A bit far from Ningde, but the park is very nice. I went there on May 2, 2024, during the Labor Day Holiday and it wasn't as crowded as other scenic areas. The waterfalls are stunningly beautiful and loud.
Start around 4 pm and stayed in the small town about 5 mins drive away from entrance. Wander around and wait till around 6.30pm where the lights start to lit up. Unreal! The night view is absolutely the main event - daytime is just the warm up.
This hidden gem of a town—rightly named one of "China's Most Beautiful Villages" by *National Geographic* Autumn is the best of the four seasons here Great and unique experience surrounded by ancient walls and nature. We slept inside the farm village and in the morning they brought us with small tuk tuk to get a taxi to cable car area around 10 mins away from cable B entrance. We decided to do cable B and after return with cable A. Too hot outside but we managed to walk. You an get the ticket in the entrance there are automatic machines and also ticket stand. Once arrive up we walked through ancient village on top with lots of ways to reach different part of this wonderful village. There are food and drinks everywhere. After in tge end there is the big bridge and hopefully you reach the entrance cable A. i see there are also path to walk if you don’t like cable but is quite a lot to walk down. We were unfortunate with tge weather as there was a typhoon that day so we had to leave.
Incredible scenery and well-organized park. Wuyishan National Park is a must-visit! The dual UNESCO heritage status is entirely justified. The absolute highlight of our trip was taking the bamboo raft down the Nine-Bend Stream (Jiuquxi), the river views of the steep Danxia cliffs are spectacular. We also climbed the 848 steps up to Tianyou Peak. It is a bit steep but the panoramic view from the top makes it completely worth it. The park’s internal shuttle bus system is very convenient for getting between attractions. Highly recommend staying near the scenic area to explore the tea fields and enjoy a slow-paced trip.
