Siamo arrivati prima del previsto. Abbiamo incontrato degli amici al Brindley Place e abbiamo trascorso un weekend piacevole insieme. La colazione era ottima, con molta varietà, personale cordiale e opzioni per tutte le esigenze alimentari.
Il parcheggio era vicinissimo e relativamente economico, considerando la posizione.
I letti erano molto comodi e il bagno ben fornito con prodotti White Company.
Nessun rumore dai vicini, quindi nel complesso un'ottima scelta.

KK2_travel_aroundSono arrivato sabato pomeriggio e ho trascorso la sera, poi sono andato domenica mattina.
Il WiFi non funziona in questa stanza, che non è buono.
Il tempo è un po' caldo, ma grazie a un fan nella stanza, la stanza è raffreddata a notte, il letto è grande (grande abbastanza per due persone) e la stanza è spaziosa con scrivania e sedie. Il bagno è ovviamente datato, ma le strutture funzionano bene, le tubature sembrano un po' vecchie, quindi potrebbe esserci un odore.
Ci sono molti canali televisivi da scegliere.
Si possono vedere alcuni edifici, l'autostrada e il ponte fuori dalla finestra e la scena non è niente da scrivere a casa.
Ho camminato attraverso il centro della città di Coventry per arrivare all'hotel e le strade sono interessanti da guardare.

UUtente ospitefirst room we got was dirty and had what i think was burnt bacon on the floor and some stains on the bed, along with a fish type smell so we got swapped, second room was great though, no window in either room but did have air conditioning so can’t complain. The lifts are not very great very unsettling so we opted for the stairs instead, but the stairwell in some areas was riddled with damp and mould so quite a hazard. entrance is in an alleyway which was really uncomfortable to get in, but based right in the centre which is exactly as we wanted. we staff at the reception was great the lady who swapped us was amazing, and another man there on the second day we informed him of a problem with the lift and he was lovely and kind, would recommend for maybe a one night stay or someone where just to sleep, not a hotel you’d want to stay in for a day.
note though that it does inform you on the FAQs that there is no room service during your stay unless you request it before 10am, so no fresh towels each day, which wasn’t a problem for us but may be for some others.

UUtente ospiteAfter unable to leave Birmingham, We decided to stop at the Clayton again and give it another night from the bad system issues they were having.
This was a lot better granted and the floors are very secure having floor locked to your key cards to get access. Breakfast we were earlier down and it paid off. Breakfast was better this time. Only little issue was the bathroom could do with a bit more attention to detail with little bits of little black mold in the more harder to reach areas and red residue in the grouting in the tiles. Apart from that sure I’d sure recommend it for the pricing

UUtente ospiteFirstly, the staff we encountered were lovely, very accommodating and helpful. The reception entrance was promising, being bright and modern with a very pleasant receptionist and smooth check in. However, our room lacked appeal, comfort or anything that made one wish to stay in it for longer than a night.
To be fair, we were asked twice on check in, if we would like to move to a different floor. I jokingly asked if there was a problem with the room we'd been allocated but was told no. We were allocated Room 7. Whilst it appeared clean to the best the facilities allowed, it was unpleasant. The bottom of the bathroom door appeared water damaged and rotten. The sink was cracked. The radiator was rusted by urine splashes as situated beside the toilet and the shower was situated in a recess with no curtain or screen, so quickly spilled on to the floor making the bath mat soaked. The lock on the bathroom door didn't work. There was no hair dryer. Only one USB point within the very small TV which only charged if it was on. Being on the ground floor, our window opened out on to the narrow walk way and one poor man walked into it on his way to reception. SatNav instructions take you to a dead end further down the road and several attempts at finding our way around the God awful roundabout eventually led us to a very small parking area at the front of the hotel. Breakfast at 9.00 pm was initially disappointing. One plate was available, no bread for the toaster, no milk for the cereals. One sausage, no beans, no bacon. More food did eventually appear, as did plates, and it was very nice. The croissants and pastries were lovely too. The coffee machine was good. As mentioned, the staff were very good and we requested an iron which was bought to us quickly with a board by a lovely young man. The bed was awful. Rock hard and not much comfort from a meagre duvet that was so thin that initially we thought it had been forgotten. Anyway, one night, cheap and basic. Served its purpose but would look elsewhere and pay more. Think we were just unlucky.
