They were responsive to my emails prior to my arrival. My flight was delayed in Porto and arrived around 1 am when there was a staff waiting for me upon arrival (24 reception). I'd say the room was enough for me, essentials were provided such as shampoo, and body wash. The room is cleaned every day. The hotel is quite a walk from the old town though (20-30mins), and going back it is a really steepy hill so I'd advise to wear comfy shoes if you're walking to/from the hotel. Although there is a bus stop nearby and Ubers are relatively cheap. Breakfast wise- there is no hot food but you get your bread, fruit, yoghurt (continental breakfast). The staff were very helpful during my stay- very hospitable!! i would book again here to stay if I was in Porto.

Ho chiesto una camera in alto piano ed effettivamente è stato così, la vista era eccellente e con molto silenzio. Algo piccolo il più grande era la doccia ma per 4 notti senza problemi. C'era acqua e due bombole in frigorifero come benvenuto. L' letto confortevole . Tutto pulito ogni giorno. Molto funzionale l'hotel: WIFI molto bene e abbastanza inchiostri da ringraziare. Colazione corretta, con torte molto ricchi è quello che variavano ogni giorno . Il resto è sempre lo stesso. Il caffè migliorabile . Molto ben situato nel centro e vicino alla strada Picaria con bar e posti per mangiare vari. Stazione di metropolitana Trindade a 10 min a piedi, è quella che ti porta all'aeroporto ogni 15 min in 40 min. Giovane e molto gentile personale.

L'hotel è molto recente, ciò vuol dire che tutto nella stanza funziona in modo egregio: il bagno ha una doccia molto spaziosa, il letto è comodissimo, c'è un televisore molto grande, la climatizzazione è sempre perfetta. La camera è inoltre molto silenziosa e nel frigobar l'acqua è gratuita per il primo giorno. Lo staff è molto gentile e la colazione offre prodotti di alta qualità. Il cambio degli asciugamani avviene quotidianamente. La collocazione non è centralissima ma buona, tenetene conto in caso di forte pioggia se siete a piedi. La stazione della Metro più vicina è Carolina Michaelis, raggiungibile a piedi in meno di 10 minuti. E' molto comoda perché transita la stessa linea che va e viene dall'aeroporto e anche le linee che portano verso il cuore della città. Il centro storico di Porto si raggiunge a piedi in 25/30 minuti in discesa, se siete stanchi per rientrare e non avete voglia di fare la salita a piedi potete utilizzate la metro. Ci sono alcuni ristoranti a breve distanza, sia alla sinistra restando nella stessa via dell'hotel, che nella vicina Rua da Rosario. Il costo della stanza è stato inoltre molto conveniente, considerando che si tratta di un 4 stelle sostanzialmente nuovo.

This hotel has NO SECURITY!!!!This is an email I wrote to the manager of this hotel today. I have yet to hear back: Could you please contact me about the theft of thousands of dollars from our hotel room yesterday while we were at the Douro Valley? I have been trying to get in touch with you but apparently you are on holiday and not available. And are you the only manager of the hotel? This is very important to us as we have lost a lot of money and also need to go through customs with an explanation as to where the items we purchased are. We had clothes stolen that were brand new as well as my daughter’s computer and her Gucci sunglasses. I would also like to know if the video showed anyone besides the cleaning person entering our room? Additionally, I saw numerous homeless people wandering and sleeping right in front of the hotel, and the gate is completely open and the hotel is lacking in security in every way. Would you please also get your insurance information available for me so that when I do get a police report I can see if I can recoup some of this money through your insurance? Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed in the security of your hotel, and your inability to contact me. Please give Joan our thanks for helping us last night but having young employees who are not managers left to deal with hotel room theft is both inappropriate and unprofessional. Enclosed for your review are photos that I took directly in front or near the hotel just this morning. Judge for yourself.

L'hotel si trova appena fuori dalla stazione della metropolitana. L'hotel è nuovo e pulito. C'è una macchina per il caffè in camera e un piccolo frigorifero. Ci sono molti tipi di colazione a buffet. Per la prima volta c'è una bevanda frizzante per la colazione. Lo svantaggio è che la stanza è al primo piano e c'è una metropolitana leggera che corre fuori dalla finestra, quindi puoi sentire chiaramente il rumore dell'auto.

Typical of the Portuguese Hotels we have had on our Bunnik tour on the Portuguese leg. Stairs and no ramp to get suitcases into the hotel and a bit if a shortage of staff to help. No tea and coffee or free water in the room only one free plug on one side of a double bed. Our bathroom toiletries was a shower cap but there were squeeze bottles of shower gel,shampoo and bath gel attached to the shower. Only one glass in the room although we were in a room for couples; there were 2 small ones in the bathroom. The tiny glasses allowed you to have some water to brush your teeth so you don't bang your head on the overhead cupboard mirror which is totally unnecessary since it doesn't hold anything. The basin was so shallow that you dare not leave it running long. There was a bidet if you need one, otherwise it just takes up valuable bathroom realestate. One of the few hotels without a pool and reliable WiFi in our room. No news in English. but old movies overdubbed in Portuguese. I was told that they were working on upgrading their WiFi. On the plus side, the room was clean, breakfast was plentiful with a good range of food. Thr staff as helpful as as was possible. The area is good for access to art galleries and eateries.
