Hotel Review – Hotel Ocidental Dresden Newa I recently stayed at Hotel Ocidental Dresden Newa, and while the property benefits from a central location in the inner city, the overall experience was disappointing. The hotel’s greatest advantage is indeed its proximity to the city center, allowing convenient access to major attractions and public transportation. However, aside from this, the stay was overshadowed by several shortcomings. Firstly, the amenities were very limited, and the guest room itself appeared dated and somewhat worn, reflecting the age of the hotel. This left an impression of tiredness rather than comfort. The most concerning issue, however, relates to the parking situation. The hotel advertises that it offers its own parking facilities, yet in reality, this is not the case. Guests are required to use a public parking facility nearby, which is misleading and highly inconvenient. This information should be corrected immediately, as it creates false expectations for visitors arriving by car. Additionally, the area in front of the hotel is consistently overcrowded with parked vehicles, often blocking arriving guests from accessing the entrance or unloading luggage during check-in. This further contributed to a frustrating arrival experience. In conclusion, while the central location is undeniably practical, the limited amenities, outdated rooms, misleading information about parking, and poorly managed entrance area significantly detract from the overall quality of the stay. I would strongly recommend the management address these issues to ensure a more accurate representation of the hotel and a better experience for future guests.

We were going to a gig at the nearby Haus Ansee and this was the closest hotel. Wonderful receptionist on Sat and Sunday morning who was so helpful! We managed to check in early(not guaranteed)and the room was lovely and comfortable. The parking garage for our hire car worked well and we left it when we got the tram into town. Cannot fault the breakfast at all and just generally all the service we received. Nothing not to like except I miss a tea/coffee tray but maybe this isn’t something that happens in bc Grr we nan hotels. Don’t hesitate….value for money! Sehr netter Service. Das Zimmer super mit einer tollen Küche. Sehr sauber. Frühstück Auswahl sehr umfangreich. Kann ich nur empfehlen. Lage zentral und nicht weit weg vom Hauptbahnhof.

Great location, almost within sight of the train station with a mall and abundant dinning options nearby. To the other direction are the sites you came to see in Dresden, close. The room is very modern, comfortable, and equipped with essentials like coffee. Downstairs is a comfortable bar and breakfast area - loaded with dozens of people during my visit. The staff were friedly if busy. Great price on the room and breakfast - which was great.

Sehr gute Lage, aufmerksamer Service und gutes Frühstück. Wir hatten Probleme mit der Klimaanlage, man hat sich jedoch schnell um eine Lösung bemüht. Störend war, dass morgens zwei Mal das Reinigungspersonal im Zimmer stand. Wenn der Checkout 11 Uhr ist, dann sollte der Gast morgens nicht gestört werden.

Molto vicino alla stazione principale di Leopzig. La stanza aveva un'interessante luce, che lo rendeva piuttosto buio. Molta scelta per colazione, che inizia dalle 0630.

Hotel at good location, walking distance to major attractions with many eateries around. We are upgraded to the junior suite, the room is big and the bed is comfortable. The staff are helpful, will recommend this hotel to those visiting Dresden. Walking to Dresden HBF is about 20 mins which is not very far.
