チェーンがされて中には入れませんでした。もともとの茅葺家は火災により焼失したため、立て直された建物です。

観光客まばらで静かでした。
宮本武蔵生家跡付近にはお土産物屋、武蔵神社や武蔵の里五輪坊、交流館、武道館、クアガーデンなどがあって、一大宮本武蔵観光地となっていますが、観光客はまばらでした。そのおかげで小川が流れる生家跡は静かでとても落ち着いたところでした。
