not a great monument to a national hero
Close to the north gate of Shwedagon, 3000 kyat for foreigners to enter. Some information boards only in Burmese, not very helpful for the foreigners. A place of historical significance to the country...

A Quiet Historical Place
When you see barbed wired gates, red and grey coloured stones, you're in the right place. Go to that huge entrance and see a small ticketing booth. It's 3,000 Myanmar Kyats for foreigners. No brochure...

The posters in the yard are only in Myanmar language. The whole place is quite empty. The entrance fee for foreigners is 3000kyat.

Better to visit Aung San Museum to understand his role
For Myanmar people who already know the story, this may be a place to contemplate, but there is little help given to those who dont know that history.
