Pasamos un finde semana, somos de la isla y buscábamos algo para desconectar unos días y la verdad que nos llevamos una grata sorpresa. El lugar está apartado de todo en la costa del Toscal (en los realejos), lo que lo hace perfecto para el descanso, por la noche silencio absoluto solo oyes el sonido del mar desde la habitación. Los colchones son buenos, se descansa bien. El apartamento super espacioso y cómodo. El baño, con bañera grande y plato de ducha, a la peque le encantó la super bañera. La cocina con lo necesario a falta de un microondas. Los recepcionistas y la señora del bar de la piscina muy simpáticos y amables. El exterior me pareció súper bonito, la piscina para adultos está genial para días de calor (el agua no es climatizada, pero tiene buena temperatura para refresc****) hay una pequeña piscina infantil. Las hamacas y las colchonetas tienen sus años pero hacen su función. En el bar-restaurante no comimos, así q no puedo opinar, pero tenían para desayunar, platos para el almuerzo y cierra a las 15h. Tiene un peque parque para niños con arena (un balancín y un tobogán). Para llegar es necesario coche. Nosotros nos llevamos una muy buena impresión y creo que pronto repetiremos!

The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a good choice of items that are replenished throughout the set times, so nothing runs out. The room was clean (if not a little dated) and the bed very comfortable. We had a room on the 11th floor with wonderful views of the dramatic coastline; unfortunately the balcony doors rattled in the night as the howling winds and crashing waves danced in harmony! Surprisingly it was not cold in the room despite the elements outside. The mini bar was empty, which suited us as we kept our own drinks and snacks in the fridge. Not much information was given as to when the sheets/towels/toiletries would be replaced - but we followed the international rule of putting our towels in the bath tub and they were changed - the sheets were changed once during our 8 night stay. There is a free shuttle bus service that takes you into the main town which is a nice touch, with the last bus returning to the hotel at 19.45, which is a bit early but to be honest it is not that far to walk, just uphill a lot! Too cold to go in the pool for us, but others enjoyed a morning swim with free towels if you asked for them. Overall a pleasant experience.

The hotel was clean and tidy. Rooms are spacious with a separate bedroom. Kitchen has few utensils and pans and kettles so basic foods can be cooked. Balconies have two chairs and a table. Be aware that the balcony floor is very slippery when wet. Building D next to the road can be a bit noisy at times, trash truck beeping early in the morning etc. Hotel has a minimarket with mostly sandwiches, chocolate bars, beer and wine. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, lots of fruit, bread and cereal but not much meat. Same goes with the dinner. Don't trust Google maps, there's no easy route to Puerto de la Cruz centrum. The area surrounding the hotel is steep hills to every direction. Sidewalks are narrow if they exist at all. Nearest grocery stores are closer to 10 minute walk away. Few restaurants are nearby. There is one hotel next to this one but otherwise the neighbourhood is fully inhabited by locals. We enjoyed our stay a lot though we found out that the only viable way to travel between the hotel and Puerto de la Cruz was taxi.

This hotel was a huge disappointment. For the price we paid, I would definitely go somewhere else. I booked a room for myself and two kids (16 and 11) on a booking platform that described the room as suitable for three people, with a maximum of two adults. I assumed it would be a double or twin room with an extra bed for a child. However, when we arrived to check-in in the evening, they told us they had no record of three guests, only two adults, and that we could not stay in the room we had selected. They gave us a bigger apartment and asked me to come to the front desk the next morning to resolve the situation. I must say that the gentleman at the front desk during the evening shift was sincerely apologetic and showed empathy. However, the front desk man in the morning was a completely different story. He was rude and arrogant, and I've never experienced such poor hospitality. He showed no acknowledgement of their incorrect advertisement. They claimed that the room we selected was only suitable for two adults, with a maximum of one two-year-old child. I took the time to search through several different platforms where this ”family-friendly” hotel was listed, and on all of them, it stated that children up to the age of 13 were free of charge. However, in our case, we were asked to pay extra for our 11-year-old, which amounted to a 50% increase in the original price. With poor English skills, the only argument they had was several times ”It's not my problem. You pay now or leave!” - without getting back any money for the rest of the nights, of course. In the end, we paid the price and were reimbursed by the booking platform afterward, although I'm quite certain it was the hotel's fault. Mistakes do happen, but the rudeness and poor attitude of the staff were unacceptable. I don't see the hotel as family-friendly, friendly, or even polite at all. As for the hotel itself, the amenities were quite old, as evidenced by the condition of the rooms, restaurant, and outdoors. The pool was literally colder than the ocean, and nobody could stay in it for more than five minutes. For the original price, I would say it's about average, but after the 50% increase we paid, the hotel is way below average, and I would rather find a better hotel in a better location. To top it off, when we were leaving breakfast, one lady working in the restaurant got hysterical about our 11-year-old taking an APPLE from the breakfast buffet - how silly and rude reaction, especially to a kid.
