Our choice for walks

Almost every day we went to the river for a variety of walks, some of which we repeated. Our interest beyond walking was birds and butterflies and we enjoyed these.

Gorgeous walk from Jimena

We walked from the village down to the river. Quite a steep climb, but so beautiful. There were people swimming in the river.

No water in the river

No water in the river. It was very difficult to find and not worth going at all. The trip by car up the mountains is much better.

Lovely walks

From the bridge at Jimena you can walk along past the old bomb factory ruins (18th century) and either go up into old Jimena or continue round to the camp site, taking in the cave paintings. Make sure...
