This hotel is simply unique. first of all the decor is beautiful, traditional chinese with a modern twist. The staff are extremely attentive and always helpful. They helped with any queries very quickly, attended to our laundry requests very quickly and never fails to serve up an awesome breakfast. OMG the breakfast - beats any 5 star hotel hands down. the simplicity and ”home cooked” food is stunning. Then attention they put into it is outstanding. The rooms are very comfortable too - but because it is in a old building the walls are not too thick. I love the location. it is not in the central shopping and eating area but it is only about a 5 to 7 mins walk away. Around the hotel there is also plenty of good food. Highly recommended. I will be back.

I also enjoyed the restaurant with its great choice of dishes. Strongly suggesting the place. The staff is very friendly and polite. When I was leaving I even got a small souvenir from the front desk manager. I stayed in a lot of hotels around China. I would say this was one of the best choices. The hotel has a very mystical vibe to it, a perfect blend of historical town feels with modern luxury amenities. The staff was super helpful and accommodating, we are vegetarians and they went above and beyond to cater to our taste and made some really nice traditional dishes. Joe, the manager there was very very helpful, he picked us up, offered to drive us to nearby villages and even cooked fried rice for us to take to the snow mountain. Overall the property, view, staff everything was top notch. Highly recommend it!

The location of this hotel is very good, can be easily located. It’s just next to the Zhongyi market, where you may find the price there is more reasonable if compare with those stores in Center area. The design of the hotel is nice, can feel the efforts they put in to design that. The owner is friendly, help us to carry those heavy luggages to level 2, and offer us Chinese tea at the classic Chinese tea table. This is a great experience staying in this hotel. I would love to recommend this to people visiting this nice place.

I cannot recommend Sunyata Homestay in Dali enough! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a place to stay—it was an experience of genuine warmth and care. The rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable, providing a serene escape after long days of exploring. The afternoon tea and breakfast they served were nothing short of extraordinary. I’ve stayed in multiple 4-5 star hotels across China over the past month, but the gourmet food here easily surpassed them all. Every bite was thoughtfully prepared, leaving me in awe of the flavors and quality. The location of Sunyata Homestay is also perfect. It’s just far enough from the bustling crowds to remain peaceful and quiet, yet close enough to Dali Ancient City that it’s only a few steps away from great eateries and the heart of the ancient town. The balance is ideal for anyone seeking convenience without sacrificing tranquility. A special shout-out to the young lady working in the coffee shop up front—her coffee is unparalleled! My husband, who is a daily coffee drinker and rarely impressed, couldn’t stop raving about her brews. It was, hands down, the best coffee we had during our travels. The staff here deserve every bit of praise. They were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely cared about making our stay memorable. However, what truly sets Sunyata apart is the incredible owner. My father had a bad accident in Dali on a rainy day, and I can honestly say I don’t know what I would have done without his support. Despite my limited Mandarin, he spent an entire day accompanying me to the hospital, ensuring we were well cared for and understood. The next day, he went out of his way to pick up the CT scans for us. His kindness and compassion left me speechless. The owner’s dedication to his guests is reflected in his amazing team, all of whom go above and beyond. Without his help, I would have had to cut my trip to China short. Instead, he turned a difficult situation into one where we felt supported and cared for like family. Sunyata Homestay is truly one of a kind, and I will forever be grateful for their hospitality. Prenotato un appartamento di 3 camere da letto per 5 adulti e 2 toddler. Situato in un fantastico centro ristorante e di fronte al Lago Erhai. Le 2 camere da letto hanno una camera da letto con bagno da bagno. The hotel's room were clean and everything was well maintained. Great customer services from helping to move my luggage to me room till helping my family in booking a transport for our tour at a last minute request. Breakfast was quite decent as well, utensils were cleaned and placed inside a sterilizing container, though there wasn't much to choose from, the kitchen staff were friendly and we could request to cook rice noodle and willing to help us add raw eggs into the noodle. Overall very satisfied and happy with the stay, not to mentioned great location, supermarket located right beside along with a few pharmacy and a 5-10mins walk from the entrance of the Ancient City. Definitely will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dali.

E'vicina a tre torre, molto vicina alla città antica.E'meglio dell'hotel vicino al mare di Liu, e'stato trasformato in un'aula.Principalmente silenzioso.
