You can get to the statute, but you must do so very carefully. There are two parking spots right behind the statue but they were taken and I suspect that is common. I parked at the Old Windmill Pub....

love going by this statue, just a reminder of the olden days esp with the fort still being on the hill, i sometimes do get out and go to the fort just a neat thing to show the grand children
