Not a beautiful sight, but informative.
A short stop on the main park road illustrating the power of a rock avalanche that occurred over 300 years ago.
A different perspective!
Beautiful must see while driving through the park. There is a nice area to pull off the road and a great exhibit that explains this entire pile of rocks. Great views of Lassen Peak.
Along the way
Not .to see, but all part of the geology of the region. There is, as in all of the park, signage to help. But the area is just a brief stop on the main park road so no reason not to include it on yo...
Beautiful View
Uphill all the way! So worth the view at the end. Be prepared. Plenty of water and snacks are needed. At least it is all downhill on the way back!
Worth the walking!
There is so much to see and do in this spectacular park! We make time to visit Chaos Crags and Jumbles our favorite of the Lassen Volcanic National Park. Our family loves this great place! We can’t wa...
