世界平和を祈ってつくられたたくさんの折鶴たち

　原爆の爆心地に近い長崎の平和公園。広い公園の北の端の方に、有名な平和記念像が建っています。その像の横に建っていたのが、高さが３ｍほどある折鶴の塔でした。 　塔の中には、とてもたくさんの色とりどりの折鶴が下がっていました。この折鶴たちは、世界の恒久平和を祈って寄せられたものなんですね。

平和祈念像の隣にある黄金の鶴

平和公園の平和祈念像の隣に並んで、この折鶴の塔があります。高さ３メートルほどの塔で、その塔の頂には大きな黄金の折鶴が置かれています。塔の中は空洞になっていて、そこには千羽鶴やお供え物が置かれていました。
