Hats off to the people who worked on this project only wish Qld Govt were building more! Very informative board within building to appreciate what has been achieved!
Checkout the Outlet!
You can get up close and personal to the dam outlet. Spectacular! You can get up to a few feet away, unusual. Worth a look, at the base of the damn.
Interesting water infrastructure
The dam itself is easily viewed by following the road to Danbulla NP: offers good aspects to the dam and spillway which at the time of our visit was discharging.
Great little caravn park - very reasonable rates
Really close to the lake and lots of places to visit nearby, and lots of good day trips to be had if you make this your base for the lower end of the tablelands. Lovely managers.
