Tanzania: hotel con bar nella provincia di Kilmangiaro

I had dinner at the hotel and I did not realize that the waitress made a mistake and charged my credit card in US dollars instead of 33.990 TZ shillings. An hour later, the waitress knocked my door and told me about the mistake and that they would reverse the transaction in the morning. It took the hotel 2 days to sort that out with their bank (NMB Bank). I spent about US$500 on international phone calls with my bank in SA so that they undersand the problem and help me solve it. After a long struggle, I got my money back after 25 days. I am writing this to alert tourists who visit Tz. Please look at the credit card machine to ensure that the correct currency is being charged before pressing the buttons. Scrutinize the receipts that you get and keep them until you get home. Regardless of the nerve-racking experience that I had, I would like to thank the Kibo Palace Hotel administration and staff for their honesy (admitting the error) and for the great efforts they put forth to ensure thae reversal of the reve money as they had no experience with this issue before. Everybody at the hotel was sympathetic and very supportive. Every now and then they contacted me to see if I got the money or not. My advice to the hotel is to train their staff especially waitresses/waiters in using payment machines, and even improving their English to avoid such mistakes and hastles. I wish the accountant tooke me with her to the bank so that I know exactly what is going on so that I give solutions or ask my bank for solutions. if I come back to Moshi, I would definitely stay at the Kibo Palce Hotel and enjoy Mt Kilimanjaro views.

Non avrei potuto desiderare un hotel migliore. Le camere erano pulitissime e dotate persino di zanzariere. Le camere non utilizzate venivano arieggiate ogni giorno. Abbiamo potuto fare colazione e cenare sul tetto, che era delizioso. Anche quando non avevo altro da fare, potevo rilassarmi sul tetto e godermi la vista del Kilimangiaro. Soprattutto, il personale è stato incredibilmente gentile. Hanno prenotato un autobus economico dall'hotel a Dodoma e ci hanno persino fornito un servizio di prelievo dalla fermata. Hanno anche organizzato un tour del caffè per circa 35 dollari, ci hanno fornito pranzi al sacco e acqua e ci hanno persino portato a piedi alla cascata del villaggio, rendendolo un tour molto conveniente. Si sono sempre preoccupati per noi e hanno fatto preventivi onesti, quindi era chiaro che non erano interessati solo ai nostri soldi. Erano sempre disponibili ad aiutarci per qualsiasi cosa, come consigli sui buoni ristoranti nelle vicinanze. Se mai vi trovate a Moshi, vi consiglio vivamente di provarli.

Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Von dort hat man einen sehr gute Sicht auf den Kilimandscharo. Das Personal ist ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr empfehlenswert!

If you just look for an accommodation which is closed to the airport, then this is value of money. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer basic facilities.
