We choose to stay in Swiss-Bel due to our great experience with Ciputra in Semarang which is owned by Swiss-Bel.
Unfortunately, Swiss-Bel Surabaya can't compete with Ciputra Semarang. Both hotels have similar pricing, but Ciputra has a much better atmosphere and amenities.
Swiss-Bel Surabaya has no bar area. The breakfast is served in the lobby where guests check-in and people outside walk by.
The food choice is much less than Ciputra and Swiss-Bel Malang.
However, the hotel itself is good and breakfast sufficient if you don't compare it with Ciputra and Swiss-Bel Malang.
One thing which absolutely needs to be improved is that jam, chocolate paste and peanut paste should be served in cups, not jars where guests have to scoop out the sweetness themselves with a knife or spoon.
This is unhygienic and not tasteful.

Facile accesso alla principale attrazione turistica di Surabaya, Jalan Tunjungan. Posizione molto bella, tranquilla. Tuttavia, ho trovato l'hotel un po' buio. È solo una questione di gusti personali. Preferisco ambienti luminosi e camere ben illuminate.

Room is spacious and clean. Breakfast variety is good. Getting to the room is confusing at the start (lift at hidden area, need to go up, walk across the bridge and take another lift to go up again), LG and level 3 is the same. 2 restaurants on site where the food is quite good. Not walkable to anywhere, quite convenient using grab each time though.

Il personale caldo e amichevole che ha dato buone e pratiche consulenze sulle proteste e sulla sicurezza è stato molto apprezzato.
Le camere sono grandi (norme di dimensioni da un momento diverso) e la combinazione di caratteristiche vintage analogiche e caratteristiche aggiornate è affascinante.
La distribuzione di buffet è di ottima qualità, pulita e una buona combinazione di deliziose opzioni locali e internazionali continentali.
Il bagno è bello, anche se il servizio può variare - ho avuto un bellissimo terapeuta e il terapeuta del mio amico ha usato il suo telefono durante la sessione (che non è accettabile in nessun luogo di massaggio, cosa altro in questo punto) incongruo con gli standard di servizio e ospite molto elevati fissati dal resto del personale.
Tornerei e resterai qui di nuovo!

I loved this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Always with a smile on their faces. I had basic room and it was fine, very good value. Beautiful location overlooking Bali. Lovely pool area. I would book here again if I’m lucky enough to return 🙏🏼🙏🏼

valutato eccellente posizione servizio servizi pulizia ma pulizia da tenere d'occhio sulla quantità di articoli da toeletta come shampoo, balsamo e lozione - ha 2 set invece di 1 per coppia e contenuto completo piuttosto porzione. Istruzioni da visualizzare dove è nascosto il pannello luminoso.

La camera era grande, comoda e pulita. Consiglio vivamente di soggiornare qui se andate a Surabaya. Il letto è abbastanza largo da ospitare fino a 3 persone 😁

Molto buono
NNS30Baobab Safari Resort is located quite far from Surabaya city centre, but it is definitely worth the approximately 1-hour drive from Surabaya Airport.
We booked two connecting rooms, both with balconies. We were assigned to Level 4, and the view was absolutely magnificent, overlooking Mount Arjuno and Mount Welirang. Waking up to the mountain scenery was truly refreshing. Cooling weather, fresh air and beautiful scenery.
Food Experience
The highlight of the meals was the Nasi Rawon. The beef was very tender—soft and melt-in-the-mouth—and the soup was rich and flavourful. The portion size was generous. Other food items were acceptable but nothing particularly outstanding.
For breakfast, however, the buffet spread was rather limited, especially in terms of meat and protein options.
Room & Amenities
The room itself looked decent but slightly dated. That said, the beautiful view more than compensated for it.
One important note: do stock up on your own bottled water before arriving. The hotel uses refillable glass bottles, and unfortunately, the wooden covers of the glass containers appeared very mouldy, which was quite off-putting.
Activities & Environment
There are plenty of activities available. A walk through the Enchanted Forest thats full of pine trees and feeding area for Capybara, Lama, Sheep is possible, though you’ll need to take a buggy from another area. The Safari Zoo is located separately but can be arranged by the hotel.
Animals around the hotel can be fed according to scheduled timings. Waterbucks, however, can be fed with carrots 🥕, which were provided by the hotel on the day of check-in.
The lobby and dining areas were a standout—beautifully designed and facing the roaming animals while still maintaining a safe boundary within their designated area.
Animal Welfare
I have always been quite sceptical about zoo animals in Indonesia due to past negative experiences, where animal welfare did not seem well cared for. However, Baobab Safari Resort truly changed my perspective.
The environment is clean, the animals appear well fed, and I frequently saw zookeepers actively present in the animal areas, feeding hay and grass to the zebras, waterbucks, buffaloes, and giraffes. It was reassuring and heartening to see such care and commitment.
This experience made me believe that proper education and responsible management really do help build a better environment for zoo animals.
Overall, it was a meaningful and memorable stay for my family.

PPolka13This is actually a VERY COOL hotel. As someone who LOVE vintage things, I really appriciate this place. From their historical front building, their vintage styled room, all took me back to the 90s to early 2000. The NOSTALGIA 🥺. When I was little, my grandpa and grandma used to take me travel and stayed at hotels. So hotels like these have a special place in my heart.
Unfortunately, it looked like they really cut down the budget. Although they gave a very cheap price for their room (not more than IDR 250K including breakfast), on WEEKENDS?? But the towels were not white anymore and felt thin (not like other hotel towels), the sheets had tough spots, and no shower cap. But I loveddd the lemongrass soap and shampoo, and they were in dispensers so less plastic waste.
The breakfast was really sad. It was nice when I stayed here around a couple of years ago. But this time it was worse. Not too many options and looked empty. Really felt like they didn't put much effort. Well, what do you expect for that price? And I understand they might be in a very tight budget.
I noticed they added a ”Mini Zoo” signage. A staff warned me that there were not many animals yet. But I decided to go see it. Turned out it was located in the side of the parking road (but outdoor), there were fishes and a big avian animal (like chicken but different, I don't know what it was). And some parakeets in two separate cages, they were all dead 😭😭 I told a staff and they quickly removed the dead birds. Good idea but poor execution.
But anyways, location was top. Just a few meters across the street, there was a bus stop and you can hop on the Suroboyo Bus to go anywhere. And the hotel itself was in a main street of a hot destination (Old Town Surabaya), with historical buildings complex, also with the chinatown nearby.
I really hope they can survive this economy storm. I really love this hotel 🥺.

MMuzaharIt's an amazing hotel with excellent hospitality, almost all staff are helpfull and you can feel safe to stay here. The front desk is very helpfull as well and provide all the informaton needed.
The room is very clean and all functionaliry is working. The feel of stay is like at your home house.
Hotel facilities also very good condition and manageable.
It's a valuable stay.

La posizione è ottima, a 800 metri dalla stazione ferroviaria di Malang e passando per il monumento di Malang. È al livello degli hotel espressi nazionali e relativamente pulito Essendo una città turistica, il prezzo di meno di 20 dollari USA è davvero buono. Anche lo scenario fuori dall'hotel è molto bello.

CCiauciauHotel’s ambience is relaxing. Ocean is at the hotel’s backyard with huge greeneries, coconut trees, and simply beautiful.
Breakfast spread is not bad, the taste is so so. Swimming pool is infinity style and quite big. There is also gym in the hotel.
Room is small, bed is only 100 x 200 for twin. Separate toilet and shower room which size is in the smallish end. Balcony is quite big so you could sit down and enjoy reading. If you want to go with family, book enough room as there is no extra bed except in suites (sofa bed style).
As it is near the ocean, it could be windy.
You need car/transport to go around as it is not exactly in the city centre.
Good place to relax if you happen to be in East Java.

La camera è molto luminosa, quindi abbastanza luminosa quando ne ho bisogno per lavorare durante il mio viaggio di lavoro. La colazione offre una discreta scelta. Tornerò sicuramente e soggiornerò qui in un prossimo viaggio.

Nnasaa_La posizione è strategica. Vicino alla zona campus. Vuoi andare da qualche parte. Le strutture sono molto complete. Pulizia è il numero 1 sii. Nella zona della piscina c'è un giardino, quindi si può godere di tempo mentre si divertono. Top per la Grande Valonia. Continua a funzionare
