Firstly, the room was excellent, ultra clean with bath and shower. The sheets were exemplary, bed very comfortable as were the pillows. Bar fridge and microwave, toiletries in the bathroom. Towels excellent. Airconditioning excellent. I was excited to see a very large, modern wide screen TV with onboard Android system. Disappointed that no internet connection (so I could have used my own passwords for my streaming services. Even more disappointed that there was no aerial connected, but I had brought my own tech and internet. I just switched off the TV. Imagine my extreme displeasure to board the 3rd floor lift at 05:00 to have the doors closed - but no button worked! I WAS TRAPPED IN THE LIFT!!! I pressed the yellow emergency button for 5 seconds - no answer - pressed multiple times. I phoned the hotel main number, so they could press the lift call button - no answer. I phoned the 24/7 emergency 1300 number. The operator said she would send someone out - who would phone me with an ETA. Getting anxious, being 60 years old with a heart condition, I dialled 000 to call the POLICE! The dispatcher commended me on remaining so calm. I assured her, being very hot in cramped spaces with very little air was definitely not conducive to my remaining calm. They said to call 000 back if I got out before the fire brigade arrived. Five minutes later I heard voices outside. Someone heard my banging on the lift doors and cries for help. I GOT OUT That night the guy on reception said sorry. I explained that, although the room was marvelous - and that I did eventually get out, a man of my age and I'll health could have died - why wasn't anyone on duty to answer the damn lift emergency phone? He said he was sorry.

Cairns City Center
The Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.

L'isola di sogno di giorno non è grande, ma molto carino. Molti cicli di barche da Hamilton all'isola di giorno sono molto conveniente ~!L'ultima barca che abbiamo seduto è in arrivo all'isola di giorno e ci ha inviato a tutti un colletto fatto da un piccolo pirata.Il personale è entusiasta e ricco colazione. Ci sono piccoli pesci di sabbia in tutte le parti del lago, 𫚉 pesci...Completamente mi sento bene!!!! Evitare di essere accentuati: se vuoi giocare da Hamilton Island o volare, scegliere di vivere su altre piccole isole. Non vivere su Long Island. Da Hamilton Island non c'è nessuna nave che raggiunga Long Island. Devi tornare al porto di Shute, e sono molto poche le volte. (E'molto fastidioso per chiedere tutta la giornata che tutti i tipi di rotte di trasporto che vogliono chiamare sono state fatte, perché non c'è più spazio libero sull'isola di Hamilton, e mi fa paura che Luke sia sull'isola). Siamo in aereo per arrivare all'isola di Hamilton. Abbiamo prenotato un soggiorno lungo per l'isola. Torniamo a Hamilton per vedere il cuore il giorno dopo. Il primo turno di partenza di Long Island è l'invio a Shute Harbour alle 8:00. Se ci fermiamo, devo aspettare fino alle 5:30 p.m. per arrivare a Hamilton ~ Me Dio!In quel momento, ho davvero scritto la valutazione dell'hotel che il bus acquatico era molto conveniente 🐶🐶🐶 Possiamo essere costretti a rinunciare al soggiorno a Long Island e a prenotare immediatamente un alloggio sull'isola di sogno.L'ultimo programma di turno è stato scattato dal porto di Hamilton Island, e si può fare riferimento. Personalmente, senti l'isola di Long Island come isolata, non come sviluppata dalla stessa società turistica. Le spese di alloggio non possono essere rimborsate ~ Quando abbiamo perso le spese di alloggio di 2 notti di Long Island. Inoltre, le spese di nave tra l'isola e l'isola non sono economiche. Tutti devono prendere in considerazione l'entrata quando prenotano un hotel! Vale la pena ricordare ~ L'isola dei sogni di giorno ci ha dato un buon umore di vacanza!Spero che scrivere cosi' tanta aiuterà tutti!Dopo tutto, uscire a giocare una volta non vuole nessuno cosi' male.

The location is perfect and centrally located in the heart of shopping centres, walking distance to the beach and night life. Great rooms on the 22nd floor. The beds are very comfortable, and the room is spacious for up to 3/4 people. The downside for us was that the staff at the reception told us that there wasn't a restaurant located in the hotel when we enquired while checking in, so we went out to look for something to eat after we checked in to the hotel, only to get back to find a brochure in our room advertising a Cafe conveniently located in the hotel for guests. I highly recommend that the staff need to be informed of any changes in the hotel so that they are able to provide accurate information about the hotel to the guests. The check-in and check-out process was great, made conveniently for guests and staff, there's no long cues at the reception👍🏾 We'll definitely be returning.

Stayed 4+1 nights here. Very bad experiences in the end: my wife’s jacket was lost inside the wardrobe, I had to take taxi from airport to the front desk seeking assistance and told them to urgently help as my flight boarding is half hour later. They shared the room had been occupied by new guests and if there is anything left by us the cleaner should have found it. I said I am in a high rush and why not you staff just escort me to go to the room and take a look. They said they need seek internal approvals and when the senior officer came out, she repeated the same words. All of them simply ignored that I was in rush and blindly asked me to be patient, and then they worked in an over-patient way by keeping me at the front desk area without any certainty. Finally I realized going to miss the air flight and had to leave. Half way back to airport they called my wife saying that they have found the jacket and that I am the wrong party who didn’t patiently wait for them to slowly slowly take their time. What a joke! Isn’t said by them that new guests have moved in and if there is anything left by us they should have found it? So now how did they find it out? And, I am the wrong party? I am supposed to wait for them to take time and miss air flight? What a lousy team! They should have worked as officials in a third-class country, who are good at killing time, twisting words and blaming others, rather than in the front line of a reputable hotel.

Apartment clean, just some rusty faucets. It was a nice to have some water put on the fridge but it really tasted like dishwashing… Annoying sound when we open the light in the bathroom. Really nice and spacious apartment, with more than I actually needed! Nice outdoor pool and jacuzzi. But the afternoon I arrived I wanted to lay down on the sunbeds but I wasn’t able to since the garden was being watered and the water goes so far that it goes into the pool and jacuzzi and made all the sunbeds soaked wet. I only got the chance to meet the receptionists/managers at my check out, since the opening hours are 9am-5pm and 9-12am on weekends. They were really nice. But I gotta say this is so weird for me to see a reception with such opening hours… Where I come from and in most countries I went to, this is 24/7 or close to it. There is not a real service, we have to find the room on our own(even if we get a map with our key in the safe box), I mean there was a binder with informations, we can send them texts but we have to wait to get an answer if any, I was always away before they opened and came back when they weren’t there anymore so I know it seems to be an Australian thing (and good for them!) but this lack of real human interaction is unfortunate. We receive ton of emails and I also think about the people who are not good at the technology stuff
