Five minute pit stop to take photos of this impressive gorge
Easy to pull up by the bridge and take a few photographs of this gorge, waterfall and bridge. Lovely colour water and impressive size rocks!

Gates of Haast is a fancy name for gorge where the road crosses from one side of the river to the other as you head up, or down the pass. On the way up, there's decent area to pull over and take pictu...
River on way To Haast
We stopped on the way to Haast from Wanaka. Parking off the bridge and walk back about 20 mtrs. Plenty of water in river.

This is a well known panoramic view of the bridge over the Haast River. It is worth a short photo stop.

Recommend a drive by currently as track closed due to unstable ground looks dodgy big cracks and ground slipped
