Less touristy than Zhangjiajie, with hardly any foreign tourists during my visit, although there were still plenty of local tourists as usual. There are four main sections to hike through in 七星寨. The scenery in the first two sections is nice, but there are quite a lot of stairs to climb. The real highlights start from the 3rd and 4th sections, which are much more scenic and also easier to walk around — definitely more knee-friendly!At the 4th section, a trail leads to a series of elevators that take you down to the base. From there, take the shuttle bus back to the tourist centre before continuing the journey to 云龙地缝.Personally, I found the scenery inside 云龙地缝 much more impressive than at the top. The dramatic cliffs, series of waterfalls and crystal-clear water make the walk really beautiful. The trail is also relatively easy and enjoyable. At the end of the trail, you can either take the elevator back to the top or challenge yourself by climbing the 999 steps!
