特攻飛行機が展示されています

特攻やその訓練に使われた飛行機のレプリカが公園内に展示されています。 また知覧特攻平和会館では、特攻を実行する数日前に特定の宿舎に集められ、隊員達で飲み明かしたり家族に手紙を書いたりして過ごし、何人かは夜中に啜り泣いていたという解説がありました。とても切ない話でした。 桜がたくさん植えられていました。春に訪れてみたい場所です。
