too salty for my taste. Weird mix of “Western”, “Japanese” and Chinese dishes. Cheaper to buy on the spot (168 yuan as of today).
Service was not up to the standard of a hotel of this price point. The staff welcoming us seems like she was reading from a script, we couldn’t hear half the time even after asking her to enunciate clearer twice. Felt like they were here to monitor us more than take care of us. Instead of “how may I help you?”, they actually responded “what’s wrong?” on two separate occasions. I don’t think this is acceptable! Some staff also do not greet guests properly.

TTridib MisraAfter reserving, I received a courtesy call from the hotel, and we then connected on WeChat since I don’t speak Chinese. The hotel introduced me to Long, the housekeeper, who coordinated our entire stay with great care and attention. Before our arrival, they asked if we had any special requests. As my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, I asked them to decorate the room with flowers—and they did a beautiful job.
They also asked about our dinner and breakfast preferences and were impressively organized in their preparations. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, but our taxi had trouble locating the hotel. I called Long, and he immediately came out to meet us—a huge help! When we checked in, they welcomed us with refreshments and even surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade. The room had a bathtub, which our three-year-old son especially loved.
To our delight, they had thoughtfully prepared a child’s hygiene kit for him, including kid-friendly soap, shampoo, and a dental kit. We also received a handwritten note, a fresh fruit bowl, and a lovely bouquet of flowers. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, spotless, and very tastefully decorated.
There’s a small indoor play area for children, including a slide, tent, and games—our son played there every day. We also enjoyed strolling around the grounds and spending time at the scenic swimming pool, which is nestled in the mountains. The food was another highlight: we had a delicious Chinese dinner and a traditional Chinese breakfast, both full of flavor.
Throughout our stay, Long was incredibly helpful and made our trip truly special. Thank you, Long!
I highly recommend Lost Villa. They have other locations as well, and we’re definitely looking forward to staying with them again.

Come ”amante dell'hotel” che ha vissuto centinaia di hotel vacanze, questa volta l'esperienza del castello di Toscana è stata sconvolta dalla birra residua nel frigorifero per il servizio 007 dell'angelo Xiaoda, che è ancora in movimento per scrivere la lettera di lode! (Questo ancestrale sconosciuto, la sua metà birra è quasi diventata la più sorprendente ”hospitalità” di questa permanenza)
Tre ragioni per cui bisogna lodare cinque stelle:
1️⃣ La camera è molto grande, la decorazione è molto caratteristica. Vivo abituato alla catena internazionale per bloccare questo hotel locale è molto sorprendente. Una volta che entrato il condizionamento della porta, il aria condizionata può essere come installare l'aria fredda delle Alpi (molto dolce) per mantenere secca come la tecnologia nera in estate di Yunnan. Benvenuto a bere e bere frutta è solo un salvataggio del aria - Una pistola.
2️⃣ Il servizio della signorina Xiao Tin vale la pena premiare separatamente il ”problema a sinistra” a mezzanotte a una velocità molto rapida. Questo servizio di guardia online 24 ore deve davvero aggiungere le gambe di pollo!
3️⃣ Letti buoni, il modello della stanza buono, il grado di intelligenza del pannello di letto aperto in 18 anni e il marchio internazionale di nuova apertura dopo l'epidemia sono un po'di peggio.

UUtente ospiteWe found this OldTown NanXun and love the look of it, so we booked the Accommodation at this Location.
It turns out to be a very nice place: it's right in the OldTown area, walk thru the Boutique with nice silk clothes and stuff
Fortunately we picked the Ground Level as we have big suitcases; wouldnt be happy to carry them upstairs.
The Room is well equipped with nice bed, pillows and beddings. Bathroom is well equipped, clean and smells good.
They do have a Spa but it's outdoor and we were too tired to go out.
There's tea and teapot supplied and you can have a sip after the walks around the area.
The Location is first-class: just a few steps to the action. I think I really love this HanXun Old Town; it's not too busy compared to the other Old Town, and it's full of Locals!
Most remarkable is the friendliness: Before we check-in I text them and they gave me the exact location for our Vehicle (since the access to the Old Town is quite challenging). If you have large suitcases and dont like climbing up stairs, I would strongly recommend you to contact them beforehand.
And on our check-out date, we have to return to ShangHai, a nice gentleman was very helpful, he helped us to talk to the Drivers and found us a suitable Transport. He spent over 30-minutes with us and we were very grateful.
If there is one thing I would recommend for improvement, perhaps the young man can slow-down in his smoking.
My husband and I have been smokers, but we have both quit. Hope he will do so one day for his health sake.

LLawrenceThis place is really beautiful. And it's close to Xiang Lake which I think is worth visiting besides the famous West Lake. We had a very comfortable stay there. Rooms are clean n spacious. But their central warming system turned the place really warm during the night. So much so we have to open the window to let cold air in to cool the room. The air conditioning can't cool it down enough.
For service I'll give it 4 stars given this is 5 star hotel. So I have higher expectation. The counter staff when we checked in that night did not give a good first impression. She wasn't rude n in fact was courteous in her words but I couldn't feel it in her tone or body language, something like coming out of a robot. I felt that in other service staff in other places too. But fortunately the other staff we encountered the next day wasn't like this. We can feel the warmth in their tone. And the next day during breakfast, there is no service at all. No one to bring us to the table. No one to clear our table. Nor anyone asked if we want any drink. The two staff in the restaurant stick together n stand around a pillar n will move together once in a while to clear tables after a table left. Otherwise they will stand there chatting.
So, except a little service lapses, this hotel is definitely worth staying when you are in Hangzhou.
