This was an unexpected gem! La Plantation is a pepper plantation about 35 minutes outside of the centre of Kampot. They offer free guided tours in French and English explaining what they do as well as the different varieties of pepper that they produce, which is then followed by a tasting session! This is all completely free! There is also a little cafe where you can enjoy a coffee and an ice cream (most flavours have a pepper twist... I enjoyed the lime sorbet with Kampot pepper!) with beautiful views over the countryside.

Durian Roundabout in Kampot is one of the most unique landmarks in Cambodia. Located in the heart of the city, this giant durian statue has become a popular photo spot for visitors. The roundabout is surrounded by local shops, restaurants, cafes, and small streets where you can experience the relaxed atmosphere of Kampot. I especially enjoyed visiting in the evening when the area became more lively and colorful. It is an easy place to stop while exploring the city and a great spot to take a few memorable photos. A short visit here is definitely worth adding to your Kampot itinerary.
