Indonesia: hotel con spa nella provincia di Giava Orientale

Il servizio è stato eccellente; è il miglior hotel di Surabaya. Il centro commerciale al piano inferiore è molto comodo e si può persino fare shopping da Pop Mart e acquistare Labubu (un popolare articolo di moda per bambini). È stato probabilmente l'hotel più economico e al tempo stesso più soddisfacente in cui ho soggiornato durante tutto il mio viaggio in Indonesia. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

Baobab Safari Resort is located quite far from Surabaya city centre, but it is definitely worth the approximately 1-hour drive from Surabaya Airport. We booked two connecting rooms, both with balconies. We were assigned to Level 4, and the view was absolutely magnificent, overlooking Mount Arjuno and Mount Welirang. Waking up to the mountain scenery was truly refreshing. Cooling weather, fresh air and beautiful scenery. Food Experience The highlight of the meals was the Nasi Rawon. The beef was very tender—soft and melt-in-the-mouth—and the soup was rich and flavourful. The portion size was generous. Other food items were acceptable but nothing particularly outstanding. For breakfast, however, the buffet spread was rather limited, especially in terms of meat and protein options. Room & Amenities The room itself looked decent but slightly dated. That said, the beautiful view more than compensated for it. One important note: do stock up on your own bottled water before arriving. The hotel uses refillable glass bottles, and unfortunately, the wooden covers of the glass containers appeared very mouldy, which was quite off-putting. Activities & Environment There are plenty of activities available. A walk through the Enchanted Forest thats full of pine trees and feeding area for Capybara, Lama, Sheep is possible, though you’ll need to take a buggy from another area. The Safari Zoo is located separately but can be arranged by the hotel. Animals around the hotel can be fed according to scheduled timings. Waterbucks, however, can be fed with carrots 🥕, which were provided by the hotel on the day of check-in. The lobby and dining areas were a standout—beautifully designed and facing the roaming animals while still maintaining a safe boundary within their designated area. Animal Welfare I have always been quite sceptical about zoo animals in Indonesia due to past negative experiences, where animal welfare did not seem well cared for. However, Baobab Safari Resort truly changed my perspective. The environment is clean, the animals appear well fed, and I frequently saw zookeepers actively present in the animal areas, feeding hay and grass to the zebras, waterbucks, buffaloes, and giraffes. It was reassuring and heartening to see such care and commitment. This experience made me believe that proper education and responsible management really do help build a better environment for zoo animals. Overall, it was a meaningful and memorable stay for my family.

This is actually a VERY COOL hotel. As someone who LOVE vintage things, I really appriciate this place. From their historical front building, their vintage styled room, all took me back to the 90s to early 2000. The NOSTALGIA 🥺. When I was little, my grandpa and grandma used to take me travel and stayed at hotels. So hotels like these have a special place in my heart. Unfortunately, it looked like they really cut down the budget. Although they gave a very cheap price for their room (not more than IDR 250K including breakfast), on WEEKENDS?? But the towels were not white anymore and felt thin (not like other hotel towels), the sheets had tough spots, and no shower cap. But I loveddd the lemongrass soap and shampoo, and they were in dispensers so less plastic waste. The breakfast was really sad. It was nice when I stayed here around a couple of years ago. But this time it was worse. Not too many options and looked empty. Really felt like they didn't put much effort. Well, what do you expect for that price? And I understand they might be in a very tight budget. I noticed they added a ”Mini Zoo” signage. A staff warned me that there were not many animals yet. But I decided to go see it. Turned out it was located in the side of the parking road (but outdoor), there were fishes and a big avian animal (like chicken but different, I don't know what it was). And some parakeets in two separate cages, they were all dead 😭😭 I told a staff and they quickly removed the dead birds. Good idea but poor execution. But anyways, location was top. Just a few meters across the street, there was a bus stop and you can hop on the Suroboyo Bus to go anywhere. And the hotel itself was in a main street of a hot destination (Old Town Surabaya), with historical buildings complex, also with the chinatown nearby. I really hope they can survive this economy storm. I really love this hotel 🥺.

La colazione era un'altra attenzione per il nostro soggiorno. La diffusione era impressionante, offrendo una buona miscela di piatti locali, opzioni internazionali e anche selezioni giapponesi. Da morsi deliziosi a cure dolci, c'era qualcosa per ogni umore e ogni appetito. Se il colazione è la “favore o pausa” di un soggiorno in hotel, allora questo hotel ha certamente capito l'assegnazione. Vorrei anche fare un riferimento speciale a Rusli alla reception, che ha dato un'ospitalità e un professionalismo caldi, che hanno contribuito a dare il tono al nostro soggiorno fin dal momento in cui siamo entrati. Un altro grido di cuore va a Igrima dal ristorante. Anche se è ancora una formatrice, la sua dedizione, attenta e vera passione per il servizio si è chiaramente sfociata. Ha gestito i suoi compiti con la fiducia di qualcuno che ha lavorato nell'industria per anni una vera stella ascendente nella squadra. In generale, il nostro soggiorno era memorabile, comodo e piacevolmente senza saldatura. Con un servizio coerente e tocchi pensativi come questi, sono sicuro che il nostro terzo soggiorno non è solo probabile è inevitabile. Sicuramente saremo di nuovo!

Il secondo soggiorno qui e la coerenza è solida. Le camere sono pulite, comode e ben mantenute non cade in standard rispetto alla mia prima visita. Il servizio è stato facile in tutto. La posizione è molto conveniente con facile accesso alle strutture e ai trasporti vicini.Abbiamo mangiato a Nishimura è decente non sopra il top, ma affidabile e ben gestito. In generale, un hotel affidabile che fornisce costantemente.Tornerebbe di nuovo.

La posizione è molto buona, le camere non sono molto spaziose ma pulite. Il bagno è piccolo ma lo scaldabagno funziona bene. La connessione Wifi è fluida ma la scrivania è troppo piccola per un laptop e un bollitore. Ma nessun problema. C'è anche un servizio di parcheggio gratuito. Il problema era che l'aria condizionata nella nostra camera 9012 (soggiorno dal 9 al 24 aprile) non funzionava normalmente, siamo arrivati ​​solo di notte dopo essere tornati a casa, ma aspettavamo da molto tempo ma non faceva freddo. Alla fine lo staff tecnico è venuto a controllare e ad aggiungere freon all'aria condizionata esterna, dopodiché la temperatura della stanza è diventata un po' fredda ma non così fredda come dovrebbe essere 😢 ma poiché era già sera non volevamo cambiare stanza. Per il menu della colazione compreso così così, i bambini di 5 anni pagano 50.000 IDR, a differenza del solito, i bambini di 5 anni sono comunque gratuiti. Non c'è una piscina per bambini, solo una piscina per adulti con una profondità di 120 cm. E purtroppo apre solo alle 10, dopo l'ora della colazione (forse perché è sullo stesso piano). E chiude alle 17:00. Si spera che i servizi e le strutture vengano ulteriormente migliorati, in particolare l'aria condizionata e la piscina. 👌

I don’t quite understand the hype surrounding this hotel. Apart from its scenic view and peaceful ambiance, there’s not much else to say about it. The breakfast was ordinary, and you’ll have to pay extra for a cappuccino, while black coffee is the only one that’s free. The TV is also quite small. I’m not planning to return here.
