Uzbekistan: hotel con servizio colazione nella provincia di Regione di Khorezm

We stayed in a premium room for 2 nights. The hotel is mostly well reconstructed, and the staff was helpful. It is only a 5-minute walk to the main entrance of old Itchan Kala. The room was okay; a large bed, enough tables for a short stay, a modern toilet, and a good shower with strong water pressure (our room was on the entrance level). The internet connection was also fine. I believe it is related to the city’s old infrastructure, but there was always a bad smell coming from the drain, especially after taking a shower. We had to open the room door and window to air out the room. The breakfast was the weak point. It was the worst breakfast we had in Uzbekistan. We went at 7:30, and the sliced fruits (banana and apple) were no longer fresh and had already turned black. The boiled eggs were cold. They also tried to serve European-style pastries, but I had the worst croissant I have ever tasted. Uzbekistan actually has very good bakeries and pastries. Instead of trying foreign products, they should focus on their local delicacies, which they can prepare much more successfully and tastefully. There were also not enough vegetables and no greens at all. They only served cucumbers, which is disappointing considering Uzbekistan has excellent vegetables and fresh herbs. During check-in, they offered cold tea/juice and nuts. The tea was tasty and refreshing, but the nuts were stale. They really need to improve the food section significantly. For our last day, since we had to leave early, they offered us a boxed breakfast during check-in and took note of it. However, at check-out, nothing was prepared. The receptionist had no idea about it, and we did not have time to wait.

Slightly underwhelming experience. 1) Check-in and overall experience with staff: Just OK. No one was at reception upon arrival, but a guy eventually came and he was friendly. A girl at the breakfast area was also quite warm, but other than that, most others don't really interact with guests. 2) Location: It was clear before booking it was slightly off the old city, but there really was nothing within walking distance. No restaurants or shops to get food. One can walk to the old city (~20 mins) but the roads are unpaved and there is no street lighting at night. However, the hotel provides free shuttle service to the West Gate and the train station; very helpful. 3) Breakfast: Small spread but quite tasty. I recommend installing a coffee machine. 4) Amenities: The room was spacious and comfortable, but the water supply was very erratic. The first morning there was no water supply for hours, while the pressure became weak and the toilet couldn't flush on the second morning. Overall, it was quite average, but given the low price, I think it's still OK for budget conscious travellers who don't mind being away from the centre of Khiva.

Grazioso piccolo hotel, all'interno della città vecchia di Itchan Kala, perfetto per visitare Khiva e vicino a tutte le attrazioni principali, il personale è cordiale e disponibile. Non è troppo facile da raggiungere con un taxi perché alcuni di loro non possono entrare nella città vecchia. Bella vista dalla terrazza che purtroppo non è usata correttamente. Colazione nella media.

La pensione si trova nel centro storico. Entrate da una delle porte della città e camminate per circa 200 metri; i tassisti possono chiedere al guardiano di portarvi direttamente all'hotel. La sera, potete raggiungere a piedi la Torre Breve, a circa 200 metri di distanza, per ammirare il panorama notturno, ma dovrete attraversare un vicolo poco illuminato. La città è sicura.

Avevamo prenotato una camera ”familiare” - non ricordo esattamente come si chiamasse - con 3 letti. La camera era al primo piano - mobili vecchi, un bollitore e del tè (niente cucchiaini, caffè, zucchero - niente di niente). Non era stata ristrutturata da non so quanti anni. La cosa più interessante della camera era la vasca da bagno - il WC e il lavandino erano così vicini che non ci si poteva girare - e il WC perdeva (lo abbiamo segnalato all'amministratore, ma a quanto pare è normale, non è stato fatto nulla). Al nostro arrivo ho notato che l'aria condizionata soffiava la stessa aria calda della stanza, non raffreddava nemmeno di 20 gradi - l'ho segnalato all'amministratore, che ha detto che l'avrebbero riparata - alla fine, nessuna reazione - noi tre abbiamo dormito in una stanza soffocante - il giorno dopo, esausti, siamo andati a fare colazione. Oltre a noi, a colazione c'erano altre tre famiglie: siamo riusciti a prendere uova strapazzate e anguria bianca, e poi, secondo il principio ”chi non ce l'ha fatta, è in ritardo”, ci hanno portato anguria bianca, uova strapazzate, cetrioli e biscotti economici del supermercato, e basta! Non c'era niente da mangiare e il responsabile della cucina ha fatto finta di niente. La cosa peggiore è che c'è una macchina del caffè nella caffetteria, ma... il caffè è a pagamento per gli ospiti dell'hotel. Nel complesso, il servizio non poteva essere peggiore. Finalmente, dopo essermi rivolto alla reception e aver affermato categoricamente che l'aria condizionata non funzionava e che bisognava fare qualcosa, mi hanno offerto una camera al secondo piano. Era una bella camera con un letto (noi dormivamo in tre), ma aveva l'aria condizionata e il bagno funzionanti. Nessuna scusa o rimborso per la differenza di prezzo (avevamo pagato per una camera tripla). E per finire, al momento del check-out abbiamo chiesto due bottiglie d'acqua, ma la receptionist ha detto che non ce le avrebbe date perché erano a pagamento. Ho dovuto dimostrare che non c'era acqua in camera al nostro arrivo. In pratica, traete le vostre conclusioni: l'attenzione al cliente è pari a zero. Le colazioni sono state le peggiori che abbia mai fatto in due settimane di viaggio in Uzbekistan. La posizione è discreta, ma ci sono molti altri hotel nella città vecchia di Khiva. Se avete bisogno di una camera tripla, sconsiglio vivamente questa. Le camere doppie sono piuttosto buone.

I booked 2 nights in the hotel. The hotel is located right in front of the city wall. The staff is friendly. They helped me to book a taxi to Moynaq and Bukhara. The safety box didn't work but I felt safe anyways. The room and the toilet were ok just a bit smell if paint or something like that. They have kettle, coffee, water, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the room. The breakfast was very complete and the taste was good too. If you have a tour at 7 am they make sure you have your breakfast before you leave which was very kind of them.

Prima di tutto, ho prenotato questo hotel perché tutti gli altri alberghi nel centro di Khiva sembravano così datati. Potete vedere i loro bagni. La posizione è un po' lontana. Ho dovuto usare Yandex per andare in centro. Ma va bene. Non male. La parte negativa - NIENTE ARIA CONDIZIONATA IN CAMERA. Avevano una specie di rinfrescatore ma non è stato di grande aiuto. Un'altra parte negativa, la pressione dell'acqua non era costante. E un po' inquietante perché nessun altro soggiornava in questo hotel durante il mio soggiorno. E hanno spento alcune luci in hotel, forse per risparmiare sulla bolletta elettrica. Tutti i receptionist sono stati molto disponibili.

I due ragazzi al bancone sono molto gentili e attenti ad ogni esigenza. Le camere sono nuovissime e dotate di ogni comfort. Mi sono sentito a casa, seppur per solo una notte. Se dovessi tornare a Khiva, sceglierò senz’altro questa struttura.

La struttura è in posizione centrale vicina a tutte le attrazioni. Ali è un ospite gentile e disponibile per tutto. La camera doppia è essenziale dotata di tutti confort. Buona la colazione preparata al momento. L'hotel ha una terrazza da cui ammirare lo splendido panorama

Nice hotel. Exclusive breakfast. Located at Khiva old town, all attractions are walkable. The owner is nice. He switches on 3 heaters for us as the weather is below 0°C, extremely cold.. He also arranged a taxi for us to Bukhara. Its cost 80USD, take 6 hours to reach. Highly recommended
