Alberta, Canada: hotel per famiglie

This was my first time staying here and booking through trip.com. Everything was great effortless and booking and checking in. The beds were comfy and the shower is big enough for two people. The Chinese food in the ****** while watch the hockey game was great. Also the braised beef short rib Benny was a delicious start to Mother’s Day. I will definitely stay here again and hopefully hit the hot tub next time for sure.

Il valore è molto importante per un breve periodo di permanenza vicino al YYC, con la rotta dal principale BarlowTrail NE. L'ingresso frontale è un po' confuso se si avvicina dall'area industriale posteriore. Il personale era amichevole e professionale, il normale deposito di danni alberghiere e la persona in attesa. La stanza era molto spaziosa e pulita, anche se un po' datata. AC era un po' più alto di quanto previsto, ma poteva dormire. Non ho avuto tempo di usare le strutture (pool e palestra).

Abbiamo prenotato una notte extra a Best Western Plus Hinton, abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti prima di questo e siamo stati piacevolmente sorpresi dalla nuova stanza che ci è stata data. Era senza spot, anche più pulita di quella che abbiamo soggiornato prima durante la prenotazione iniziale! Tutto quello che ci serviva era lì, e lo spazio si sentiva fresco e benvenuto, ma quello che ci era davvero apparso era la squadra di front desk, incredibilmente gentile, conosciuto e ospitante. Ci hanno permesso di controllare in anticipo, che apprezzavamo davvero, e hanno reso la transizione senza stress e senza stress. Buono servizio, grande soggiorno, molto raccomandato!

Purtroppo, il personale del dipartimento frontale non sembrava molto accogliente. La loro espressione e il tono hanno dato l’impressione che non fossero interessati ad aiutare gli ospiti. In generale, tutto era grande, la stanza era pulita, le strutture erano belle e la stanza era comoda.

Overall good experience, very convenient location and close to Airport, I am not sure about Hotel breakfast policy but they should consider keeping Egg Cheese Omelet separate from other meats i.e. Pork etc. Since some people have dietary need like myself and my family so we have no other options then to visit Tim Hortons or other place for breakfast although we have paid for the breakfast. I asked the same question with the reception guy but they were unaware so we have to wait until breakfast time for answers which is NO.

The motel is cheap and clean. Parking right out front of your room. Try to get a room on the back side. There is a wooded area on the back, a park, with trails. The motel is nicely renovated with decent design. The carpets outside in the open-air hallways need to be cleaned desperately. Service was normal (the East Indian guy working quickly had us checked-in).

Good location, however in the faucet everytime you switch to hot or cold water something yellow spits out every couple seconds. There was a mini bar and we did not touch it yet still got charged for a peach water which I did not use and when I phoned once I got the bill they told me that because it was in my room I was charged regardless if it was touched by us or not. My partner and I did not drink anything from there and no one was in our room. Otherwise good location for going out in the downtown and very comfortable beds

The hotel has charging piles, making it convenient to charge electric cars like Tesla. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The only minor drawback is that the air conditioner is quite noisy, but this is a common issue with independent air conditioners, after all, the compressor is indoors. Fortunately, Calgary isn't hot, so there's no need to use the air conditioner. 😜

We've never come across this kind of experience before,my wife's sister in-law has gone to heaven, that's why we've to cancel the Hotel booking. It's a free cancellation show on the booking page, but the Hotel said ”No”. That's why we didn't come to Calgary and never stayed a night at the Hotel. If you kindly fix this case, we'll book Hotel from you in the future, thanks for your kindly help. We're seniors, both of us are over 70 years old, thanks God, we have a good life! We still can travel in Europe and Asia every year!!

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Calgary-Airport for a quick stopover. As a frequent traveler through Alberta, I find this IHG property generally reliable, but my January visit was a mix of classic hospitality and a few seasonal frustrations. The Highlights: Late Night Relaxation: The pool area was buzzing with families and kids throughout the afternoon and early evening. However, I headed down about an hour before closing and it was a total shift in atmosphere. I managed to have a peaceful, quiet session in the hot tub, which was the perfect way to unwind after a long drive. Comfortable Rooms: As expected from this brand, the bedding was crisp and the room was well-insulated against the Calgary wind. Convenience: The proximity to the airport and easy access to Deerfoot Trail remains a major selling point for this location. The Drawbacks: Elevator Maintenance: It was a bit unfortunate that during my stay, one of the elevators was down for modernization maintenance. This led to some noticeable wait times in the lobby, especially during the morning checkout rush when everyone had luggage. Winter Parking Issues: This was my biggest hurdle. Given the intense cold during these Calgary nights, I was relieved to see outdoor stalls with plug-ins. However, I discovered the plug-ins were not powered, meaning my vehicle's block heater wasn't working overnight. Starting a cold-soaked engine the next morning was a struggle; I’d really love to see these activated for guests during the winter peak. Summary: Despite the elevator delay and the parking power issue, the staff were friendly and the amenities were clean. It’s a solid 4-star experience, though a few ”winter readiness” improvements would make it a 5.
