*Review: One-Night Stay at Kenilworth Hotel, Kolkata* I recently stayed for one night at the Kenilworth Hotel in Kolkata and would rate my overall experience as a 6 out of 10. The hotel has a lot going for it, especially in terms of its location and general ambiance, but there are also a few aspects that could use improvement. To begin with the positives, the hotel is situated in a very convenient and well-connected area. Being close to central Kolkata, it’s easy to access various parts of the city, whether for business or leisure. The immediate surroundings are pleasant and relatively peaceful, which added to the comfort of the stay. The room provided was decent—clean, well-organized, and equipped with the expected amenities for a four-star property. The bed was comfortable, and the room had adequate lighting and storage space. The bathroom was functional and clean, although not particularly luxurious. In terms of comfort and upkeep, the room met my expectations. One feature I particularly appreciated was the hotel’s gym facility. It was clean, well-maintained, and had a decent range of equipment for a quick workout. For a short stay, it was more than sufficient and a welcome amenity for anyone looking to stay active while traveling. However, one significant downside was the dining experience. The biggest letdown was the limited food choices, especially in the set dinner menu. While the staff were polite and the service was timely, the menu lacked variety and felt quite restrictive. For a property of this category, I had expected a broader range of options, including some regional or seasonal specials. The lack of flexibility and limited appeal of the dinner options certainly took away from an otherwise comfortable stay. L'hotel era pulito e bellissimo. Il personale era amichevole e utile. La signora Kusum era molto gentile e professionale e persino cambiava la stanza secondo le nostre esigenze. Il colazione era con buona diffusione come al solito per gli standard JW. Solo il ritorno, troppo numerosi ospiti. Crowded durante il colazione e lobby erano riempiti di persone a causa di matrimoni e eventi. Altrimenti servizio, servizi e zone di piscina erano tutte bellissime. soddisfatto, nessun rimpianto

I had a great stay during my business trip. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, making it easy to relax after work. The staff were professional and helpful, and the check-in/check-out process was smooth. The location was convenient, and the overall service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business travelers and would be happy to stay here again.

This was one of our best stays in Kolkata. Hyatt Regency Kolkata is an excellent all purpose hotel with high end restaurants and five start guest services, fast Internet, clean rooms and bathrooms, fresh towels, clean water supply always and more. I highly recommend this five start hotel which has kept up to it's reputation for decades. It has a wide variety of food choices and sumptuous breakfast.

Elegant and luxurious hotel located in a beautifully renovated palace of royal family of Kolkata. Our room was very spacious, beautifully furnished with old, wooden furniture. The huge bathroom and all floors are made of marble. The hotel is located in multiple buildings of the palace complex. Delicious breakfast can be eaten outside in shaded patio or inside in air conditioned restaurant. Every evening there is a live show of folk dance performers. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel con i miei amici e ho prenotato una stanza separata per me stesso. L'hotel mi ha organizzato una camera al sesto piano con una vista meravigliosa sulla città di Kolkata. Il personale del servizio frontale era estremamente utile e gentile, soprattutto il signore con gli occhiali al check-in, che sempre rispettava le mie richieste e si rivolgeva alle denunce immediatamente. Ci hanno persino consentito un check-out tardivo perché il nostro volo era in ritardo, che apprezzo davvero. La mia stanza era spaziosa, pulita e ben mantenuta. Le strutture fornite erano di alta qualità. Il personale di servizio era gentile e si è manifestato orgoglioso del loro lavoro. Il personale di sicurezza all'ingresso principale era anche molto cortese e sempre pronto a aiutare se forniva un piccolo cambiamento per i conducenti di consegna o per i pagamenti Uber. Grazie speciali a Raghunath, uno dei gruppi di sicurezza, che ci ha aiutato a caricare oltre 60 chilogrammi di bagagli nel nostro Uber quando andavamo all'aeroporto. In generale, la mia esperienza era eccezionale. La gentilezza, il professionalismo e l'attenzione del personale erano veramente emersi. Raccomando molto questo hotel ai miei amici e colleghi che visitano Kolkata.

Molto amichevole personale e buona posizione. Anche se 3 stelle sono un po 'alto. È piuttosto 2,5 stelle. Colazione è stato un buon inizio del giorno, continentale e indiano. La stanza era piccola e vecchia, ac rumore. Ma chi se ne frega; non vai a Kolkata per soggiornare nella tua stanza. C'era una terrazza sul tetto dove potresti mangiare e bere.Tutto in tutta la grande permanenza.

Good location for tourist spots but quite noisy if you don't like the constant noise of beeping horns from the nearby road (not sure if it is even possible to escape this in India). It did get better between say 10.30pm and 8am). The train (immediately outside the hotel entrance) screeches by but not frequently, boat engines can be heard in the distance but it's on a river 😅. It was a bit of a party boat on some nights (loud and late disco noise if there is an event). The noise stopped at around 9pm one night but went on much later on another night; if your room is close to the bar it may be an issue was wasn't too bad for me as i use ear plugs. The most irritating noise, believe it or not, is people shouting or having loud conversations in the corridors. The room is 3* and there is no safe for your passport, cash, cards etc. The pillows, bed covers and floors were't cleaned particularly well. I had to help myself to consumables from the corridor as they weren't topped up by cleaners. Anyway, a very brief stay could be a good experience, one night maybe.I am pleased to have had the experience and despite the shortfalls would probably recommend it as a one off unique experience, for one or two nights. The breakfast was very good with lovely river views and a chill atmosphere.

Hospitality was excellent. All the staff were very courteous, which is really commendable as now a days hotel staff are usually found to be inefficient.
