Scenic area that is walkable from end to end. Can complete in half a day. If travelling with elderly people that cannot walk much, it is possible to engage a certified guide at the entrance for 100 yuan for a group. The guide can provide transport depending on what they have (scooter/ car) to bring you from attraction to attraction. We visited the main attractions in less than 2 hours with a car. At the end of the tour, the guide suggest for you to drink tea at their "home" as a way to bring you to a tea shop.
okaykennnQuanzhou string puppet show performance
The performers are excellent. The show is in Minnan dialect which I can understand. My grandmother speak Minnan and it brings back a lot of childhood memories. It's like hearing my grandmother speak to me again It's a must see for the overseas Chinese whose native land is in Quanzhou. For those who do not understand Minnan dialect, there are LED subtitles on the left and right side of the stage.
